I was recently in this store on a rainy Sunday afternoon. There was only one employee and she was helping a customer. When I came in, the employee didn't acknowledge me. It would have been polite and good customer service to say hello and welcome me to the store, considering it was a rainy day and not much foot traffic. I was looking for some jewelry and they have a large selection. I looked, picked up several pieces and walked around the large display area at least four times. I even walked around the store tried on a few necklaces and still this employee showed no interest in me. She was so preoccupied with the customer she was helping that she ignored a potential customer. Although there were several items I considered purchasing I decided against buying anything. I hope that customer made a large purchase, because ignoring my presence in the store cost them mine.

Well, years passed and I did return to Mendocino and go on a buying frenzy at Safari. This time the clerk was helpful but let me browse to my heart's content without being pushy. I gained many lovely unique additions to my wardrobe. I will return!!!

I love this store. I got 1 complete outfit with the help of an attentive shopkeeper. All of the fabrics and accessories are so well put together.
I am a full figured woman, and managed to find a great pair of palazzo pants, complimenting top and a lil bling. I would like a better selection of skirts, but the North Coast is a windy place, and the few they had ran a bit too small. I will definitely return to this funky classy shop. Since I am not typically a big shopper, I was really pleased with the service and compliments of the salesperson. I wore my new ensemble out to the Ledford House Bistro for our Friday Date Night Dinner, and I felt perfectly comfortable and put together with my North Coast Style.

Let me start by saying that I spent $818 in this store. I loved the clothes and said immediately upon walking in that I could fill my closet with their selection. However, the only salesperson there was on the phone & ignoring me. She acted preoccupied & irritated when I asked her questions. I put together my own outfits & made comments, hoping for some assistance, receiving none. The only time she perked up was when she started ringing up my clothing. Maybe it was an off day for her, or maybe she is always resentful of having to work for a living. Whatever... if the owner of the store is reading this, I shopped on November 2, 2009. If she was the owner of the store, shame on her!!!

I went in there with my wife and mother-in-law and parked myself in a chair while they shopped for 45 minutes. I was told by them that the displays were incredibly well done, great merchandise. I had the opportunity to talk to who I assumed was the store owner and she was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. we spent about $250 there on scarves and jewelry and I'm hoping she can find a skirt my wife liked in the right size. I'll be set for Xmas :-) We're definitely going back when we visit next year.

Lots of neat funky stuff you really don't find in other stores. Fair prices, beautiful clothes and jewelry, from all around the world.

I love this store. It's beautiful, and Sarah, the owner, does a beautiful job coordinating clothes and jewelry. She remembers who you are, even if you only make it in there a few times a year. I always get great customer service. This store has something unique for every woman! I never visit Mendocino without stopping in.

I entered the shop looking for a gift for a friend. The sales person was friendly, helpful, and made me comfortable, though I get very nervous and self-conscious in clothing stores. I was shown a variety of items in a range of prices and chose a lovely necklace that really suited my friend. The store is very well displayed, with items combined that enhanced each others. Great, natural fabrics and designs, you could purchase a complete outfit down to the scarf, pin and earrings. Very enjoyable and satisfying shopping. Hubby was waiting in the car, so had to rush, but will visit again this winter. Prices were very fair, and many items were hand crafted in u.s.! The shop is set back a little on Main St, but worth looking for.

I recently was camping in Mendocino, and remembered this store from previous holidays in the area. I had loved the clothes! This time, I had saved up some money, and spent quite a bit there. The salesperson that day was fantastic. She found items that were suitable to my figure (a challenge) and coloring. I told a friend of mine that, in this day of big box stores and hurried "everything," this is how shopping "could be." I love everything I bought and my colleagues at work are complimenting me on my outfits. I certainly will be back!
