TRUFFLE MAC & CHEESE all the way! I'll be dreaming about this dish for years to come. Macaroni and cheese meets truffle fries. if you're a fan of either or both, this is definitely a dish for you. It comes with penne pasta, delicious cheese, and breadcrumbs on top.
We got a house wine for the table and it was hugeeeee and $25. Def recommend but you'll need to share!

First time ever having to have Christmas Dinner out. Well this is the last time. Rude,rude,rude, and on top of rude bad service and bad management. I cant even go into detail. Everything about it was horrible except our company at the table. When we asked to talk to the manager, he did come over to our table but he was more concerned about getting all the food out all at one time and didn't really have an interest in what we were having to say.
My salmon was out, but everything on the plate was cold. They took it back with my bite, taken out of it, warmed it burnt it and brought it back to my table with the same bite taken out of it. Did not even get a Merry Christmas from anyone there even when we asked for the supervisor. After all the bad service, our waiter came back and I said hey, merry Christmas. He said nothing then we said hey are you not wanting to be here tonight and he said no I shouldn't have to be. They took 25% off our bill, gave us 1 free dessert go to share for 4 people, but charged us for 2 extra wines and a beer.The whole experience was horrible for a Christmas dinner out! Thank you Chris, Manger and staff for a horrible experience. Food was delicious and service was great. The server filled all of our special requests. I love that I can request fresh basil for the oil and d seasoning to dip bread. Wonderful experience.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Highly recommend you do not. ever go to this restaurant. We went to celebrate our daughters success in school, and went as a party of eight. I personally ordered the chicken marsala. I was surprised when it came. The chicken was about as thin piece of chicken as I've ever seen, almost like a scallopini. Being that thin, it was certainly over cooked and rubbery. It had a bad aftertaste. It had a little bit of breading on it that was slimy. The roasted garlic that was in the sauce was whole, and some of them were cold. Almost as if they had taken it out of the refrigerator and tossed it in the sauce at the last minute. I ended up, pulling the chicken out and eating just the pasta with the sauce.
One of my favorites at macaroni Grill is the bread. Unfortunately, the bread they served, tasted strange. It had all of the normal seasonings and tang, but the bread itself was like an old stale sponge.
One of my daughters has an aversion to cheese, so going to an Italian restaurant is always a challenge. She wanted to try the lobster bisque and asked the server if it had cheese in it. The server had to go check and found out that yes it did. my daughter, then ordered the tomato bisque instead. I asked her how it was, and her response was that it tasted like marinara sauce in a bisque soup. She said it was very chunky.
On the plus side, the most expensive thing we order today was the seafood ravioli. My other daughter had ordered this. She said it was good!
The server was OK, nothing bad to say. The restaurant itself was quite empty so I had thought to myself, maybe we will get more prompt service. Unfortunately, that was not the case, and we still had to wait the requisite 15 minutes after we Finished the meal before we got a return visit to get the check.
So I thought to myself, well, I guess we just won't Give that good of a tip. Unfortunately, because we had a party of eight, they automatically added a 20% gratuity! I'm used to a mandatory gratuity with large parties, such as ours, but honestly 20% is too high!
In summary, this was one of our worst restaurant experiences. Macaroni Grill usually has great ambience, and the air conditioner was on, so that was good, the server was adequate, the food was on the Whole atrocious. One of the least favorite meals I've ever had. When I was a kid, I remember my grandfather making me a spam sandwich (that was all we could find in the pantry). Honestly, I'm not. Kidding about this, the spam sandwich was an order of magnitude better than the meal I had at this macaroni Grill.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Ambiance: Presentable - Clean
Service: We were seated immediately as we came in but it wasn't busy. The host was pleasant. Our server was Jasmine, she was pleasant and offered recommendations which was a plus. However, we had to wait a good while for our food, to a point that others who came in after us received their food. This was NOT Jasmine's fault whatsoever. In fact, I watched as more and more people arrived; instead of getting other waitresses to tend to them. They piled the tables on Jasmine which makes her service questionable to others. It's disgusting what they're doing and I don't like it. I hope she gets a new job because it disgusting to sit back and watch. She handled way more tables than anyone there and it was because they kept calling her to tend to the new customers, as if she was only waitress there.

I really miss having a Macaroni Grill in San Antonio so come to this location whenever I'm in the area. Today Ashley was the server and she is truly a gem! Her recommendations were spot on. I wish this young lady the very best! Highly recommend the food, atmosphere and staff!

Amazing flavor on the seafood ravioli. The shrimp portifino was delicious. Service was great. Will definitely come back.

So it's been almost 3 years since I posted my initial review and we finally returned back to our once go-to date night spot. Immediately we were very impressed by our service. Very quick, but attentive, and thorough. Of course we may have just gotten lucky with who we got, but if all servers were like her no one would have bad service again. Food was great and with massive portions. The plates seemed to have more care into "presentation" than previously as well. I am disappointed that they don't hand crayons out to child-free tables anymore (I'm sure upon request they might) but we don't want to have to ask for crayons to be silly and draw on the paper lol. Definitely not a big deal at all. All in all we consider macaroni grill redeemed in our eyes and will be returning.

OMG, I had to work on Thanksgiving and decided to get my dinner from Macaroni Grill in The Woodlands. It was SUPERB. Throw your cooking skills to the wind next Thanksgiving, RELAX, and order your entire dinner from Macaroni Grill, your guests will think you were awarded a Michelin star at some point in your life for your delicious Thanksgiving dinner. This dinner was a 10+. I was so surprised, I thought it would just be a dinner without merit. Turkey, seasoned and tender. Gravy delicious, stuffing AMAZING, potatoes wonderful, Brocolini perfect, Key Lime pie Stupendous. I give Thanks first to our Almighty and for Macaroni Grill, they will be my go from now on for Thanksgiving.

I've been to a several macaroni grill over the past 10+ years. The quality today at this particular restaurant was especially disappointing. I'll start from top down.
Our server seemed like he was doing his best while being short staffed. He was running around but still got our requests. Nothing bad to say here.
Italian cream soda pomegrante - it was great. Not too sweet. Freshing. Good job to out waiter who had to also make it.
Bread - what happened?!? I know it's been 2 years since I've been yo a macaroni grill but since when does it taste like breadsticks? What happened to the fresh rosemarg bread that is crispy on the outside and light fluffy on the inside? This was like olive garden cheap bread stick that was dense. We had to get marinara sauce to pair with it because this bread did not go well with just olive oil. I remember a decade ago, i was telling how macaroni grill had amazing complementary bread. It was so good back then. 2/10
Calamari - eh. 4/10. Calamari lacked flavor. The dipping it was paired with... the pepper Bruschetta thing was meh, it would have gone better with marinara sauce. (Which btw we were charged extra for - which is questionable since both bread and calamari were extremely distasteful without it). Definitely would not order it from here again
Mushroom ravioli - 9/10. Thank god it was good because I drove an hour to get this dish. It's as good as I remembered it and I've had this dish over 30 times in my life. By far my fav dish at this resturant and luckily, it was good today.
Lobster bisque soup - 2/10. It was really really salty. Not sure how one would eat/drink this solo. We packed it to go so maybe it can be the sauce for our homemade pasta this week. We were tempted to return, but there was a small mistake in the kitchen and we got two. We felt bad returning 2 bowls of soup, so we just kept it. :/
Overall, if I can redo this entire experience, i would only reorder the italian cream sofa and mushroom ravioli. Disappointed in the quality change over the last 2 years.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
