Saratoga Country Club

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty experience. Saratoga Country Club is located on top of a windy hill on a tight two-lane road. Street lighting is non-existent at night so definitely bring a compact car with automatic high-beams!

Parking was plentiful at the country club. Dined in the private room where it was secluded with a couple private doors for entry. Service by the country club staff were all wearing a mask covering their mouth and nose, in uniform and name tag.

Meal started off with some warm bread and butter which was decent.

Had the lamb chops as the main course and it was tasty. Lamb chops were extremely flavorful and were cooked to a medium rare as requested. The vegetable medley collection complemented the lamb chops nicely as some were steamed while other pieces were lightly tempura-fried.

Service throughout the meal was attentive.

We've been a member for almost 20 years. The place is certainly a hidden gem. A lovely place for private events, including weddings, birthdays, and office retreats. We did our daughter's birthday there when she was very young. I organized a quick golf lesson by a pro and had the children hit some golf balls at the driving range, and had fun at the pool after. The chicken tenders was their fave menu item.

The only draw back after being a member for that long, I got bored of the menus. I wish the chef changes the menus more often, and be more creative. The members have to eat there anyway to spend our monthly dues, so why dont have fun creating monthly specials, farm-to-tables, etc?

Staff is always excellent! They have been there forever too, so we see familiar faces when we go there.

I came here for a private venue - a wedding! Beautiful country club over- looking Saratoga and surrounding area. It was a nice place, and I am so thankful that the weather was nice and sunny.

This is a stunning venue near Fremont Older. The drive in is windy and can be torturous on the way out especially after having 1-2 drinks. However, the view is spectacular. We attended a large event and it was run flawlessly. The graduation ceremony was seamlessly incorporated into the 3 course dinner. I loved the themed drinks and that it was an open bar. If I have a large event, I would certainly consider hosting here.

Okay, so before reading, you gotta have to put aside any cliché notions that words 'country club' evoke in your mind -

We are being resourceful and convenience was also a factor - this is Silicon Valley's high tech hub. "Business or Pleasure"? Both!

Perhaps you're imagining pleasant relaxing day at the clubhouse, with a nice cold beverage in hand..

Laughing again, why does everyone think of a country club as Cocktails+Golf+Relaxing.. none of the above!

Simply moved our work meeting from office to clubhouse since we didn't get to go out anywhere over the past 17 months!

This is where we had our last Christmas holiday party before Covid madness took over the world. Perhaps I should do a separate review on our holiday party, that was fun!

Saratoga Country Club is an amazing venue for your corporate event, holiday celebration, company meetings, conferences, or private parties. They do fundraising, non profit, social events, weddings, birthdays, and all sorts of ceremonies. Our founders are members and therefore it's an easy choice for schmoozing big shots and investors alike.

Today's was internal and very informal meeting, with lunch and refreshments. Pretty good! Cheers.

Saratoga Country Club, Saratoga CA Thur 7/22/21

The club grounds are very attractive, and the dining rooms have sweeping views. However the food and ambience are more like those of family restaurants than of country clubs. Unsupervised children and loud bar patrons can make it difficult to carry on civilized conversations, and management seems indifferent: "it's just members having fun".

Amazing club, family oriented, tucked in the hills, great group of members. Highly recommend!

I would give zero stars if I could do to them not being prepared for a power outage in the area and costing us thousands of dollars . Not to mention the emotional damage they cause our sweet 16 they played the part that they felt for us but still had us pay half which did not include the vendors and the time it was cut short. I hate this place they have no soul speaking to Diana M. Was horrible she sounded like a soulless robot with an agenda after she knew our experience . Do not risk having an event here !

We had an event cancel at another country club in the area do to their power being out, from a nasty storm. Sheri at Saratoga Country Club was quick to the draw and accepted the group to the club with less than 24 hour notice. I am an Audio Visual vendor. My client said this event must go on, so I took a quick drive from Redwood City to to the Saratoga Country Club, and met with Sheri. I told her our needs and spoke with Francisco the Baquet Clapton, had them remove the street lights in the room, so they would not be in our video shots. From this conversation and our request to move in at 6am, everything went like clockwork. Fernando was there at 5:40am(I like to be early!) to Great us and let us into the club for our setup, of a lot of AV gear. Since we were going to be there so early I requested breakfast. They said they could do breakfast burritos. Well the Cook Noi and the Chef, Billie make the best breakfast burrito I have ever tasted. Get this, a flour tortilla, 2 fried eggs, pico de Gallo, chopped bacon, sweet potato fry's, and American or cheddar cheese, your choice. Wow is all I can say...Amazing. Saratoga Country Club, has a spotless kitchen, and a world class staff. They pay attention to detail, and made us feel welcomed.
