Q:
Lol with the way this restaurant was set up, did It use to be a strip club?
A:
Nope - previously it was Acapulco (a Mexican restaurant similar to El Torito).
Steve F.Â1 year agoQ:
Are they still serving soup in styrofoam bowls? How about forks, and spoons? Plastic? TIA.
A:
Hi Kim! — We are no longer using plastic bowls/plates and silverware, we are now using regular plates, bowls, and silverware. It’s great to be back and we hope to see everyone again!

I try to stop by here with friends every time I'm in San Diego!!
I loveee seafood and this buffet gives you the best bang for your buck. They have such fresh oysters and crab legs!
The people here are always so friendly and the place is huge, which works well when we have large parties !!
If you're in the area, come by. You wont regret it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jordan M.WINNETKA, CA16248Feb 22, 2024
Directions & Parking: Heading west on Miramar, entrance is the first driveway after passing Clayton drive. Miss the driveway? You have 2 more driveways to enter. Miss those? You can turn right on Camino Ruiz and right into the next driveway. Miss those? You should probably order for delivery...lol j/k. We went on a Wednesday night around 530pm, and parking was plentiful In the dedicated parking lot In the good-sized strip mall.
Food: *FYI, I have a peanut and seafood allergy, so I can't speak to the seafood side*. BUT, they did have a good assortment of food that I could eat. First impressions were that the food didn't look all that fresh, but that changed once I saw a manager-of-sorts doing rounds and making sure there was plenty of stock.
What I ate:
Hot & Sour Soup - I'd say just a couple steps below the best I've had, but it was good. Skip the crunchy noodle strips because they were stale.
Chicken Broccoli - Good flavor, broccoli had pale color in some areas which suggests they're not very fresh.
Bokchoy sautéed in garlic - also didn't look fresh, but flavor and taste good
Korean Short Ribs - couple steps below best I've had, and not as tender, but good enough.
French fries - hot and crispy
Fried Chicken Wings - hot, crispy and OH SO DELICIOUS! *Warning* When I went for seconds, I noticed they placed them in the same pan as what seemed to be fried fish pieces. I didn't get a reaction though, so I went for thirds...even fourths!
Mongolian Beef - tasted like the Korean short ribs and not as mongolianey as I'm used to. Beef was also kinda chewy. Nice to try, but would pass next time.
Rice - fluffy and fragrant located in large rice cooker.
Smores - Yes, you read right! There was a s'mores bar and a sterno looking deal (chaffing fuel) where you'd heat up the marshmallows. I was concerned there'd be a taste from the chaffing fuel, but didn't taste anything. Kinda difficult to toast marshmallows without going closer to flame and inadvertently lighting and burning marshmallow.
Ice Cream - comes from Thrifty! Flavors ranging from chocolate malted crunch, to coconut pineapple, to sorbet!
Chocolate fountain - my kid loved it and marshmallows were fresh.
Service and ambiance: very polite and friendly staff And were attentive to our dirty plates and anything else we needed. Very clean and modern looking from outside to inside. Too clean, that we can smell the cleaner while eating. Definitely doesn't help with keeping appetite, but wasn't a deal breaker.
Overall: Would definitely recommend this place and go back again when we have the chance. I would guess that this place gets very busy on the weekends considering it's only one of few buffets around the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 2024
Super fun experience considering I haven't been to a buffet in years! SO MANY options to choose from, if was fun to pick and choose different things. Super spacious place, would be great for events and parties!
Overall the food was good and I definitely left FULL! Fun little additions to the place such as a chocolate fountain and a s'mores station! Staff was very kind and attentive and the restaurant was very clean and organized!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 20241 check-in
This was hands down one of the best buffets I've ever been too. From the quick service to the variety and freshness of the food, this place has it all!
This place is very large and can easily accommodate large groups, there was plenty of TVs as well and a full bar!
The variety of food was outstanding, there was sushi, seafood, meat, bao buns, and tons more! There was so much to choose from and everything I got I loved! The frog legs were the BEST I've ever had. They were so moist and crunchy and had excellent flavor. I also loved the fried rice, Mongolian beef, the hot and cold crab legs and the sushi! The sushi was outstanding for a buffet and there was tons of options! They even had sea snails, that was fun to try.
The s'mores station was so unique and so cute, as well as the cotton candy and chocolate fountain. The banana pudding is also a must try.
I can't wait to come back, I am blown away that I haven't checked this place out sooner! Highly recommend.Helpful 14Thanks 3Love this 8Oh no 0 - 710108128Feb 2, 2024
Came here with my son after a day of work. We were both excited to eat! My son's eyes opened wide when he saw their layout and variety of foods. We both hit up the buffet and swallowed far more than $30 worth of seafood. (pics attached)
I started with sashimi and rolls, then moved to nigiri, then crab legs. It was awesome! I ate so much I didn't have much room for dessert.. Service was attentive until I wanted to leave, I couldn't find anyone to give me my check.
The only thing I thought was weird was the music they were playing pretty loud. It is an Asian restaurant, serving seafood/ Chinese, and playing deep Hip Hop/ R&B tracks. Like huh?? It didn't match the ambiance at all. That part was kind of strange.. Good food tho!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 15, 2024Updated review
Prices increased $1 since last visit. They added salmon skin and this jalapeno sushi roll which both were yummy. Everything else seemed the same except there wasn't chicken feet but pig feet today. Service was good, I love how they don't waste food by making large portions of items but constantly have fresh, hot food coming out. The inside was well kept and neat.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 23, 2023Previous reviewIt's been years since I've been here and they have done some upgrades. Large variety of food: sushi, hibachi station, dessert, udon station, dim sum, and lots more. They have a great system down for not wasting food, they monitor the food dishes and when one gets low enough, they microphone in the order. When we got there, they were calling in orders left and right for how fast people were going through them. Spacious, clean, and the servers were attentive and friendly. Everyone left happy and full. This is a great buffet for selection and price. Majority of the items were good, a few were a miss, but I also didn't try everything. Loved the ice cream and grabbed a cotton candy on the way out.
Jan 3, 2017Previous reviewIf you are from North County, this is just like going to Luxe Buffet and Pan Asia. There is a lot of different choices that you can choose from. They have salad bar, dessert, hot foods, dim sum, udon noodles, brazilian bbq, and stir fry as well. It almost like a mix of Luxe and Pan Asia. Everything is very shiny and sparkly and there is a lot of lighting in the area. They also have a private area for reserved events. They have a nice selection of dim sum and hot food entrees. They have a really good selection of sushi if you ever need a sushi fix. They have your typical cheese wontons, egg rolls, noodles, and vegetable chinese dishes. I think what makes this better than the other ones is that they offer udon noodles and a good selection for brazilian bbq. besides that, its just another chinese buffet in san diego. We happened to be there when they transitioned into dinner time and saw that they offered snails, crab legs, and oysters and other entrees as well but i couldnt see what it was. Overall, you have to try this place at least once because while I was eating I got to watch Harry Potter, CNN, and the Mechanic with Jason Statham :D

This was my first time here. I had such a great experience with my friends. We really enjoyed the seafood and the Chinese food. The teppanyaki was a nice surprise too.
They had thrifty's ice cream! Which was great to see.
The waiter helped clear the table often and was very friendly. I'd come back here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 2024
I haven't been to a buffet since I was young, and it was so nostalgic and the food was great! This is the place to go if you love seafood, so many different options but my favorite station was the teppanyaki! They also have fun deserts like a chocolate fountain and s'mores. It was fun getting different types of food each round and I definitely left very full. The staff was very kind and quick with clearing plates! The place has lots and lots of seating, could be perfect for events.

I like this place a lot. I've been here a few times. Their crawfish and crab legs are always meaty and good. Service is good. They are pretty attentive. The music and tv that plays movies are good vibes.

Decent buffet for the price. I initially thought it was on the pricier side but I guess now with how inflation has got us all its actually not bad for all that you get. We went yesterday on a Wednesday night around 6-7pm so it wasn't packed but had people trickling in for dinner. The price for an adult dinner was $30. They do have kids pricing based on age and height. So just to give you an idea my son is pretty tall for an 11 y/o but he was under 50" so he was 1/2 the adult dinner price $15.
The buffet had a pretty good buffet of items. There were little portions inside the trays but they were continuously being filled. I prefer that anyway so the food's not sitting out too long and gets stale. They have disposable utensils. I really enjoyed their menu selection. They do have a hot grill to warm up any foods or for the noodle station grill.
Their bathrooms were clean. Their floors were not sticky. They have a wide assortment of dishes. Plenty of parking. Decently priced. Definitely satisfied my Chinese buffet cravings!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
