Horrible service, horrible experience, please don't waste your money here. People here don't listen to their customers, they are not professionals, feel bad for them, their business going down hill

Horrible customer service! It's close to my house so I drove by it and walked in. I asked the stylist to trim my hair and explained that I was growing it out and she cut over six inches off! I have curly hair and even walked in with it straight and asked her to dry cut it just so she wouldn't make that mistake. I got in my car and cried. Never ever again and I wish I had seen reviews of this place before going. Clearly it needs to be shut down.

Got a groupon for cut and highlights. ended up also doing my roots for an additional 65 bucks...double or triple booked and took me late. color turned out well. cut was blah. definitely ask when she offers to do extra how much extra will cost...or just find another salon.

Was not a fan of how my Brazilian Blowout turned out. It has left my hair really flat and oily after only 1.5 days (almost 2 months later).
I've received the Brazilian blowout before and it has never had this effect. I'm not sure if it's the products they use or the stylist (Kim) and how she performed the blowout but it didn't come out as expected.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Serena, The management Team here at Sandy's Hair Studio Sincerely apologizes for this. Everyone in the Salon is Brazilian Blowout certified, I can guarantee you it was not the stylist or product. The only thing that comes to mind is the after care. Depending on the products that you bought it might of been too heavy for your hair. You also mentioned you had previously had it done, depending on the amount of time in between services the product may have built up as well. Once again im very sorry that you were not satisfied with the service. We do hope to see you again in our salon, I know Kim is an amazing stylist and will continue to take amazing care of you.
Thank you for your Review.Jun 11, 2014Previous reviewI decided to visit here after purchasing a Living Social and was pleasantly surprised. Though, the hostesses and other hair dressers seemed stupidly bored, my hair dresser KIM was excellent. She has a warm, bubbly personality and really, REALLY knows a lot about hair. Thick hair, thin hair, fine hair, short hair, long hair, SHE KNOWS how to style it to suit your face.
I went here for a Brazilian Blowout and haircut and my hair turned out amazing.
Not sure how long it will last, but KIM was GREAT! - Kashia B.Houston, TX2174Sep 4, 2015
I've read some of the reviews below and I just want to say my experience at Sandy's has always been great. Been seeing Gabriel for several years now and he does an awesome job. Sandy is the owner and has been a stylist for over 20 years. She definitely knows what she is doing and I would never doubt her when it comes to hair. As for the other stylists I never had any services done by them, but I don't think they even work there anymore. I've had a microdermabrasion recently and loved it! This is a great place and the prices are affordable. I would highly recommended going to Sandy's Hair Studio.

Haven't seen my moms hair cut or color but I bought her a groupon for Christmas for a single color, cut and style which she stated up front when she made the apt AND before they started. They did not listen to her and did hi AND low lights and charged her $50 extra dollars after I paid $55 for the groupon itself. I am furious! I spoke and heard so highly of this salon but because of this experience I will not return, and will not recommend.

Don't waste your money and go somewhere they stand behind their services. I had a Brazilian Blowout done last year and really loved it so I returned. The girl who did it before was no longer working there so I had another provider. I noticed after I washed my hair the first time that my hair was still frizzy and not smooth like it had been in the past. This was my 6th Brazilian Blowout so I know how my hair is suppose to respond. Thinking it was something I might have done I did not call the salon and washed a few more times over a week and a half. I finally got a chance to call the salon less than 2 weeks after my Brazilian and asked to speak to Sandy, who is the owner of the salon. I was told she was not there and she would call me back but she never did. A few days later I decided to stop by the salon to see her in person so she could look at my hair. Well she never spoke to me but I did show the young lady who did my hair and she agreed it did not look like it took the product correctly and she could see what I was talking about. She then told me to wait and let Sandy look at my hair and talk to her about it. Well Sandy never talked to me and told me via the young lady that she could only do something had it been within a week. Really???? For a procedure that is suppose to last up to 3 months you are only going to guarantee it for a week. She offered to do it again and charge me another $159. Considering I had already spend more than I planned because they charged me extra for my hair length and also charged my an additional $50 to cover a few grays at my temple and all this was a surprise because there was never any mention of any additional fees before they started my hair. I would never recommend this salon. Listen to the reviews!!!! Buyer beware!!

I called at 10 am hoping to get an appointment for threading and waxing. On the way there, we called asking for three hair cuts and a color correction for my teenaged daughter. The stylist is so awesome, she had my daughter text her pictures of her hair. I believe her name is Kim. My daughter's hair is beautifully done and looks natural. Mike cut my hair, as always, and did an incredible job. He respects the fact that we only take length if necessary and NEVER pressures me to cut it shorter. The owner was not there, but the salon ran smoothly. Ritu is the only esthetician I know that does not make our skin break out after waxing or threading. Don't be put off by the receptionists, the girl today was young and could be mentored to be more efficient and customer service oriented. I love how clean the salon is. I recommend Sandy's to anyone. The fact that my teenaged son will go is quite an compliment. We'll worth the money spent.

I tried this salon a few times. I wanted to give the hairdresser a few times before I gave up. Sandy is very nice but I feel she does not really listen to her customer and seems to do as she feels is right for your color and not what you feel is right. She is always in a hurry and I feel rushed there. Mike has no idea what he is doing. I tried him twice and both times my hair looked terrible! I was soooo upset last time I left as he kept asking me if my hair had ever looked that frizzy before. My hair was hard, brittle an terribly frizzy when I left. He asked me 3 times loudly if my hair was always frizzy. I was so embarrassed. I kept looking to see if Mike even had a license. He is the owner. No my hair is so paper straight and never frizzy but when I left it was in terrible shape. I knew it was time to go elsewhere. I have just moved to Cypress and it is hard to find a new hairdresser. I would go elsewhere.

I have never written a review for yelp before, but wanted to share my experience for anyone researching this business.
I read the other negative review and thought, gosh it can't be that bad, and decided to give it a try. Kim was my stylist. Definitely the worst haircut I've had in a long time. She didn't do what I asked (for example I specifically asked several times for my bangs to not be in my eyes, I wanted them shorter... when I got home my bangs were beyond my bottom lashes). The cut on right side is about 1/2 inch or more longer than the cut on my left. It is so chopped up that it doesn't hold it's shape for more than 30 minutes after styling. Just a bad, bad hair cut all the way around and it was just as expensive as the better salon that I was too lazy to drive all the way to (learned my lesson!). Additionally, all she did was talk about offering wraps for weight loss and trying to sell me on it. And she flattered me a lot. Not sincere compliments but flattery while trying to convince me to buy other services. She hasn't been with the salon a long time, and when I asked where she worked before she said all kinds of places like Fantastic Sams. She is not well trained nor is she dedicated to be a true stylst. She is just cutting hair until she makes it big in her other side business. I could not wait to get out of there. I can't speak for the other stylists, but I definitely won't be going back to Kim. She belongs in a Fantastic Sams type place, not a place that is trying to be moderatly upscale.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
