San Francisco Christian School

SFCS is a true blessing for our family. My son is learning about family values that are Biblical. They are a Jesus Christ centered school but also strong in academics. Teachers and administration are pleasant to interact with and I feel that my child is safe and secure at school. I trust the school and appreciate their response to COVID. For as long as we are in San Francisco, my sons will be here at SFCS.

I will have to disagree with the first review. Perhaps things got better and I'm happy for it :)

My son has been going here since K-4, now he's in 3rd grade. I've always wanted a christian education for my kids like I had. This school was top of my list for that plus it is very close to where we live.

My son really loves his teahers and classmates. I can't believe how much homework he gets do even when we was only in kindergarten. They really focus on academics, social skills and talent enhancement. I'm proud to say my son is one of the smartest in class. All A's and was top 1 in his second grade class. I'm sure the school has a big contribution to all his achievements.

Nice caring teachers, a lot of activities with parent involvement. For a private school, it's really on the affordable side.

Also, they have a website where I see everything that's going on and my son's grades and daily activity. It's very interactive, I can send notes to teachers and parents anytime.

My daughter will be starting school soon and she will be coming here.

I love this school. If you are a true believer of Jesus Christ, this is a great school for your child to not only receive outstanding academic teaching, but Christ centered teachings too. Teachers biblically apply Christ in each subject. There definitely could be more extra curricular activities, however SFCS continue to work on the programs they have and are very well staffed. It's a diverse school which gives the children opportunity to befriend children from all over the Bay Area and with it being in the Mission District of SF, location and diversity allows children to be understanding of their surroundings and other cultures. Children are very respectful and seem to be extremely happy attending this school.

My Daughter attend Sf Christian school 7th grade. My family and I couldn't be happier we are so blessed to be a part of this community my daughter has become more confident, receiving an awesome education in academics ,music ,sports, bible, getting a closer relationship with the Lord all the staff here is wonderful. You receive updates about your child. I know and believe we made the right choice. Be blessed

I went to this school since K-4 up until I graduated and I loved every minute of it. As the years went by the school started changing. It wasn't as strict as it once was. Gave the students a chance to be themselves and not just sitting in a classroom. In my experience with the teachers and my advisor, I'd say I was pretty well equipped for life. High school isn't supposed to really teach you about life more so your home but i guess. Academically speaking, they challenge you in so many different ways. I wouldn't trade my experience at SFC for anything. I came out of that school with a high school diploma and with an extended family that I will always have.

I recommend this school more for elementary and middle school but I'd still recommend it for high school.

I am writing this review because the other SFCS reviews are old, and do not reflect SFCS as it is currently. I feel blessed that my daughters are able to attend SFCS! Each of their teachers have been wonderful! SFCS places strong emphasis on academic excellence, but also on helping students develop a biblical worldview. San Francisco is a world-class city, and provides many unique and amazing opportunities. However, sometimes it's hard to feel connected to your community. SFCS does a great job of providing a sense of family and genuine caring for their students and their students' families. Each of the teachers I have interacted with go above and beyond what you would expect from a teacher, and they do it gladly. I also appreciate how SFCS has spent a lot of time and energy to improve the quality of their programs. My kids love the new art, Spanish, and music programs SFCS has implemented into the elementary. I appreciate the increase in the security on the school & church property, as well as the technology they have put into the classrooms. My children are only in elementary school, but my desire is that they will one day be able to graduate from SFCS. I'm excited to see what the future holds in store!

I have a daughter who has gone through kindergarten and is now in the first grade. It is everything a parent and child could dream of. From day one, the staff and teachers have been very friendly, helpful and supportive. The class sizes are small and ensure that each child gets personalized attention. You could tell the teachers are sincere, that they enjoy what they do, and most importantly that they love their students and want the best for them.

The children receive a wonderful Christian education. It is not only taught, but lived out and demonstrated by the staff and teachers. The academics challenge my child to live up to her potential. My daughter loves the staff, teachers and her classmates. She enjoys going to school. I have found it to be a community of parents who want the best for their children and are supportive of each other.

I would highly recommend this school to parents who want a safe, loving environment for their child to learn and grow in. It is difficult when you first have to let go and send your child off to school, but with San Francisco Christian School, I trust them with my child's life! Peace of mind is priceless.

Went to this school. Very small. If you are just focused on academics I recommend! I left after 8 th grade to continue at a larger Catholic school, & tested very high for the entrance exam. This school gave me great education & wisdom at that.

As for religious purposes. If you want your child in a safe, strict, and Godly school this is perfect. You wont hear kids cussing or anything.

I'll try not to make this a personal agenda. I went to High School here, I had a few good teachers through it all, but the majority didn't really teach me anything, I don't feel this school really prepared people for real world situations, instead a lot of bigotry and hatred was taught. Which I guess is expected I guess. The school is pretty set in its ways, very closed minded and very unreasonable to compromise. I was accused falsely of many things after I had graduated which in retrospect are quite comical. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

SFCS is filled with wonderful people and is a school that can provide immense value to any student. The teachers and staff care about the students and offer them life lessons along with the curriculum. I feel very blessed to have attended the high school. I'm currently on track to graduate from The University of Texas - Austin and I owe that to this school. SFCS provided me with an environment where I could be creative and express myself. I'm very grateful for the time I spent there and the people I met.
