Sagebrush Press Book Store

Just came by to buy some books. So sad to see this shop has gone out of business. Man. This just is a shame.

Pretty lovely used bookstore. Lots of sections that if you peer at the shelves---you'll see little labels on what the sections are about.
Really affordable and a maze of books to wade through. It will take you some time if you actually want to see what's contained inside this store. Keep your eyes peeled for this place. It's next to a smoke shop and a food place.

This is a true hidden gem of Yucca Valley! We stop every time we are in the area. There are thousands of books in all genres. I collect a few children's series, and I can always find a few here. Her prices are completely fair and she usually has 1/2 price books, $1 books, or a tub of "free with purchase" books!

This place is awesome. Tons of old books that aren't in print anymore. There is a large selection of desert and western books. I found an awesome book from 1939 about nursing history and my husband found an old accordion music book.

I got into trouble with this place. 40 bucks of used books. Huge selection. Definitely a place to stop at if you're in town and like to read.

This is a large, varied, gem of a used bookstore. Its name is a little misleading -- you might think from the name that it only sells books produced by some local publisher named Sagebrush Press. But no.

My partner and I have visited a lot of used bookstores around the country, and one of the things we've noticed is that deserts tend to have more than their share of good ones. I guess it's a combination of the dry climate (no mustiness) and cheap rent?

Sagebrush Press Book Store is so full of books that it's hard to manuever around the shelves. It's the type where there are lots of unpacked boxes filling the the aisles between the packed shelves, and you wonder whether those boxes will every be unpacked.

Big selections of BOTH popular books (trade paperbacks of every genre) and history, literature, various non-fiction genres, etc. Big selection of Western, California, and desert books. I picked up a WPA Guide to Utah, originally published in the late 1930s, for a good price.

I've been to a lot of bookstores and this really was an amazing find. I wish I would have had more time to spend hours in this place. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing book store! It is packed with stuff so there is no way to go away without what you are looking for. The owner is also super nice and friendly. I hands down recommend this place!

I've been returning for many years to this wonderful bookstore run by helpful Dan and Janet Cronkhite. It's a great funky place to browse, where in addition to the full shelves by subject, there are piles of new additions on the floor. But ask and if they have it, they will quickly find it for you. They have a lot of western Americana, history, biography, mystery, some great bargains - a bit of everything and I always leave with a pile of books.
