This place is not far from our condo so we thought we would give it a try.
Well we were walking in we were told by someone standing outside the three cheeseburgers were "to die for." So, that is what we ordered.
In retrospect as this is a seafood shop they really should have ordered one cheeseburger and one seafood dish but we were starving and cheeseburgers sounded quite good.
The place wasn't that busy but it was a rather long wait for the food. We had cheeseburgers and onion rings and I can't say they are "to die for" but they were big and juicy and homemade tasting.
The interior seem nice and clean and was decorated with bright fun beach colors and fish adorning the walls.
Since it's so close to our place I'm sure will end up here again, next time it will definitely be seafood.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarita P.Houston, TX01125May 7, 2016
I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some po'boys!
Family business, the daughter was working the cash register the mom was back in the kitchen. Strip mall was a little sketchy, but cute & clean inside the restaurant.
We came today 5/7/16 on a Saturday afternoon just after 1pm it was busy, we grabbed the last table. It took just over 45 mins to get our order, which is way too long for counter service (or really anything), but we had time so it wasn't a huge deal to us, but if you are pressed for time go somewhere else. My fiancé and I both got the fried shrimp poboys they were very good. The only thing I would say they could have used a touch more mayo. We also got the hush puppies and fries, these were fine, I am not a huge fan of crinkle cut fries in general so I'll just order chips next time.
We will definitely be back next time we are on the island. If this restaurant had been open for a year already, I'd give it 3 stars due to the wait time for our food, but since it's still new and I've worked in the restaurant industry and know how hard it can be to work a lunch rush I'll give them a 4 this time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Scott M.Springfield, MO071Feb 23, 2016
This is a good mom and pop sandwich shop that is an excellent place for lunch. You will need a long lunch though as they make everything after ordering and it takes a while. It took about ten minutes to get my blackened fish po boy and okra.
Now to the food. The blackened fish was excellent. The portion was large and filled with flavor. The okra was good but I have had better. The portion was also large. Drinks are in a fridge in cans or bottles.
Overall, I would return to get another po boy. But I would try another side. Had the okra been better I would have given this shop five stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jonesia M.League City, TX4894028Sep 24, 2016

This place was amazing, me and my husband had the fried fish po boy and the cheese burger with bacon with French fries of course.
The burger was soooo juicy and they hand ground it themselves.
The po boy had some much fish on it I could barley see the bread !!!!
AND !!!! The French fries were crispy on the outside but yet soft and delicious on the inside !!
This food was so good we are going today again for lunch l0l and the best part was the service. The lady that helped us one of the owners was spectacular, she made me feel right at home and was there anytime I needed anything. I would recommend this place to any body !!!! It's amazing !!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristie B.League City, TX55791568Jul 1, 2016
We were on our way to San Luis Pass to help my teenager with a dead battery, had not eaten all day and stopped to grab a QUICK burger to split- "to go." That's all we ordered, one cheeseburger - no fries, nothing complicated, right? Well, there were maybe 5 or 6 other patrons in the restaurant- not busy at all. I kid you not, it took 25 minutes for our burger! It took so long that I literally left to go sit in the vehicle and let my bf handle the situation. It seemed the kitchen had a difficult time multi-tasking with the ticket orders- common sense, to me, would be: "ok, we have 5 different burger orders, drop 5 burgers on the grill." Nope, they were cooking each burger INDIVIDUALLY- plus trying to prep seafood meals. There was no method to the madness.
So, about the burger- when my bf brought our single cheeseburger to the vehicle and unwrapped it, my immediate response was, "THAT'S IT?! We waited 25 minutes for that thing?" This burger was tiny and we split it- it was literally gone in 5 bites, maybe less- that's how small it was... Seriously disappointed since this place had rave reviews. The burger had a good flavor but that's not enough to make me stop here again.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 25, 2016
Great first time here! Wonderful fried shrimp poboys and catfish poboys. Also tried the small pizza for the kids which they enjoyed. Fried okra was also good. They close early, at 8 pm because the only workers are the husband and wife team that own it. Everything is fresh and cooked to order when you order it. No heat lamps here! Great little gem in Galveston!

Decided to try this place out when I noticed it driving by the other day. It's on the west end in Campeche cove, so not on the tourists radar at all. Very clean, modestly decorated. Just saw a couple of people working there, so very much a mom and pop shop. Wait for my fried shrimp PO-boy was about 10 minutes, but well worth it, and I didn't think was long at all. The shrimp were not over-battered and you could tell they were fresh. The bread was soft and the veggies fresh. Prices are very good. Definitely going to be going back.

Such a great find on the island! The restaurant has only been open for a few months and it's a terrific place to grab a bite. Everything is made fresh and it's worth the wait. There are a variety of things to order. We ordered a fried shrimp po-boy, crab cakes and a pepperoni pizza. All so good and we were thrilled to find such a wonderful place!

After reading the great reviews I headed here to cure my craving for a shrimp po boy. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Just meh. The fried okra was good though! Prices are really good! It takes a while to get your food. A girl came in for take out and was told it would be 15 min. She ordered one sandwich! I would suggest calling in your order so you don't have to wait.
