Wow! And I'm usually on the LOW end of reviews!
As I commented upon checking in, this theater has not rec'd upgrades like the AMC across the street. Yea, it's kind of a trip down memory lane, back to the 80's, 90's. But I did not recently see the despicable conditions mentioned in other reviews.

However, **people** are atrocious. At a recent seating I had a deep, lung heaving cougher next to me, who munched and rattled her paper wrappings throughout. And, you guessed it; left the remains all over her seat and floor. Her hacking husband, BTW, did the same.

Because it's Oscar season I've been hitting the theaters hard. AMC is generally more "packed" than Regal; no one goes out anymore w/ streaming, etc. Nathan's dogs are not as good here, IMO, as across the street. Go figure. But, agreeing w/ other reviewers, the personnel are quite nice.

The whole area (arcade, unused ticket booth, miles of aisles & stairs, snack seating) is vacant.

The seats are not upgraded and are not comfortable. How did we stand it a decade ago? My movie partner said a speaker was out in our theater. I didn't notice.

WHY DIDNT I CHECK THE REVIEWS BEFORE COMING HERE?!?!? This was the only one showing the movie we wanted, as someone else said..... what a mistake. I would have been better to drive all the way home to Oklahoma City and see a movie but was stuck in town for work.

The entry was dismal and depressing. The 20 mile long walk to our horrid theater was flat depressing. The screen was tiny and the seats all around us were creaking the whole time. On top of that, the seats were all nasty and covered in something.

I feel like we would look around and see Pee Wee Herman setting in there if you know what I mean.

The sound was okay, everything else was incredibly bad. The decor was beyond dated and it wasnt even clean.

Wish we had save our $19!!! We can go to movies for half that in OKC and have awesome leather recliners and clean floors.....

Okay...this theater is old, run down, and in need of a serious do over. The theaters are worn and have a deep rooted smell of urine. Toss in the musty swamp cooler air and bingo you need a shower to detox your body after watching a movie here. The sound system in the theater was even in need of a do over. They must still be profitable though "as is" or one would think that a big company like Regal entertainment would remodel the place. So, if you want a swamp cooler, bad sound, urine smelling movie watching experience this is the place for you. The popcorn was good though!

This place use to be the next best theater in this area, and my fiancé and I came out for a quick date and its was the worst mistake, basically like putting our money in the shredder! The popcorn was stale and when we came to the theater the lights where on which is normal I thought oh they'll dim when the movie starts WRONG! I had to go to the front and ask them to turn them off all while missing the movie. This theater is ran by children, and if there is Management they suck at their job because that has to be a theater No No. DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK.

Theater isn't the nicest but the workers are nice and is not busy at all. Not a hard person to please and had a nice experience seeing a movie by myself.

I totally lol'd when I read Daniel B's first line in his review, "1998 called, they want their theater back" after I sat in the theatre.

I really, REALLY wanted to see The Giver and it was only showing here. Am I glad I still made the effort to see it? Well, ya. But, the place as a whole is definitely a $1 movie theatre. I assume it just can't make the necessary change since it's attached to The Promenade mall? It's pretty filthy but not in a someone just didn't vacuum kind of way - more like the carpets are 20 years old grimy that a deep steam won't fix kind of way.

There is an arcade section to the left after you get your tickets and the staff is really great. For a Friday night, it was pretty empty throughout both floors. Concessions are standard high priced bogus-ness but I fell victim because I'm prego and hungry all the time! The popcorn was decent and not greasy.

I worked at this theater as a projectionist when it was a good theater...sadly, it's not as great. The movie selection is crap. Buying the tickets at the concession is a sign that things aren't going well. And the seats are mostly broken...and not comfortable. Go to The Tulsa if you want a good theater. Go here if you have a gift card like I did and you have no other choice.
For the record, I saw "Dinner for Schmucks." It was hilarious.

      First to Review

We go to an average of three movies a month during the year, so we're well acquainted with all the theaters around Tulsa. The one we AVOID unless they have an exclusive showing (such as "Frost/Nixon" now) is the Hollywood Palace 12 at the Promenade.

Why? Well, most of the theaters are upstairs, a hike of nearly two stories and not pleasant when toting a bunch of over-priced concessions. But that's not our main complaint. Sit in any of the better located chairs in any of the screening rooms and you'll find they offer little resistance to fully tilting backwards. It is not always comfortable to watch a movie from such an angle.

Yes, we're heavier than average, but much of the movie-going population is heavy (hey, we buy those over-priced concessions and keep 'em in business!) and any real weight pushes those chairs into a bad tilt. We've politely complained about this twice in the past, but nothing has been done, so we keep taking almost all our flick business elsewhere.

Have never liked this theatre. Average service. Confusing where to buy tickets. Seats are strange.

I haven't been to this theatre in years, but it was the closest one showing the movie I wanted to see today... Now I wish I'd driven a little farther! First off, the cahier acted like I was putting her out by buying a ticket and getting consessions. She mumbled only that my screen was upstairs. It's not like there were any other customers, I wonder why? But the movie experience was even worse. The seats are uncomfortable (I moved 4 times) and the entire place was dirty and worn out. Not to mention the picture was dark and the sound compared to a drive-thru speaker.
If this is the only theatre running another movie I want to see in the future, I'll wait for the DVD. Fortunately, though, The Southroads 20 across the street almost always has what I want to watch. And I have never had a single complaint there!
