So much stuff, Grab a wagon and have fun!
If you find yourself lost, ask a helpful worker, who are generally helping everyone else, but its ok.
If it grows in the ground, has roots, or anything to do with plant life, this is the spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 11, 2024
Love the place. The space is filled with beautiful flowers and trees. Their bonsai garden feels like I'm at the Huntington. Everyone is friendly, and their selection is quite massive. Our bamboos and succulents from San Gabriel Nursery are doing extremely well, and we go back there for more whenever we need more plants. We always leave the place happy.
They offer 10% discount if you are a Huntington Library member.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 2, 2024
AMAZING florist and nursery located in the heart of San Gabriel!!!
The customer service here is excellent! Everyone is super friendly and helpful! The selection here is what blows me away- from fruit trees to roses to bonsai- there is so much variety and quality items here to peruse and purchase!
They are also a florist that can accommodate any of your needs for arrangements and/or bouquets. There is so much to look at and see inside- different distances, seeds and also history about the business itself to read about (which is really, really interesting)!
If you're looking for a quality fruit tree or orchid food or a floral arraignment, make the trip out of San Gabriel Nursery and Florist- you won't be disappointed!Helpful 6Thanks 2Love this 5Oh no 0 - 268560830Aug 31, 2023
Been coming to this place for over 30 years. As a kid, I hated it and couldn't understand why my mother would spend so much time here. Now that I am all grown up and have kids of my own. My daughter (19yo) and I drove here from Las Vegas to look for some plants to add to our collection.
This place was exactly how I remembered, only much better(now that I appreciate the beauty of plants.) My daughter and I spent almost 2 hours, scouring every nook and cranny, taking in all the flowers. shrubbery, trees, succulents and foliage. How I wish Las Vegas has a place like this with such a great variety!
Service was great, the pricing was amazing and the scenery is just breadth taking.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kirstin D.Cambrian Community, San Jose, CA092Apr 12, 2024
Got help from Hailey during my visit. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and answered all of my questions. The location is massive with any plants that you could ever want from flowers, succulents, tropicals, and plant care. The plants can be a little pricey (compared to HomeDepot or another plant distributor), but the quality is top tier and the plants are very well cared for. Would recommend!

GREAT PLACE TO BUY SOME DROUGHT TOLERANT PLANTS
================================================
My husband and I needed to plant some drought tolerant plants after removing the turf in our front yard, so I bought a bunch of plants at San Gabriel Nursery as follows:
Santa Barbara Salvia - These are $8.98 a piece for a gallon which includes a 10% discount for being a Descanso Gardens member. These are great because they don't get as big as Mexican sage plants. We designed a dry riverbed, so we didn't want to overshadow the riverbed by too many huge plants.
Leucospernum Blanche Ito - Got a five gallon plant for $59.98 before discount. These are African drought tolerant and they can grow from three to six feet.
Margarita Penstemon - $10.99 per one gallon before discount.
MISC. INFO:
1. Don't forget to mention you're a member of a local botanical garden like the Arboretum or Descanso Gardens because you'll miss out on a 10% discount.
2. The staff will wrap each plant perfectly, so you don't have to worry about getting soil all over your car.
3. If they run out of a plant you like you can be placed on a waitlist. The minute it comes in they will call you.
San Gabriel Nursery and Florist is probably my favorite right now.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - 5122419May 4, 2023
:: Nursery ::
Clean and spacious nursery with plenty of flower and plant options. San Gabriel Nursery & Florist is your one-stop shop for your plant needs, they sell soil, plant food, decors for your garden, and much more. They also have a gift shop, where you can order bouquets of flowers for a special occasion (birthdays, graduation, etc).
They have a lot of fruit plant variety as well. They have more blueberry options than Home Depot, for example.
:: Service ::
The employees there are nice.
:: Parking ::
They have their own private lot and it's usually almost full when I go, but there's also plenty of street parking on the perimeter.
:: Tip ::
They give you a coupon to use for your next visit if you spend more than $10.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1724522185Apr 12, 2023
Huge selection of plants! Home plants, outside plants, flowers, bonzai trees, fruit trees, you name it and they probably have it!
Parking was pretty easy to find on the little street to the left of the building.
Pricing here is reasonable and so many unique plants!
I always browse while my husband is the green-thumb. I have to say, it is pretty fun walking through and looking at all the different selections.
We picked out an albino looking unique cactus for my mom for mother's day.
It was fun shopping here and heck, they even have their own little zen pond.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 12, 2023

This nursery has everything! I love how everything I buy here is nicely set and organized, and well-take care of. The people are super genuine and helpful here too. Here you can find trees, flower, soil, states, indoor and outdoor plants of all kinds. It's meant to be a one-stop place. The only think they don't have is citrus trees.
I personally like buying their vegetable starters that come with a small 6 pack of young plants for $5 total. It's almost guarantee they will grow big with care. I recently got japanese eggplant, white corn and cucumbers. I like going inside the building and buy their seeds, specifically morning glory flowers, snap and snow peas, and romaine lettuce. I usually also buy tomatoes, blueberrie bushes and assortment of flowers.
This place has limited parking, but I always find parking on weekdays. They also give you coupons upon buying a certain amount, so it makes you want to come back, which I don't mind because it is one if my favorite nurseries. I always bring my mom on this date and my garden friends!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dec 16, 2022Updated review9 check-ins
Since the pandemic, like most folks, I started collecting some plant babies. I also started gardening. And San Gabriel Nursery has been my go-to to get my plant babies and my vegetables.
For the summer, I usually get a variety of tomatoes, Japanese eggplant, shishito peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, jalapeños, Serrano peppers and bell peppers. For the winter, I get spinach, mizuna, Japanese mustard greens and lettuce. They have a large variety of vegetables for you to choose from.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jul 14, 2017Previous reviewit's your one spot place for anything gardening. They have such a variety of plants and flowers. We have purchased plants and floral arrangements from them. The florist is inside and they are so helpful. They have bouquets already made and you can also custom make a bouquet. The nursery is huge and has a variety of plants. So if you are looking to start a garden, you can come get your starter plants from them. If you want to plant some trees, they have them too. The staff is very helpful.
It's a local business with history. I like to support the smaller businesses. Especially when they also are very helpful and kind. They also give you coupons for every $10 you spend you get $1 off on your next purchase. And they don't expire.
