Only thing I have to say about this place, THEY HAVE THE BEST BBQ PORK I HAVE EVER TASTED!!!!
They rock out their chinese food, probably the best I have ever tasted.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 1, 2023
There's a stereotype among chinese takeout restaurants, where 3.5 is the sweet spot you should look for to determine if a restaurant is good. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food with cheap yet huge portions, you've stumbled across the right place. Not only does the restaurant pass the 3.5 stars test, the portions they give out are generous and the food always tastes good. Upon trying their bbq pork for the first time, I was amazed at how well it was cooked and kept thinking about how much I paid. The pork had an intense yet satisfying smokey flavor and was super tender. The orange chicken (although in recent years I've gotten tired of the dish itself) was great and way better than anything I've got in the area. I also got the pineapple shrimp, which fulfilled my craving for honey walnut shrimp (which I am a huge fan of).
In terms of the restaurant itself, the service is pretty good. The ladies working always stuff the take out boxes and are usually pretty friendly. Rising Savor has to be my top choice for cheap and filling food around the Riverside area. No other Chinese restaurant has portions this large, had their food this good, and has their prices this low.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 1 - Alejandro L.Los Angeles, CA183526Feb 19, 2024
Last night I didn't feel like cooking and decided to order from here. I wanted to help out a local restaurant instead of eating panda. That was a bad decision because today my wife and I woke up food poisoned. Don't know what it was but we both got the same symptoms right away after dinner. I don't like posting bad reviews but we have to be careful with what we eat. Never again do I eat out Chinese foood again.

Gonna be honest. Not great. Not terrible.
Cheap american-chinese food at 'the right' price.
It's exactly what you expect.
On one occasion - of many - I think they could have done a better job washing the vegetables and wound up with some 'grit' in the food in that I think should not have been there.
Service is fine.
Ambience is on par with the price.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Wanda D.Central LA, Los Angeles, CA025Mar 11, 2024
Pretty good for fast food Chinese food. Servings are plentiful! Chow mein noodles are good. My favorite are the skinny rice noodles! The Savory Chicken is great!

Heard so many good things about this place and was excited to finally go there and try it for the first time!
Everything was perfect and what you would expect from a typical Chinese take out. You know the food gonna be good when it looks slightly run down from the outside and especially if there is a line of people. The moment I walked in I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. All the options looked so good and fresh. I got half lo mein with the mixed vegetables and orange chicken, bbq pork, and pepper chicken. The owner(s) we're also very friendly and kind, felt like I was visiting family.
! Will definitely be coming back here :)Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joe W.San Marino, CA2607168Aug 12, 2021
As a student going to UCR, it's sometimes hard to find good food for a low price, but that's where Rising Savor comes in!
You're able to order a three item combo (three entrées and a base (chow mein, chow fun, rice, or fried rice) for around 8 dollars. For a fast food American-Chinese joint, their meat is juicy and always tastes fresh. (Chow Mein even tastes better than Panda's, in my opinion)
Pro tips when visiting:
UCR students get a discount, make sure to show your student ID
The line can get pretty long, especially during dinner rush, so make sure to either call ahead of time or come in early!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rebecca O.Bloomington, CA10102Aug 24, 2023
The food was so good. Orange chicken 100/10 first Chinese spot we ate at since being here in riverside and it did not disappoint. Prices were reasonable and good portions. Definitely coming back and the service was even better. So polite and quick. Thank you for your amazing service.

When I had taken this picture I had already eaten probably half of what was originally in the box. It was so yummy for pretty cheap. The cashier was extremely nice and friendly as well. :) Also the egg rolls are to die for.

This use to be my fave takeout spot portions were great and it was a good price for how much you get. They use to have to tape the plate to keep it closed. I know it's been through a few new management hands. This current one is disappointing. They want to charge for every sauce, they have watered down the hot sauce egregiously. They raised the prices of everything while giving you way less now. I get inflation.... But be consistent. I've seen them serve people before me good portions. Then when it came to me or the next guy it was like the barely any food in the plate. That happens all the time. The food taste different. The lady that serves now always says sweet and sour is for egg roll. So are you giving it to me or not? The coconut shrimp is a dollar extra.... For 9 pieces. Then when I asked a question she said I gave you a lot already. How did you give me a lot if you gave me exactly what you said is in the serving portion? The place is basic, average takeout place. The first management when I found this place years ago was about their people, the customers, workers were friendly. Now seems it's all about getting the most from the customers and giving the least,.
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2Aug 15, 2020Previous reviewThis place has seen better days. I don't know if it's some one new managing it but I just don't eat there as often. The beef broccoli is more broccoli than beef which I don't mind, I love me some broccoli. But when you only get 3 or 4 small pieces of beef it makes you go, huh? Also I ordered food once and she was literally counting how many pieces she was putting in there and that has never happened before. This was when they had all new people as well. Also, You can no longer make phone orders. Not my fave spot so much anymore.
Feb 26, 2016Previous reviewUsed to eat Canton until the food started tasting blah found this place and never went back... Soooo good! The have to use tape to close it if that's not a bang for your buck idk what is!
