Robert W Murphy, Attorney at Law

I was looking for a lawyer for a car dealership that ripped me off. Although i didnt retain mr murphy, he was very helpful and informative.

He was referred by a friend. He was nice at first yet cold and serious. I appreciate that he took the time to speak to me and I appreciated the free 3 three minute consultation. I was surprised that I found him to be unfriendly, didn't listen and kept cutting me off. He did not give me the chance to FULLY EXPLAIN what it was that I was trying to do.
He let me speak yet cut me off and jumped to his conclusion which turned me off. Why? Maybe because he was wrong, I was trying to explain that I was talking about a different scenario. He didn't ask questions or give me the chance to clearly explain myself so he could understand me all because he was rushing me off the phone.

I later realized this when I went on to speak to a different attorney, the next attorney was completely different.

So It's important to clarify exactly what you need to do with the lawyer and it's even more important that the lawyer clear his mind and listens to you before he starts giving you advice. He clearly did not understand what it was that I was trying to do and he assumed too much.

I would not want to hire someone that doesn't listen to me that rushes me. That is why it is important to get a free consultation. It is an interview.

I will start off by saying that my experience with Mr. Murphy has been top notch from the start.
Mr. Murphy was very professional and informative from the get go and set the expectations for me, as everything went on he more than surpassed those expectations and will forever be thankful for his help.

Mr. Murphy was very diligent on my case, easily and quickly responded every time I had a question and got the work done! Would definitely recommend him, he was also very pleasant unlike some other lawyers I have worked with in the past

My local attorney referred me to Robert Murphy to handle a civil case against my mortgage lender. We foresaw this case growing into a class action and "thought" that Mr. Murphy was well versed in these matters. Mr. Murphy agreed to handle the case and we sent off all our documents and evidence to his Florida office. We spoke with him several times regarding the facts of the case. After many months of not hearing back from him we heard, via our local attorney, that Robert Murphy "lost interest" in the case! In the end , he wasted about a year, dragging his feet and delaying our litigation. He eventually returned all our documents. Since then, we have retained new counsel in Los Angeles and have filed our matter. In closing, our case would be over with by now if we would have originally retained a competent attorney

Mr. Murphy spent more than 30 minutes with me, a prospective client, and educated me on debt collectors. He didn't have to spend so much time doing so, but this good man did. And I commend him. I was able to write the necessary letters to credit-reporting agencies, thanks to Mr. Murphy's excellent advice. I highly recommend him and his legal services.

One of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. I saw the other reviews about how rude he is and should of listened. Started out okay, but that quickly changes. Very arrogant and rude.

Attorney Robert Murphy did an amazing and quick job saving me from myself after I had made a purchase I should not have. After realizing my mistake, I emailed many attorneys. Mr. Murphy responded quickly and was the only attorney who responded to my pleas for help. After I sent him back up paperwork he very quickly wrote an appropriately strong letter to the seller and I was let out of my deal. Within 2 days after contacting him, it was all over. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is extremely professional and to the point. He does not waste time on chit chat so I encourage anyone who contacts him to be direct, have all paperwork ready to scan or deliver to him and have questions ready. He moves quickly to resolve issues. On a related note I work for a large law firm and I have not met an attorney of his caliber in a long time. If you have a consumer related issue, I would definitely contact him for a fast evaluation.
