I have played the Rock Creek Golf Course many times. It is a great track, and it is maintained impeccably.
We have played the course numerous times during the Covid lockdown, and it has been a great source of distraction. They wipe down the carts, rigged the cups so that you don't have to reach in, and still offer the beer cart!!! Kudos to keeping the course open during these days. So important to do something else besides sit at home.
Also, they just hired a new chef and the menu is great, and the food is top notch. We had a to go order from the grill this week, and it was delicious. We ordered burgers, BLT, Cobb Salad and Chicken Tenders. Every dish was cooked superbly!

If I could give zero stars I would. We are in from Florida and were looking at playing golf and decided to play here. When we showed up there were only two carts left and the cart guy within 3 minutes of us arriving stated they had run out of golf carts and was already complaining to us about how he hasn't gotten any tips today and that's it's "bullshit" he's getting carts ready for people and nobody is tipping when all he did was put two towels in the back and sent us on our way. So after listening to him we walked inside to check in. We arrived about 30 minutes early as we wanted to warm up. Once we got inside the guy checking us In basically told us they had overbooked and that we didn't have time to hit range balls and said we needed to go to the tee so they could get us through even though we had 30 minutes to hit. So after being rushed to the tee we got to the starter. There were about 6 golf carts waiting on the first tee to get off. We had shown up with two but we're waiting for our third when the starter tried to tell us to join the two some in front of us. When we told him we had a third with us and we were waiting on him he stated he didn't have another person on the sheet and that it didn't say another was coming. He then went on to state that my group didn't show up when we were standing right in front of him. This guy was so unprofessional and such an absolute jerk the entire time we were waiting for our third. Stating "you guys should be really disappointed in your third player" and "we are packed today and you guys need to get going" when we still had 15 minutes before the tee time we signed up for. After dealing with the majority of the unprofessional staff, the course ended up being okay. Greens on the front were in rough shape but the back 9 greens were great. In total we had almost a 6 hour golf round because of how many people were booked this day. Please consider other golf arrangements before paying to play here. I promise it's in your best interest.

Do not golf here. Do not work here. The worst people to work for especially Megan and Kurt. Would give 0 stars if I could. The golf course is horrible and people are even worse.

Military stay away!! They do not appreciate your business. The club regulars are pushy and expect right of way. The marshal John absolutely unprofessional. Has no clue how to respect the players. Try to be considerate of the men's league and marshal hounds us the whole back nine. Don't try and grab a snack or hit the head on the turn you'll "mess up the positioning of the club member's" the greens were dead, spotty, and slow.

The layout was fantastic! The greens were really bad. They were extremely slow with a lot of dead spots. I won't play here again until I know the greens have been changed.

Great little gem only problem is no marshals and the groups of old timers that parade around here in groups of 5 playing 6 hour rounds and don't want to let anyone play through

The course is absolutely beautiful!!! I cannot say that enough. I love it.
The price is another game. 70$ a round is a little high for me. But! for the course, I can understand why.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Glen H.Birmingham, AL324Sep 17, 2018
The course had some issues with the greens being splotchy and as a result a little uneven in places but overall I really liked it.

I'll give a shot at some golf courses on yelp. It's tough to find info on some courses here in Mobile...
This is a conveniently located course in Baldwin county, though it is confusing to find once you turn in off of 98. I seem to always take a wrong turn when I'm snaking through the nicely manicured houses along the course. I've played this course about 5 times now and I must say that it is fair and challenging. The price is right too. They offer a punch card for buy 3 and get the fourth green fee free, which is a great deal. Mobile offers some very affordable quality golf. That's me coming from Scottsdale where $80 is pretty average.
There is a nice mix of large and small greens and the course is maintained nicely. You should ask if they are over seeding or aerating because their policy is not to tell you (pretty standard for most places). I guess it was in November when they were doing both and I wasn't happy with the conditions. You can not drive on the fairway at all during these times which makes the course inaccessible. You might as well carry your clubs. I would recommend staying away during over-seeding, though they'll let you play. I don't recall if it was even discounted.
There is no GPS nor do they offer yardage books (that I saw). I'm not going to pay for one. The greens do have 4 pin placements so make sure you get that information before heading out. They have a full practice facility, though you have to pay for range balls. No complimentary balls here.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
