It is not that good. I prefer Arturo's in Poplar Grove or go just a little down the road to Fiesta Cancun.

We ordered chicken enchiladas and a steak fajitas. It was ready when they said it would be and everything was hot. We will be going back-soon. They do not have indoor seating due to Covid.

Their verde sauce tasted sour and the manager had the audacity to tell ME that maybe my taste buds are off.
Worst experience service wise and food wise. Will never go backHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - K T.Waxhaw, NC06Jul 9, 2021
This is not the spot for authentic Mexican. We thought we were getting queso for our chips but we got the orange, fake nacho cheese dip you get at football games. The rice tasted like it was out of a box and entrees were bland. No one in our group finished their meal and no one asked for a box. The 2 stars were earned for the pinto beans and the friendly server. I recommend giving somewhere else a try, if you're looking for Mexican.

A good Mexican cuisine option on the north side of town.
Pros:
-I've never been dissatisfied with a meal here. Flavors are right on par with any local Mexican restaurant I've been to
-Decent space and clean
-Responsive staff and plenty of options on the menu. They are willing to do minor tweaking (as I hate beans)
Cons:
-Their menu, wait service, and seating options seem to change during certain times of the day and it can get confusing - things aren't always clear. A minor annoyance, but its hardly a major strike against them
Bottom line:
Not perfect, but good. Worth future visitsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff M.Rockford, IL08Jul 12, 2019
I love the food and specially the fish fry on Friday nights. The tacos and enchiladas are terrific. The one and only place I go for fish.

A bit expensive but worth every penny for true authentic Mexican food. Not loaded down with seasoning salt and msg which I try to avoid. Made fresh to order every time. Always happy when I leave. If you want a healthier Mexican food and don't mind spending a few extra bucks this is the place.

No stars. Tacos dry, my chicken wasn't what the menu said and burrito so so. And woman on the phone was rude. I would give no stars.

My realtor took me and my husband to Sabrosa when they were in the old strip mall about
10 years ago. I have since moved from Rockford and have lived in 5 different places and I still
come out there to eat every couple of months. I now live in Vernon Hills and I went out there
yesterday to eat. It's a craving like I can't describe. I take my friends any chance I get.
The burritos are the BEST!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
