Donna and Bill were fabulous with the service. We enjoyed our fresh food and had a wonderful time sitting out on the patio. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Made it back to Rosie's for those amazing caramelized pineapple coconut pancakes! I've thought about this place all year! And the pancakes didn't disappoint . . .
They were as flavorful as ever, with the coconut adding a delightful crunchy texture to the moist pancakes. H got the traditional breakfast and he loved it. He's pretty picky about his eggs and these were perfect.
Donna, the owner is hands on and works the dining room as well as the kitchen. The waitstaff is efficient and caring. This is a wonderful place to visit often, for lunch as well as breakfast! Our favorite breakfast/lunch spot on the island!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 6, 2021Previous reviewRosie's is that rare combination of warm, wonderful service and excellently prepared foods. We have tried the other breakfast places on the island but came across a review for Rosie's and decided to give it a try.
We were greeted at the door by the new owner who along with her husband, daughter and son-in-law took over as the new management in October (yes, this terrific place is owner-operated) and our order was so cheerfully taken by the owner's daughter. Regulars are treated like family, and welcomed warmly each time they visit. Rosie's isn't nearly as crowded as the other breakfast places but the food is just as delicious, if not more so!
I ordered the caramelized pineapple and coconut pancakes with bacon. I've had pineapple pancakes before but they weren't nearly as good as Rosie's! My husband ordered the standard eggs and hash browns with sausage and everything was superb.
We loved it so much that we're headed back for lunch today. Hubby has his eye on the French dip while I'm going to try the crunchy grouper. Rosie's plans to open for dinner soon so be sure to check for her hours.
This is a wonderful restaurant run lovingly by wonderful people. Be sure to visit at least once (if not many times!) during your Sanibel trips - Caren W.Burke, VA010Jan 12, 2023

It's important to support all businesses during this pandemic and spread the word about those that are going the extra mile.
We are visiting Sanibel Island from Texas and it's been very difficult to explore everything the area has to offer with COVID19 going on.Â
Rosies is following local guidelines for social distancing, the staff is wearing masks.
The blueberry pancakes were so good that we went back twice! They make them the way I love them, full of blueberries and grilled with butter, yummy!
Rosies is cozy, comfortable with the social distancing, and remarkable service.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jun 30, 2021
Glad we gave it a second try!
We tried this for dinner a long time ago & didn't care for it. My Mom read about it in a book, so we came back for breakfast. All of us had excellent omelettes & we've added it to our list. Turns out there are new owners & the food is excellent.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 712752Jul 5, 2022
This was my favorite meal out of 3 days on Sanibel. I got the southern Benedict and it was perfect. We also wanted to try the pineapple pancake and got 1 to split. It didn't need syrup and the coconut gave it a unique crunch that added texture. The staff was friendly and always checked every few minutes to make sure everything was good.

A rather large unmasked waitress greeted us at the front door and seated us outdoors at a very small table for two which was uncomfortably close to the next table...we moved to a table for four...one of many vacant...and were told upon her return that we must move back...I explained my concern about lack of social distancing and she replied well then I guess we have NO table for you...she turned around and left with my wife and I sitting there aghast at her attitude and behaviour.
Great way to treat tourists when the Restaurant business is tough enough without throwing prospective customers out in the street. Can't tell you how the food was because they wouldn't serve me any!
"A hidden gem"...no wonder it's hidden!!!!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Victoria H.Palm Harbor, FL4396282Dec 29, 2020
One of the best small/local businesses in Sanibel!
We stumbled across this gem during a trip to the island for Thanksgiving as they were one of the few breakfast establishments open on the holiday. The minute we walked in, we felt like family! The staff is so kind and accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious! My eggs were cooked perfectly (which for me means not too much oil). I cannot wait to come back and try their delicious ice cream offerings!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
