Best deli food in Sacramento -all fresh homemade. Very nice helpful staff. Lots of great food, sandwiches and pasta.

If you're looking for a solid Italian sandwich spot in town, this spot is on the list. Came through recently since we were in the area, and I forgot how good these sandwiches are. They have a large menu so everyone should find something they like and the staff was nice and helpful. You can buy everything here from entrees to meats and bread to take home with you as well. The space has an old Italian deli feel with enough space to sit down to eat. They do have a working piano in there, so you might get some entertainment as well.

One of the most popular sandwiches is the sampanini, mortadella, salami, cheddar, and provolone with all the fixings on a ciabatta roll make this a classic. The meatball and chicken parm are also a hit as every other person was getting one of these. They also give you a little side salad with each sandwich, which is a great touch.

My favorite is the hot pastrami. This had swiss and jack cheese and all the fixings like most of their sandwiches, but the best part of this one is the pancetta. It was slightly crispy, so it added flavor and texture. Definitely would get it again, and with so many options, you can have a new favorite every time you come here. I recommend the unique kettle chips they sell here as they are not everywhere, and there is an everything flavor that was pretty good. I will definitely be back next time I need a solid Italian sando!

This place is really cute. I ordered the meatball sandwich. It was seasoned very well and had great flavor.
I also ordered a pistachio cannoli, it was just okay, definitely had better. It didn't taste fresh, so I didn't finish it.
The staff was pleasant I would love to return and try some other items.

I visited Sampino's Towne Foods on Friday, 11/10/23, during lunchtime.

I decided to order two deviled eggs, an Eggplant Parmigiana, and a Sampanini sandwich. I was also given a side salad with Italian dressing. I liked the deviled eggs the most. The sandwich was decently good. The Eggplant Parmigiana was tolerable in taste. I had higher expectations for the food. However, the sandwich and Eggplant Parmigiana didn't hit the mark 100%. All in all, I wasn't disappointed but wasn't fully satisfied either.

I'd come back to Sampino Towne Foods to try more of the food items on the menu. I've read a lot of good reviews about the Meatball sandwich, so I will order that the next time.

The sandwiches were made pretty quick. They were huge. The service. Everybody there is super friendly. The environment is really clean. I enjoy being able to sit at the table for lunch. Cute little environments, although outside looks a little rough.

Great variety of food people are nice and service is good long time in business very popular in Sacramento. Great place for lunch or to take home for a party picnic or just at home

I don't go to delis but this spot catered our resident mixer. They sure do know how to put out a spread of food. It's mostly meat and cheese so, due to my lack of gourmet tastebuds, I can't really appreciate if it was good or horrible. It just tasted like deli cuts. A good variety but nonetheless I have no discretion for that kind of food. They also had dolmas, pickled veggies, and two kinds of pasta salad, all of which were pretty tasty. They have a great selection and like I said their presentation was wonderful. Would I go out of my way to come to a deli ever? No. But it was free food and it tasted pretty good, and I didn't have dinner so it tasted even better.

This place is a deli and a restaurant where you can get cheeses, pasta salsa, desserts, and some prepared meats or sandwiches. The staff working behind the counter are very friendly.

Sampino's has been on my list for a long time, I'm a huge fan of Italian sandwiches and I kept hearing that they're awesome here.

I walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They let me browse the menu at my own pace before ordering. There's a sandwich and salad menu as well as some prepared desserts and foods, as well as items you can cook at home like sausages and fresh pasta.

I ordered the Sampanini ($13.50) as well as one of each cannoli ($6.99 each- classic, pistachio and orange zest), a risotto ball ($2.99), two Italian sausages ($8.99/lb) and a chocolate chip cookie ($2.50).

The sandwich came with a side salad and the staff offered to warm up the risotto ball if we wanted to enjoy it right away. I also lucked out and go the chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven.

So far I've enjoyed the sandwich- so tasty! It's not super stacked with ingredients, but all of the ingredients on it are high quality and flavorful. The flavor combination is awesome for the Sampanini: (mortadella cappacolla, salami, provolone, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli and Italian dressing on ciabatta. I was surprised and delighted that it came with a salad and the dressing was great.

We had the cannolis with friends and the outside was fresh and crispy and the filling was so tasty.

They have indoor and outdoor seating if you're looking to enjoy your food right away and it's really cute inside. We'll definitely be back for more sandwiches and to try more of their items- I hear the meatball sub is great!

I picked up a tuna sandwich from here for lunch today. Boy was it delicious. It came with a salad as well that I'll have later with dinner. It was extra for cheese, but that is to be expected. I saw eggplant Parmesan in the case. So I'll be back for that.
