Spirits Food & Friends

Passing through on way home and asked for recommendations on Facebook. This place was recommended and I saw that they had a Reuben which I had just said that I was hungry for, so we stopped.
Excellent customer service and food was also really good. We got the pimento cheese appetizer and it was so good that we got another order to bring home for later.
The Reuben was good (I have had better and I have worse, but it was good).
My husband ordered the 1/2 muffuletta and he really enjoyed it. Glad that he only ordered the half because even with that we will both be able to eat leftovers on it!

This review is regarding take out.

Ordered redfish and it was cooked like a hockey puck, I didn't get to eat dinner this night as I wasn't going to go back.

Next time tried the salmon, I could literally taste the salt coming off the filet.

I feel like Spirits is one of the better options in Alexandria however, I am disappointed this has happened twice when I pick up.

Service: Casual and attentive. Really enjoyed her!

Ambiance: chill. There's a stage for live music on Thursdays, and a projector.

Food:
Crawfish Beignets: 3/5. If you've ever had fried Mac and cheese balls, they're basically this with crawfish. Delicious if that's what you're thinking you're getting! Otherwise, the actual beignet concept is lost on both myself and a local.

Fried Green Beans: 4/5. Crispy and neat. Sweet chili sauce is not spicy. Other than that, this was a table favorite.

Pasta: Just lower your expectations a bit and you'll be fine.

Drinks:
Espresso Martini: 2/5. The drink on a Saturday night was disappointing. The espresso was not smooth and the mix was way too sweet.

HD the fried green beans and the Crispy chicken sandwich both were good, service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Worth a stop if you are in Alexandria

Whenever we visit Alexandria, we HAVE to go to Spirits. The crawfish beignets and devil eggs are our staple starters - unique and delicious. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. The ahi tuna and burgers are top notch. This is a great place for a drink after work with friends or a casual date night.

Ok.. they def didn't skimp on the blue cheese so get that on the side as it is potent! But the steak was perfect and the marinade was killer! Only wish there was more. The salad was good and I'm so happy I got this for lunch. Waiter was nice and it was packed but he did come to say hey and make sure we were good. Hope to come back again next time and try something else on the menu.

Food is the best, service is good, the place looks great too, we love eating there. We like the live music too !!

This is hands down mine and my wife's favorite date spot! The atmosphere is lively. The food is all amazing. We once ordered ever appetizer on the menu as our meal and everything was to perfection. My favorite is the deviled eggs and the Tuna Burger with extra Honey Wassabi..... mmmmmm ... so..... goood. My wife loves their half and half salad. Always friendly service. This plays stays packed for a reason!

Very nice employees, good food and great atmosphere. They absolutely make sure you're taken care of and you're not unnoticed upon arriving.
