This "salon" destroyed my hair. I now look like a soccer mom from Long Island.

I have light brown hair with natural dark blonde highlights. I wanted to accentuate those highlights for the summer. I brought a picture of what I wanted to the salon to help give Liz (the person who destroyed my hair) an exact example of what I was looking for, even though any experienced stylist should immediately know what you are referring to when you explain you would like your natural highlights brightened a bit. I had to tell her my name twice and re-explain what it was I wanted done, which, hindsight being 2020, should have been the red flags telling me to hop out of the seat.

The process took four hours. I asked for several inches taken off and layered as well; I got a slight trim. After everything was complete, while my hair was still wet, she asked if I wanted it curled, which I thought might be fun as I normally wear my hair straight. Another hindsight red flag being that the reason she wanted to curl my hair was to hide the mess she made.

I went home and I could tell my boyfriend thought something was off. I asked what it was and he said he wasn't sure at the time. I waited until the next day to wash and do my hair, which is when I was noticed what he probably noticed. Instead of highlights, I had bright platinum streaks in my hair that abruptly started a few inches away from my scalp. The streaks were in clumps and looked as trashy as it sounds. You really couldn't tell while my hair was curled. I'm pretty passive, but even I was furious.

I had to wait a few days to contact the salon and called them May 30th. The receptionist Olivia cut off me while I was in the middle of explaining when I was there and what I had done to say "oh I know exactly who you are. Liz came up to me after you left Friday and asked whether or not we should contact you to come back in to fix what was done". So in other words, they had no problem accepting my several hundred dollars, including the $70 cash tip I gave Liz, and letting me walk out the door knowing full well they made a mess of my hair. I can barely remember hanging up I was so mad.

I went to the salon and spent over six additional hours in the chair watching them dye the rest of my hair in an attempt to even out and clean up the platinum streaks Liz called "highlights". Also received the hair cut I paid for but didn't receive in my initial four hour visit. As I was leaving, Liz had the audacity to stop me and say "and don't worry, the haircut is free!". Gee thanks for the "free" cut I already paid for. All this occurred on my birthday, as I refused to go to dinner with the initial mess I received from this place.

I went home and just cried. I was out several hundred dollars, my hair was\is destroyed, and my birthday plans completely ruined as it took six hours to "fix" my hair on the second visit. My hair now has an orange tint in the sunlight and of course the platinum streaks remain. My boyfriend, who has no issues defending people against imbeciles, went right over there to confront them about the fact that they didn't even offer a refund, particularly the $70 cash tip I gave Liz, after having further ruined my hair. He said Liz looked at him right in the eye and said "I didn't ruin anything... everything went as planned". Well I guess if the plan was to spend over ten hours turning your customers' hair into garbage then mission accomplished. These people are extremely trashy and you need to run not walk past this place. I'll be contacting Redken HQ about this experience.

Made an appointment. Came in for appointment four days later and waited over an hour to get my hair washed. I was the only person waiting. After it finally got washed, I waited another 45 minutes after that to get a cut. Tony cut my hair and did not do at all what I asked. Gave me a completely different cut than what I asked for. I asked for the clippers at a 4, instead he left the sides long, nor did he cut my curly hair in a manner that even remotely looked good. He did take a break to pet a dog. Oh, and it was $10 more than I was quoted when I made my appointment.

Such a disappointment. Would not recommend.

I love Olivia! She is so talented, cheerful, and fun. Her hands are so gentle and has a soft touch. While she was doing my make up I did not feel uncomfortable at all. Her conversation is so fun that I did not even realize how time flies and when i looked at the mirror everythibg was all done She always asks me how I want everything be done like, she always wanted me to be happy with the result. I think this is really important when you are in a hairdresser. I posted 2 photos from my friends wedding how Olivia made me stunning. Everyone loved my hair and makeup in the wedding. Thanks Olivia!

Absolutely love this place. From the staff to the ambiance , everything is perfect. Tony is an incredibly talented professional who always surpasses my expectations. I recommend this salon and trust them 100%!!!!!!

What to say about Tony and Leticia?! Amazing professionals and one of a kind human beings.
I have been going to Tony for 2 and a half years and never been disappointed. I have done color, Brazilian straightening, cuts, all of the above. I truly believe Tony is Edward Scissorhands relative, you get scared to see what is happening but once is done, it looks fantastic!!! Moreover, your hair grows beautifully afterwards.
I never change my color but I have seen women getting there with 5 different colors on their hair and leaving like Lady Di. Impressive!
My thing is the Brazilian straightening. I love my curls but I do the straightening twice a year to smooth the hair and take the frizz out. Tony does it just the way I like it. He even say it I ever straighten my hair completely he would never talk to me again. So he does the treatment carefully so the curls are tamed and gorgeous afterwards.
PS: Come with time! He will take his time to enhance your beauty :-) I always bring my wine.

Love. Tony always does an amazing job with my hair. I feel safe in his hands and just let him do his thing. And... I feel like his most important client while I'm in his chair. It's always fantastic!

I highly recommend Tony! I have been coming to Tony for over 5 years to cut my hair, and every time he does an amazing job! Him and his wife always take the time to discuss what hair style I want, even when I'm indecisive, and give great recommendations. And watching him cut hair is just magical. I always leave his salon feeling great. Thank you for everything Tony!

Do not go here! Worst hair salon I've ever been to hands down. I asked for a 1 inch trim and the guy Tony started doing whatever he wanted to my hair and trimmed 3-4 inches making it uneven on both sides. They then proceeded to use a flat iron which I didn't ask for, and charged me more at the end. My hair looks horrible and one side is longer than the other. I now have to get my hair fixed at a different salon because I would never let them go near my hair again. Once again, stray away!!!!

Three hours before my scheduled appointment, the stylist calls me to confirm it and requests that I show up earlier than my scheduled time. I can't leave work earlier, so I called to speak to a manager about the timing - definitely put into a crunch over the request. Olivia was so terribly rude and condescending about it that I cannot comprehend how this salon keeps customers if this is how they define customer service.

My colorist/stylist, Anastasia, recently moved to this salon and I can now say I love both my stylist and my salon. I've only been there once thus far, but the staff were so genuinely friendly! Anastasia is an expert colorist who always does a spectacular job on either color or highlights. Anytime I try to save money and do my own, I regret it because she's just too good to compare! She also gives great haircuts. Highly recommend the salon and Anastasia.
