I'm a 77yr disabled veteran and my a/c went out over the weekend and i called this company on monday and she said she would have a tech here on tues at 3pm - he arrived on time and went out and checked the unit - he said i needed a capacitor and he thought he had one on the truck - he came back in 5 min later and put it on and turned the unit back on and checked the temp of the vents and it was working great - he was finished in about 45 mins- he came back with a bill of 394.00 - i told him it was mighty high but he said that was the cost of the part - i have checked all over town and the capacitor he listed is from 18.50 thru 68.50 -- i called both offices to complain but got no help from the guy name Jeff at the 816-431-4098-
the part as listed on the bill was a allied -Armstrong dual capacitor -# cf-002-021870-0032- and the cost was listed as 299.00-all capacitor - i also called the local Grainger and they said the 18.00- 68.00- these people are rip off companyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Sir, We are sorry that you are unsatified with our cost for services preformed. If you had asked our technician about any ways to save we could have gone through some of our options available to you (senior/veteran) before finishing our invoicing process. The "cost" of the part not only covers the part cost, but the work that our technician does to get you comfortable in your home. You did state that it has prefomed great since our repairs were made and we did get your system up and running the same day we arrived without any other problems. If you would like to try to remedy this we are available. Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that you felt like we were harassing you. Justin indicated from his last phone call with you that you were getting more bids from other companies. He followed up with you this morning and left you a voicemail about following up on the last conversation that you were getting other bids.
Regarding the pricing, we apologize if our estimate did not meet your expectations. We continually review and adjust our pricing to remain competitive in the market, and we will take your feedback into consideration as we do so.
Please contact us and we will do all we can to resolve the situation. Thank you for taking the time to bring this issue to our attention.
Sincerely, Greg Schomburg owner - Patricia O.SoMa, San Francisco, CA09Oct 6, 2023
I called this business because I was looking for a plumber, which is what I told the guy who answered the phone. He then asked what I needed done. I told him, and he said they didn't do plumbing. A helpful customer service suggestion here is to maybe not have plumbing on your website if you
do not, in fact, do plumbing. The guy who answered the phone was really nice, though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Do NOT go with this contractor!! Knew I should have went with Bob's. This contractor will take advantage of the situation. Their labor rate is outragous. Charged me at least $250 in labor for a 10 minute job. Had them over to find the problem of our air not blowing cold. I was told it was the outside dual capacitator that needed to be replaced. I was told it would be a 10 minute job, turned out to take them about 1.5 hours. They stood outside for over 30 minutes with a water hose to "cool" down the unit that had not been running for more than 10 minutes. I had shut the air off when we realised it was not working and stayed with her parents for the night before. They showed up around 4:15 pm the next day. My wife had to get my father-in-law over for them to finally finish their work. She was inside and told me they were staying until after 5pm to collect OT. My bill was a total of $440.91, with a service fee of $95, and charge of $345.91 to replace the part. I called their office and was told that the part, taxes, and labor was in this $345.91 total. The part is around $12 and taxes couldn't have been over $50. Apparently labor is $200 as I could not get a straight answer for their labor rate. Again, do not do business with them unless you want to be hustled.

I was charged $431.76 to have 2lbs of R-22 Freon added to my A.C. unit outside. That is it. $91.00 was for diagnostic and travel fee. I can understand that charge. Most companies charge a fee to come to your home. I emailed to have a breakdown of the other charge ($340.76),Their hourly rate, the cost of the R-22 Freon per lb, and when did the hourly rate start. I was told that $340.76 is their flat fee rate for charging A.C. unit. I replied to that email and asked if I can have a breakdown of the flat fee rate. I received a call from the service tech trying to explain their flat rate pricing. He said they can't give me a breakdown because of tax reasons. He did say they charge about $100 a lb for R-22 Freon. So, going off of that $91+$200(2 lbs of Freon)= $291. That means I was charged $140.76 for labor and taxes I guessing because I have no breakdown of flat rate price. That is very high for this service. Lesson learned. Heads up you will pay a lot for this company services.
