I have shopped Safeway on 63 rd over ten years. Previous to now it was a 5 star store. Unfortunately they've brought on an associate, Rachel. Rachel has thrown things at customers, spoken rudely to me , to other customers and staff in front of me and has expressed that she doesn't care because there isn't anyone that will do anything about it and that is true! No one does a thing about her or her attitude. Management refuses to anything.I suggest shopping elsewhere. Somewhere you wont be hit Or spoken to rudely.

Because I went to the rose area and no one was there but there was a sign that said if you need help go to customers service we gladly help you and it's not ture because they didn't want to help me and I don't know why they have this sign up if they can't help customers out.....

I used to go here all the time for my weekly groceries but one night we were getting ice cream, we got it at self checkout, right when they were closing one of the doors (we went at night) so we walked out behind the registers with ice cream in our hands and our receipt (since bags aren't free) and one of the employees made a snarky comment about us shoplifting.
I went here multiple times per week, I've seen this employee so many times.. I'm sure they knew my face too, I'm not someone who even looks like they would shoplift.

I came here to get COVID-19 immunizations for my children, and they did an excellent job of this. Off of the pharmacy is a waiting room that looks far too nice to be in a grocery store, and this is where one waits for the vaccinations. There is a separate small room in which the pharmacist actually gives the injections, which maintains privacy from the others in the waiting room. Once immunized, you're given a coupon for 10% off of any purchased in the entire store.

The girl with the bright red hair always has some kid of attitude problem and is very judgmental of people but they continue to have her working there!

Very low energy here. The most of the employees are not customer friendly. I've lived in the neighborhood for 13 years and there's really nothing that stands out from this store besides the convenience. I go there several mornings during the week getting a couple of items. I usually go around 8 am. Around that time they seem to be doing restocking. I walk pass several employees and not one of them greet you, offer help, smile, wave and all the above. Even the lady at the self check out stood right next to me and didn't say a word. There's a employee name Eric there. He is the best thing happening there. Everything time I see him he goes out his way to speak to me and help me in anyway. Thank God for him. I try my best to shop at Winco when I'm doing my big shop and I feel like I'm part of the community.

I usually shop at a different location but decided to go to this one further out because other location store security followed me around the entire time too close for comfort when I been shopping there frequently for 2 years and never stole anything. since I was the only black customer in the store, I could tell I was being racially profiled. So I don't want Saturday after I finish shopping at this location. We decided to try to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee at Starbucks and had a cart parked just outside the seating area. The entire time to security guards kept staring at us as if we were going to jump up and run out the store without paying for groceries, never shopping at this location again. Going to try one more Safeway and if security follows me around or stares me down while I'm trying to enjoy my coffee then I'm done with all Safeway for good. Not to mention both locations some of the store clerks have a nasty attitude with black customers.

Placed an order last night for pickup at 5 today. Drove to the store at 5, sat there for 15 minutes and figured they were a little busy. Called customer service, got no answer. Stepped inside to talk to customer service but no one was helping. Left because I was now running late for school. At 7:30 I got a notification of my phone saying my order was ready for pickup. At the end of class I get a call but I don't answer because I'm in class, get a voicemail from Safeway saying my order was ready for pickup and she would be there until 9:45. I got out of class just before 8:30, I call Safeway customer service but once again get no answer. I drove to Safeway, arrived around 9, called customer service... no answer. Go inside and ask a few of the employees if the gal that left me a voicemail was around and I was there to pick up an order. Explained the voicemail, they sent me to the manager. I don't know what his name is and I regret not getting it. I explained everything to him he was extremely rude to me. I tried to show him the voicemail and he said he doesn't care, the pick up order workers were gone. He didn't try to help or resolve anything with me and was rude like I was doing something wrong?! I do not understand why this had to be so difficult. I have already told my wife I will never shop at safeway again because last time I shopped there everything was fine until I got home. All of my produce and bags smelled like cigarettes really bad. I noticed the smell when I was checking out, didn't think much of it. Next thing I know my whole kitchen smells like someone smoked a cigarette in it.

Jul 15, 2022Previous reviewSomehow our cashier managed to ruin all of our groceries in her brief encounter with them. Was walking out of the store and smelt cigarettes, thought it was just someone we crossed paths with. Got home and unloaded all my groceries, all of a sudden I smell cigarettes again!?!? Everything we have literally stinks now and we're debating on throwing out $140 in groceries because our entire kitchen stinks...

I frequent this Safeway location very often since it is the closest supermarket to my house. Overall this location is good. I almost always find what I am looking for. The downside, they are often sold out of some items and the amount of items they carry are small. I feel like even though the store itself is rather large, they have a larger variety of multiple items, which means less shelf space. For example, their cake mix section is so small. Many times they are just sold out of the popular cake mix flavors. They have a small Asian section and sometimes even carry Asian produce like lemongrass. Spam is often sold out as well.
The cashiers have all been really nice for the most part. I feel bad for them because they work so hard. They don't have anyone bagging groceries for them and they have a long line of people. They really need extra staff on hand to help. I've gone shopping on busy days like right before thanksgiving and they didn't have extra staff for the crowd.
They have taken a few covid precautions such as:
1. Staff at the entrance (not sure what they're doing because majority of the time they're just lounging over a cart of cleaning products)
2. Wipes for carts
3. Hand sanitizer at the checkout
4. Masks required by staff and patrons
5. One way aisles with floor markers (people don't even follow the signs which can get irritating)

$6.99 for The Little Potato Company Trio and they were rotten! If you can't take care of getting bad products off the shelf, I'm not going to shop there.
