Regal Oakwood

Visiting the city and wanted to see The Color Purple since it was released on Christmas. This theater was one of the ones that was closest to us.

The reason why we chose this theater is because of their seating.

They have comfy reclining chairs that allow you to have space for people to pass by without you having to get up or be touched.

When you pull up to the theater your mouth kind of hang open like an I at the right place. The outside looks dated and old. I questioned if the place was even open until I saw other cars pull up. Another patron told me the newer theater around the corner did not have comfortable seating.

The inside was clean and no weird old theater smells. The concession are was large but they only had one person working. Eventually another person showed up. I asked for pretzels and cheese. She informed me the kitchen wasn't open yet. I the asked for nachos. I thought it would be some real chips that they warned up. Nope. It was a bag of Doritos and a small container of cheese wiz. I think it cost me $8. Disappointed. The hot dog and popcorn was fine though.

I went to our theater and there is zero signage regarding which movie is in which theater. You have to look at your ticket or pay attention to the usher when he tells you where to go. We had a good time however watching the movie.

I came to this Regal because it was the only theatre within 15 miles showing a certain movie & it'd been years since I'd been to this one so I was looking forward to checking it out again. Just as I remembered, it has a sort of old-school vibe which isn't necessarily a bad thing! The main lobby is very spacious & was pretty clean during my visit. The concession stand is a bit on the smaller side which might be an issue during a busy night but there seemed to be enough registers/workers to handle a crowd if it built up.

The condiment station at the entrance to the screens didn't have any napkins stocked (not a big deal because the concession that's only a few steps away did) but it looked like everything else was there.

As far as the auditorium goes, it was well kept. They have leather recliners & your own table with a cup holder to place your snacks on top of which I thought was a cool touch. Unfortunately the screens aren't as big as some of the newer theatres but the picture & sound aren't hindered by this.

Overall, it's still a really solid theatre & I would absolutely come back if it was screening another movie that wasn't in my local ones.

Absolute chaos and disorganization. Nobody checking tickets. Huge concession lines and no order or clear instructions son which lanes open or not. Total chaos and super slow.

I had a fantastic experience at Regal Cinema in Oakwood Plaza! The theater was pleasantly quiet and had a wonderful atmosphere. The highlight for me was the popcorn - it was definitely better than what I've had at other Regal Cinemas. After my visit, I'd much rather choose this location over the Regal in Dania Pointe. Overall, a great spot for a movie night!

Came to see The Blackening - the lobby and theater was quiet and clean, also one of the more affordable theaters in the area. Ordered my ticket when I arrived along with nachos & lemonade. The seats were comfortable and reclined (which is all we care about) & the movie was entertaining. Perfect if you don't need all the bells and whistles

Had a long layover so my bf and I decided to catch a movie instead of seating in the airport for hours.

Staff are nice and the theater itself is clean and well kept.

Absolute most horrendous movie-going experience I've ever had! My friends and I went to see a movie there last night, and throughout the whole entire movie, we could hear the movie in the theater right next to ours, really loud and clear, felt the vibration from next door and everything... made it impossible to hear and enjoy our movie, which we paid for! They left the door to that theater open too, making it especially loud... I've never experienced anything like it in my life! The tickets are quite expensive for such a low scale theater... they didn't have a machine where you could order your tickets, and the line moves super slowly, with no consideration for anyone waiting to get their tickets! Needless to say... I wouldn't recommend this horrid theater to anyone... unless you want to waste your hard earned money, just to have your movie ruined!

Decided to watch the new "Scream" movie to end a long weekend with some friends. When we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff at the concession. They made our process of ordering tickets and snacks, a quick and easy process. I enjoyed how the theater had nice leather recliner seats that were spaced out. Also the seats were very comfortable and leaned very far back. The screen was clear and huge plus the sound level was at the right volume, which made our movie experience an enjoyable one. I can't wait to come back to this location to enjoy another movie.

This is an older theater so I worried about it having an outdated look and smell. However I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The theaters have been renovated and everything looks and smells great. The seats are the all new fully reclining type, the bathrooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. The snacks are fresh and yummy too. Also I received a free Thor poster for viewing on opening night. Bonus lol

Concession is the absolute slowest it's like are they doing it on purpose??? Theater was ok atleast
