I recently purchased a Honda Metropolitan 50 cc scooter from Honda of New Orleans. Everyone I dealt with was nice and accommodating. I called on Monday only to get a recording stating that they were closed on Mondays, so i called back on Tuesday and let them know I was interested in purchasing said scooter. I was told that they didn't have one in house, but there was one in their warehouse and they would have it brought to the store for my purchase. Wednesday I got a confirmation call that the scooter would be ready for pick-up by my next day off. Friday I went into the store, finalized all the details and drove my beautiful new scooter home.
This location also sells motorcycles, 4-wheelers, power generators, helmets, gloves and other cycling accessories. Although I paid for my bike outright, they offer financing assistance if you need to pay for your purchase over time.
Thanks Honda of New Orleans for bringing me and my scooter together. Although I think 'Honda of Kenner' would be a more appropriate and realistic name for your business. ;-)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Phil A.New Orleans, LA1548Aug 28, 2017
I recently purchased a 2018 honda pcx 150 and the experience was great. Ian and Dave were great to work with and very helpful with me as a new rider. If you're interested in getting into riding, i recommend going to see them.

Wow. Now owned by Hall's I think this was Garrett Honda, I'll never darken their door again. Brought in a Honda that had been stole they had it for weeks. BTW if you leave anything there they make you sign a 3 page contract, release stating if you have issues they WILL be resolved by arbitration. It means if they screw it up you still gonna pay half!!! Friendly enough folks for sure. They had my bike for 6 weeks before I called them and asked them what's up and they informed me they didn't want to work on it and that would be $100. Not even a list of broken stuff on her that I needed to fix myself. Then they had the nerve to ask me "hey if you need any parts get them from us...!"
This is in line with the Hall's on Westbank that wanted considerably more than MSRP on some tire's. I'm glad biz is good at these places because I'll switch over to HD before I'll ever do biz with either Halls location.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - CaoimhghÃn L.Santa Rosa, CA07Sep 19, 2015
This was such a disaster I hardly even know where to begin. I purchased a scooter there about a year ago and the scooter is great - Honda has great engineering. However, the process of purchasing it was disappointing. No one in the dealership knew anything about the product I wanted to buy or when it would be available. Merely from reading the Honda website, I knew more about the scooter than they did and I actually tutored them on the features and specifications of the product they were selling.
The real catastrophe, though, was on the service end. A few months after purchase, my new scooter was stolen and recovered and had to have work done on it, chiefly body work. It took over four months of constantly badgering their service department before the work was finally completed. In fairness, I'm sure that part of that problem had to do with the availability of the required parts from Honda. They repeatedly told me that they were unable to obtain the parts and had no notion of when the parts might become available. Is that the dealership's fault or the manufacturer's for not providing parts in a timely fashion? I honestly don't know for sure, but, when I searched for the parts online, I was able to find them without much difficulty, so I can't help but wonder. I also can't help but wonder whether, had they been a bit more motivated, they might not have been able to make a few phone calls to their suppliers and speed up delivery of those parts, or at least get realistic estimates as to when they might be available. After they missed multiple dates to have the parts available, one of their people let slip that they really didn't know (and weren't going to go to the trouble of finding out), they had just made up the date. Either way, the inability to obtain parts is a serious problem.
What did lie firmly within the dealership's ability to control was the quality of their service with the parts they were able to access. I had to routinely call and inquire as to the status of the repairs as they would never call me. When I left messages, no one ever returned my calls. Deadlines they provided would come and go without any results or notifications. When I would reach someone and a part had come in, I would be told: "Oh yeah, that part came in weeks ago, didn't anyone call you?" Several essential and obvious repairs were completely overlooked and had to be specifically pointed out by me in order for them to take notice. I repeatedly requested that they order certain parts that were conspicuously missing and, no matter how many times I requested it, the parts were never ordered. For some parts, I eventually ended up going online and ordering and installing them myself because it was easier, quicker, and infinitely more reliable than waiting for them to get around to it. I repeatedly asked them to check the basic workings of the motor - oil level, fluid levels, timing, etc. - and would be told: "Oh sure, it's all fine, everything's great." Then I would check the oil myself and find that it was horribly sludgy and the level was low. Obviously, they never even bothered to check, they just said that they had in order to brush me off. Last but not least, in the course of repairing one problem, they managed to break something else. When they "repaired" what they had broken, their quick and shoddy fix broke before I could even get the scooter home again. In utter despair, I gave up on them and fixed it myself. And for all of this, you can expect to pay premium rates.
In conclusion, Honda makes some very fine vehicles and I'm sure you will be happy with whichever one you get. But pray that you don't need to buy it or get it serviced at Honda of New Orleans.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Reed M.Kenner, LA01Apr 30, 2014First to Review
Excellent customer service. I had a tire that needed replacing and had to go through an insurance company. They were courteous and patient despite the extra work this have them. They had me in and out in no time and added a few extras for free. I get all my services on my bike done here and will continue to do so.
