Salon Jada Raine

I am glad I took my son here, it was 3 days before my son's Junior prom and as busy as life is for me, I didn't have a chance to take him sooner. This salon is by appointment only. When I called, I left a message and received a return phone call right away. My son's appointment was set and confirmed. I didn't know who the stylist would be and would find out on the day of appointment. My son had his hair cut (30.00) , mustache trimmed (15.00) and eye brows waxed (15.00). The total for this service was 60.00 + tax. I wanted my son to look his best for his Junior Prom. He received the full service treatment including a hair wash & style. Usually he would just get only a hair cut when I take him to our usual place but this was special. Mindy was his sylist and she did a great job.

ABOUT SALON JADA RAINE: As I was waiting for my son I had a chance to talk to the owner. Tess is the owner, this is her salon. Tess' husband who is a contractor, put the shop together. There are 5 different stylist including Tess. The salon is named after her 2 grand daughter's Jada and Raine. The salon is a cute size, clean, and very welcoming. Tess is super friendly.

LOCATION: Salon Jada Raine is located on 2111 S Beretania St. Suite 104, S. Beretania is on a one way street, the business will be on your left. Parking is located in the back of building. The parking lot is shared with other business.

Overall, My son had a great experience, We all loved his new look. Will I be back again? Yes., this time I would like to send my other half.

I had a patchy bleach job and was so insecure that I had my hair up forever. I got my hair done by Jenn Tsai and she is amazing!!! She handled my hair very carefully and walked me through all the steps and options that we could do. She is very nice and easy to talk to. I highly recommend you to check her out if you want to get your hair done. I can now wear my hair down confidently (:

I have been going to Salon JadaRaine for 8 plus years, my stylist Tess is consist, delightful, and professional. She is taking the necessary Procedures to keep customers and stylists safe during these uncertain times. They are by appointment only & parking is located behind the building. You have to enter on Young Street, and turn into Kemole Street (because it's a one way street). I have never had anything other than a wonderful experience. Thank you Tess :) keep up the great work! And thank you for keeping us safe by doing temperatures checks, and making sure all customers wash their hands!

I've been seeing Jenn for over 10 years. When I first met her, she saved my hair from a bad cut. I wouldn't see anyone else! I've had many different styles with Jenn. She helped me explore different cuts and colors and they've always looked amazing! A couple great things about her skill set that I wasn't able to find in other therapists is that she's able to thin out my hair without it looking weird and her cuts always grow out well so if I can't see her for a while, it still looks good. She's super friendly and always makes me feel at home in her chair. I look always forward to talking story with her while she works. I'd highly recommend Jenn!

Mimiko was amazing, took her time (5 hours to be exact) to make sure my Japanese straightening was perfect. It was my first time so I was nervous on how it was going to turn out, but I left happily satisfied with her work.

The shop is a little hard to find if you're looking for their parking lot as someone put a "Guacamole" sticker over the street sign, so hopefully that gets removed soon. The shop itself is very clean & workers are nice and professional.

It's by appointment only, so take the time to make one! Will definitely be back!

I always go to Jenn Tsai here. She does a great job and the salon is super nice. Definitely recommend Jenn if you're looking for a great stylist.

I came here with a groupon and you know how sometimes it's obvious why there's a groupon. This is one of those places.

Wish I could give 0 stars because I'm left with horribly styled "ombré" I've been dealing with the past 4-5 months (delayed this review) and will have to spend even more money to fix it. It's truly a nightmare as you can see the lines in the "ombré". My hair is just half and half. Additionally, she charged me extra for toner (which should be included in a hair appointment) and had one of her family members wash my hair (very unprofessional, as she also used rubber gloves).

Do not come here, I seriously think she gets lucky when working with hair. I wish I had listened to the bad reviews before I came.

Mimiko does the best straight perm ever! First time with her but my third straight perm ...she's the best hands down.

Very bad customer service. The owner, Tess, denied that she had an appointment with me, which she suggested and confirmed a week prior. She said that maybe I talked to someone else, but I know I had talked to her because of her distinct accent. And, if I talked to someone else, then someone else would have been there for my appointment!
I wasted over an hour driving back and forth to their inconvenient location on Beretania St. No parking except for busy street parking. The Groupon that she offers is a waste of time and money. And at more inconvenience to me, I have to call Groupon to request a refund. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this place and will never go back. So disappointed, that I made the effort to make my first ever yelp review with this location.
