Came in after walking by and saw several tables full. Did not disappoint. Hubby had pho which was delicious. I had the tofu vermicelli which was yummy as well. I loved that the tofu was lightly fried and there was a good amount as well.
Food was served very fast. Service was friendly and food is good.
Highly recommend Saigon Restaurant.
Water served is 9.5 Kangen water. Huge plus!
(Also has a clean restroom.)

Got the lemongrass chicken banh mi. Lemongrass chicken was very saucy and had bell peppers sautéed with it. It was pretty sweet like a teriyaki chicken style. Asked if they could add pate to the sandwich which was $1 extra but I barely see any inside.
Won't order this sandwich again cause lemongrass banh mi is better everywhere else I have tried.

The food is still just as good as I reviewed it 2yrs ago. I had the same tuna bahn mi and it was just as crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The restaurant is clean and service is quick and efficient. I came during weekday around 1230 and it was not crowded. There are lots of takeout orders though.

We ordered the regular size pho and it's still just as tasty. Packed w veggies and tofu made for a very delightful lunch. Their bahn mi is so good too. Bread was fresh with just enough crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I got the tuna and it was packed with flavorful pickled veggies.
Parking is street so that's always a downfall but was able to find even during lunch time. This restaurant has been around forever and was nominated runner up for 2020 Best Vietnamese. Reasonable prices and friendly service. - Chock F.Urban Honolulu, HI052Apr 23, 2024

Affordable and great portion. Their pho broth is nice & not overly salty. Overall great selection of sandwiches and noodle bun dishes. Parking is across the street or if you're lucky, right in front there's a few metered stalls.

The man didn't acknowledged us at all but his wife came by maybe once to drop our meal (they weren't busy). Food was tasty but smaller than I remember. My experience wasn't as what I remembered. Probably go back to my other places for more hospitable service as it's just basic rule to check in at least once with your customers not just look sulky behind the table
Feb 6, 2016Previous reviewVery affordable compared to nearby more expensive Vietnamese places. Their pho broth is nice as it is not salty and heavy as other places but they are a little skimpy with the meats in their pho.
Only recommendation is the small portions in some of their dishes as there are other affordable places that give better portions for the same price.
My fave is their egg vermicelli noodle mix with seafood :)

The service was snappy and accurate. The order taker didn't need to write it down and it was perfect.
The ambiance is what usual Vietnamese restaurants are here but it was cleaner than any other.
I highly recommend.

I started going there cuz the menu is reasonable priced. Although it's all take out, it's convenient cuz u can just park pick up and go. It might all change as the state opened up to tier 3. Anyhow the oxtail was very tender, soup was tasty, plenty vegetables and didn't have a lot of junk on the bottom. Also came with noodles and rice. This is my new go to for oxtail soup.
