Worst burrito I've ever gotten before. The best part about it was the tortilla because they didn't make it. The food it's ale was very flavorless and the hot salsa wasn't hot at all. Everything was super watered down that my burrito had a pool below it before I say down that only got worse. The only thin you could taste in it was the beans and the tortilla.
Not worth $7. Never going back

The pool of water just got bigger as I was eating. Food was so watered down and flavorless. Couldn't finish it it was that bad

Salena Mexicana is not only the most edible food in Westlake Mall, but also the cheapest.

The viggie viggie is a huuuge vegetarian taco salad only $4.50, or a ton of vegetarian nachos is also only $4.50. The food is quick to receive and they rarely mess up your order as you tell them what you want as they make it. The beans and rice are pretty good and also lard free. I'm also a fan of their pico de gallo, and their red salsa isn't bad.

The one problem, however, is that I frequently get overcharged. The last two times I went, I was charged for beef taco salads, which is about $1 more than the vegetarian taco salad.

It's just a food court in Seattle's Westlake Center. Expecting any culinary miracles here is simply not fair. Rather, what you'll get here is a simple, standard, cheap dining experience. Nothing will blow you away. Nothing will amaze or impress you. You'd only be here because it's fast, easy, and inexpensive. Maybe also because you just happen to be in the area.

From their very short menu, I ordered the beef nacho for $5.25 for lunch. It came to $5.78 after tax, so you'd be good with just six dollars here. So the meal arrives and its most striking feature is how little effort it must have taken to make it. Not like I should have expected anything more from a modest Mexican restaurant, but it was just a bunch of ingredients thrown together and presented as a dish. I could have made the same thing myself without that much difficulty. Just eyeing the food, I was able to identify:

      - generic nacho chips. You should be able to find a bunch of these in grocery stores; they come in large bags. You know the ones.
      - ground beef
      - chopped white onions
      - chopped tomatoes
      - melted cheddar cheese
      - cilantro
      - a dollop of sour cream

And that's basically it. With the exception of the sour cream, these things were all distributed more or less evenly atop a paper plate, made of the same kind of cardboard that you find a dozen of eggs in. And this was on a black plastic tray. There's hardly anything out there that screams "budget food!" more than what I found here.

The food itself doesn't taste bad. It just doesn't taste like anything I couldn't throw together on my own. This place thankfully doesn't charge unreasonable prices for such common food, but it's not like they deserved high prices to begin with. After finishing all this, I was still left a little hungry. But I'm not going to take off a bunch of points just because anyone could just save themselves the trouble and make the exact same meal. With a ton of competing restaurants just around this place, however, you might find something there that impresses you more.

Beef nacho. $5.25 for all this before tax, $5.78 after tax. The cash displayed was the change for a $20 dollar bill

This is a good option if you want something cheap and light for lunch in the mall. They sell tacos for $2.50 each. The tacos come with a deluge of free toppings including hot salsa, raw onions, cilantro and a few other goodies all in a soft corn tortilla. I choose the chicken and the meat was moist and flavorful.

So all and all I'm a fan! And conclude this to be one of the better options in the mall.

Locally and family owned. Money is put to good use. Good authentic Mexican food. Freshly made and ready for you to order. Flavorful and the staff is always happy to be of service and seem very thankful for your business. You don't find that in corporate type food court restaurants. Some other reviews complain about over priced food. Well, they should check out other options and see the worse options.
I have thoroughly enjoyed and am currently enjoying my meal from them.

      Thank you Salena Mexicana!

I decided to deviate from my lunch at Charlie's Subs and try out this place. Now I love mexican food and it really irks me how Seattle does a northwest twist on it so I can never find true mexican food here.

This place wasn't to bad looking from what I could see on the menu. Kind of like a taco time or something. I ended up getting a burrito and a taco and whoa talk about a lot of food for 7 bucks! Not to mention it was delicious but I couldn't eat it all.

I'd definitely go here again but if anyone knows of a good REAL mexican place let me know.

In my opinion it's an average affair Mexican place. I got the Enchilada (I wish it came with more than one for the price). It was good but nothing special for sure. My co-worker got the taco salad and she said the salad part was good but that the shell tasted 'rancid' (that's litterally the word she used). That being said with average fair and small-ish portions I couldn't see myself coming back here very often. With so many other options in the area it's just hard to justify. If the quality or quantity increased I could see it being a better value.

I was not impressed , it was about what I expected from a food court nacho , and taco. I have had better and I have had worse .
I will tell you you should get the food when they put out fresh stuff and not let it sit around to long or you will be eat ting something soggy . if you want something to just fill you up for the next hour then you are at one of the correct spots .
the taco I ate first so it was hot and did not get a chance to get the residue steam from the plate soaking back into the food , I advise season to taste no reall flavor other wise .
the nachos were ok like I said food court food . I did not eat all and had them in my car for 15 mins , no good after that .then again that is my fault .

Ate here to satisfy a Mexican craving. It's just ok. Walked up on the weekend during lunch hour and it was empty. Probably for a reason. Two guys serving were too busy in their conversation to fully attend to my burrito. Woman behind the counter was unfriendly and slow. Chipotle or anywhere else could have been better. Mildly good food I could have made better myself at home. At least it was relatively cheap. I walked by on my way out of the food court and it was still empty later with more people there for lunch. Maybe another better Mexican place can come to this food court?

Food court Mexican. A step above Taco Bell, a step below Azteca's. The chicken chimichanga was all right and the salsa had a nice kick. The two guys working behind the counter were both very friendly, which was a nice surprise, and the portion to price ratio is cheap for Westlake Center.
