I came on a Friday evening for dinner around 8:30pm. It open seating. Service was a little slow, but not bad and we got our food pretty quickly.
We ordered brussel sprouts for a starter and the garlic parmesan halibut and buffalo chicken sandwich with an Irish apple cake for dessert. The food was all good.
The brussel sprouts appetizer came out at the same time as our food, which we didn't mind, but we also realized the halibut came with the exact same brussel sprouts and there were a TON. I wish our server had warned us so we could have tried something else, but it wasn't a huge deal.
The chicken sandwich also did have mayo on it which wasn't listed on the menu, and my husband hates mayo, so that was unfortunate. Next time we'll have to ask when ordering.
The apple cake was very yummy. The portions were all generous.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David R.Redlands, CA02Dec 21, 2023

Went in to check things out, First time there.
They Craft their own beer and it was crap.
Had a couple different beers and they both tasted flat.
Had a bubbly appetizer which is a fried potato ball with corned beef inside.
Fairly big, but barely any meat.
Will never go backHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - ryan s.Yucaipa, CA957511Apr 18, 2024
I got the fish and chips they were really good. My wife got the grilled cheese and broccoli cheese soup ( they had 4 soups to choose from) she loved it. We both had a tall Guinness Mmm.
Not a fancy place more of a bar atmosphere witch I'm most comfortable with. They had a lot of regulars there and staff were very friendly and attentive to everyone. The only negative for me is that they leave front door open and guests were going outside to smoke and it was coming into the restaurant. We will be back soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 17, 2023
The Royal Falconer Pub is located in the heart of downtown Redlands on Orange Street. There is limited street parking with a free parking garage nearby. I typically come in the afternoon and either get front row street parking or I park across the street in the large CVS lot.
This restaurant consists of indoor dining only with both short and tall tables as well as a very large L shaped bar.
This bar gives me all the feels of being right in the UK. The decor and lighting is warm and inviting and unique to the Redlands area. If there were a fireplace here I'd never leave because it feels like home.
I love the food here - their fish and chips is my fav in town and a MUST paired with a cold Harp beer when I come. But I've tried more than half the menu and there isn't a single thing that isn't downright tasty! I was able to try some of their new menu items coming out and WOW. The Bubble & Squeak appetizer is just amazing. I had to stop eating them so I could finish my other items (garlic Parmesan halibut, beer battered green beans, fish and chips and Irish apple cake). Everything tastes fresh - not out of a box or frozen and I truly
Appreciate that.
I also tried the blue dream martini, bagpipers Bloody Mary, habanero mule and the coconut coffee martini. They have really come along way with their cocktails (I've been coming here since I was 21 when we just order beer and shots lol)! That habanero mule was refreshing and will now be something I order every time but that Bloody Mary is perfection on a Sunday!
Service was great as usual. The General Manager Sam is a true gem in this place - he always meets us with a smile and makes sure the patrons are taken care of.
They have Taco Tuesday, Tricia, karaoke, open mic night and other events during the year to attend but my FAVORITE thing about the Royal Falconer is that they show the World Cup Games! They open early and when I attended the last USA game, the place was absolutely packed and the vibe was amazing. So many people in their USA gear cheering! They offer a special menu when they do this and I highly recommend it at least once.

The Royal Falconer is a pretty straight-forward pub, see my inside pic. Back in the day, it had a fairly Old English thematic feel which has been diluted over time but still has some elements. Because of the dark wood and red brick interior, our favorite memories are being there on rainy or colder evenings. That being said, with their large screen TVs, it's a good spot for watching sports in a pub environment. I've included pics of their current menus (Oct 2023). But on this visit, we went for their Fish and Chips.
I've always liked their Fish and Chips. I actually ordered the Cod fish and chips. When my order came with the Halibut, I accepted it and figuring while it cost me more, I'd enjoy the upgrade. My pic shows the Halibut option (more pricey). I'm not sure that 2 pieces are normal, but that's what came this evening. As you can see in my pic, the pieces are fairly large. The breading was light and flaky. Inside were actual fish fillets: light and flaky. These were fried just right. The steak fries are average. I usually soak them in malt vinegar, so that's okay. The waiter offered some options to the regular steak fries. So I accepted the seasoned fries' option. The seasonings on these steak fries were very, very light. But it wasn't disclosed that there would be a "small upcharge", in hindsight I found this cost increase listed under the sandwiches heading.
We also had the Shepherd's Pie. This is a big bowl: lots of mashed potatoes on top of a beef stew with veggies. The mashed potatoes are as light as they look. I really enjoyed dipping them into the gravy that is shown on the side. The shredded beef in the stew was quite savory. The stew sauce was very salty, for our taste. The peas and carrots were cooked well in the stew. The side of zucchini was seasoned and a bit over-cooked.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mike V.Redlands, CA031Apr 16, 20241 check-in
Best fish and chips ( halibut) is absolutely delicious! It is a large portion of meat along with a perfectly battered piece of fish. It gives you both substance and flavor. The atmosphere is fun and engaging!

The bartender with the blonde hair, she's Hispanic. I just went there at 3:00pm and she was totally unprofessional. She was just so rude and not wanting to serve us. I wouldn't come here again because of her service. Saying someone's drunk just because she didn't see a shot cup that was hiding behind her phone. She doesn't even deserve one star she gets 0!
