I will say up front, we didn't stay there. My review is on their lack of customer service. I tried making reservation for two rooms for two nights for two people. It took me to outside places to make the reservation, and when I indicated I needed two rooms/two nights/two people, what came up was two people for two nights, but didn't indicate two rooms. I called them several times. No one ever answered the phone. I finally left a message. A lady called me back while I was driving, and I wasn't sure of the dates I needed without my paperwork (we are planning things for a total of two weeks). She said she'd call me back in a couple of days. Of course, no one called me back. If you call them back, all you get is voicemail. If this is how bad your customer service is, I don't want to bother staying there. Since we're going to Elmira the day after we spend time in Corning, I reserved two nights with Kitty at the Enchanted Cottage. She was delightful, answered her phone, texted me later to thank me for deciding to stay there, and we will get the whole house to ourselves for the time we're there.

Rosewood Inn is exactly what a professionally run B&B should be. Located in a quaintly pink Victorian house (five rooms and two suites) only a couple of blocks away from Corning's downtown shopping and dining area. The furnishings may look old-fashioned but they're perfectly functional. The proprietress treats you like a new friend and answers any questions you may have. Refreshments are always available. While the rooms don't have their own television, a common room on the second floor has a large flat-screen TV and plenty of magazines. I stayed in a queen room with one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever encountered. Off-street parking is available from the alley behind the house. And the breakfast service is wonderful--I was offered bananas, granola, fruit salad, and yogurt to start, followed by a fresh-baked cranberry muffin and a delicious baked cup of eggs, cheese, and potatoes. All in all, I'd rather pay a bit more to stay here than at the Radisson two blocks away.

The Rosewood Inn may only have 10 reviews but that is a shame. This is a gem of a B&B if you are going to Corning. Located 1 block away from main street and 2 blocks from the Museum, it is terrific. Suzanne, the owner, takes care of every guest. Every dietary issue is dealt with and handled so you have something great to eat. The rooms are spacious. The WiFi works great. What a remarkable place to stay. Stay there. Go to the museum. Eat at The Cellar or the Three Birds and have a terrific time.

Sure it isn't exactly 5 star accommodations but seriously this was my best B&B stay ever.
The breakfast (French toast one morning, "German style eggs' the next) were absolutely delicious and same with Suzanne's homemade warm muffins!
The room was very quiet, very clean and bed very comfortable. It was the perfect, quiet country escape much needed from the concrete jungle. (plus air conditioning as it was way too hot/humid out!)
My favorite part though was Suzanne. She has got a personality like no other. The lady should do stand-up comedy. Usually I am not a morning person, not really a B&B person where you talk all morning over breakfast, but at this place I was. She is such a cool person!
Corning is actually an incredibly nice/great town too and town is just a short walk form the Inn.
Very highly recommend!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rose Ann H.Valley Stream, NY03018Jul 3, 2017
Had a wonderful stay at the Rosewood Inn. Everything was perfect. Our hostess Suzanne totally fits the part with her long skirts, scarves and choker necklaces and her funny and warm personality. Very knowledgeable about the town, glass museum, wineries and lakes. Our room was a private entrance on the side of the house. Very clean and pretty with even a flash light and umbrella for our convenience. Breakfast served at 8:30 each morning in the beautiful Victorian dining room was delicious. Light and fluffy peach muffins, fruit, cereal, egg bake etc. Coffee and tea in hall starting at 7:30.

Very nice B&B. Hostess was charming and very helpful. The food was fantastic. Only 1 minor caveat, which led to 4 stars versus 5. Breakfast is served at 8:30 and can take a rather long time to get through. If you like to get your day started before 9:30 AM its's cereal for you!

We return to Corning and the Rosewood after a 20-year hiatus. Although the Museum of Glass has undergone significant modernization and transformation, the Rosewood remains; warm, welcoming, wonderfully preserving the Victorian era and style.
Innkeeper Suzanne Sanders greeted us as though we had just come back from a walk in town; it was as if we had never left. The next morning we shared the breakfast table with the other guests as Suzanne had fresh fruit and an assortment of continental selections to enjoy as she prepared a warm egg casserole.
Our conversation that morning revolved around the new contemporary art wing at the CMOG, the upcoming Glassfest and other local offerings.
This Inn is certainly not the only choice in town but one of its best and remains our favorite place to rest when visiting Corning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
