Just fyi- Spent $80 on 3 burgers/fries/fountain drink combos.
Kinda bonkis.
Service and ambiance were good.

We often come to this RR as the one on Powers is always crowded and has a wait. We generally come around 3:00-4:00 on weekends and is usually not busy. People have complained about being short staffed and that seems to be true although we have never had to wait too long. The servers at this location work really hard and do their best.
What I love about RR is their attentiveness to allergies. Their kiosk on the table lets you input your allergies and then you put what menu item you want and it lets you know if it meets the requirements for your allergies and what you should swap out. I was delighted to see they have two vegan options for burgers and you can get a gluten free bun if you ask for that.
Our fries at times have been on the skimpier side but honestly, I've seen them have to throw away baskets of fries because people decided they were too full. People are complaining about prices and this is a business so they need to limit things somewhere to reduce unnecessary costs. You can always ask for more fries and usually that is offered to us once our basket is clear.

8 Aug 23 - five is us went to lunch at this Red Robin yesterday and our waitress Raelyn did a great job taking care of. Tuesdays their burgers are cheaper and you can get as many French fries as you want. We were seated right away and there were several people celebrating their birthdays. You get a free burger and sundae for your birthday and they sing Happy Birthday at your table. My turkey burger was delicious but I did not care for their coleslaw because I like it a little sweeter. Our food came fast and everyone was happy with their meal. Some ordered the burgers without bread and another ordered a veggie burger that also looked delicious with a salad. We really enjoyed our lunch and will probably go again on a Tuesday for lunch.

Oct 15, 2022Previous review13 Oct 22 - had a early dinner and were offered a table in the bar. We did not know we could have sat in the regular area because we were not given a choice. My husband and I thought we were going to have a nice quiet dinner but we were wrong because there were two obnoxious loud guys talking, one sitting behind our table to another one sitting at the bar. My husband ordered his favorite the Royal Cheeseburger with a chocolate shake, I got the freckled lemonade with the Ensenada Chicken Platter and garlic French fries. Our waiter Josh was great but when we got home I noticed that they had charged us $4.99 for a freckled lemonade we did not have. We should have only been charged for one freckled lemonade. The chicken breast were over cooked and I did not care for all the sauces they put on
top of them which made them spicy and both of the chicken breast were small. My husband said his Royal Cheeseburger was great! From now on we plan to check our receipt whenever we go out to dinner.Sep 28, 2021Previous review28 Sep 21 - had a early dinner with my husband at Red Robin. Last time we had their burgers we had them delivered. There was no one at the desk to seat us so we walked in and told a waiter, Brandon and he seated us. He also took our drink orders and brought us menus. When he brought my husband his chocolate shake and waters he took our order. I got the big double Haystack Burger with French fries and my husband got the Royal Red Robin Burger with French fries. He also asked my husband if he wanted more fries and brought him another order of fries that were fresh and hot. Brandon was very pleasant and even though he had several tables he was taking care of he was fast and gave us excellent service. Our burgers were delicious and our French fries were fresh! Plan to go back more often and use my Red Robin card.
Mar 20, 2019Previous review20 Mar 19 had a early dinner with my husband and tried their strawberry smoothie for the first time and loved it. For the appetizer we had the half order of onion rings. My husband had the monster burger and I had the turkey whisky burger with a side salad. My husband could not finish his monster burger and I had a hard time finishing my turkey burger. Both our burgers were excellent and we like this Red Robin because we know the manager and like the way she checks on her customers to make sure they are satisfied with their meals.
Sep 18, 2018Previous reviewWent with some friends today for lunch because it was Burger Day. Red Robin was offering $5.00 Gourmet Cheeseburgers when you ordered a drink. You could chose the bread, cheese, etc. Ordered mine medium with everything and not only was it delicious but I was able to get it with coleslaw instead of French fries.

We have eaten there many times, over the last year the food quality has gone down. We just had dinner there this evening. The food was not good. And have decided not to return. Even simple things like onion strings. We both ordered whiskey river BBQ burgers. The onion strings were the left over crumbs, I sent mine back since there were no onion strings there.

One of the better run RR stores! Good friendly service. Hot fresh bottomless fries! Coke products and full bar. Both had two different chicken sandwiches - both good. Mgt came buy several times to check on us.

Jul 26, 2020Previous reviewGreat time inside with great burgers and plenty of crispy fries. Staff working hard meeting cover requirements. Used call ahead seating which helped a bit. Our birthday celebration for our son and RR staff made it enjoyable.
Dec 22, 2019Previous reviewFolks, rating is due to our lack of interest in Red Robin and their "new style" of operation. We use to come to RR on Sundays as a family treat for over 30 years. We'd have that big basket of fries with great chicken or burger sandwiches. Now we get skimpy servings of fries - YES, bottomless but you have to continue to ask for more.... Prices have risen through the roof. Each "new" menu means higher prices. Now we are seeing pizza too. Are we a Pizza Hut? A table Kiosk to take and pay for your order or play games. What happen to the kids crayons and coloring sheets? Today the two of us had two simple chicken sandwiches and one coke for $30.00. Food was good, fires skimpy and a great coke with OK service by Chris.

After a day of sight-seeing on Monday, my family and I were hungry and looking forward to a delicious early dinner. We arrived here around 4pm, and were seated right away. Our server Brandon promptly came over to take our drink and appetizer order. We chose not to order any appetizers, but went ahead and ordered our drinks and my son's kids' meal. Our server said he would give us a couple of minutes to look at the menu and come back. Well, little did we know, those couple of minutes was going to turn into a 25-minute wait just to place our initial order. Our server kept walking back and forth looking at our table but not stopping to take our order. My son's kids' pizza came out in about in 10 minutes, but my daughter and I had to wait, and wait, and wait. When Brandon finally came to take our order, he looked overwhelmed and hurried. I ordered the Veggie Burger, and my daughter ordered the Mushroom Burger. At this point, we were past hangry, so we asked him to send out a basket of fries so we could at least have something to eat while we waited for our food. As we waited for our fries, we looked around, no one in our area had food on their tables, and everyone looked frustrated. My daughter and I ended up counting the tables that Brandon was serving and we counted 8 tables. While we continued to wait for our food, they sat two additional tables in Brandon's section. This gave him a total of 10 tables to serve, no wonder it took so long for him to come back to take our order. Our basket of fries arrived at the table in about 5 minutes, but it was such a small portion between two hungry people, they gave us about 7 fries. My daughter and I split them as we continued to wait for our entrees.
Almost a full hour after we were seated, our food finally arrived at the table. My Veggie Burger was lukewarm, and my daughter's Mushroom Swiss Burger was also warm, and both of our fries were cold. We were both so hungry that we just ate them as is. I complained about the slow service to the woman who came to deliver the food to our table, and she told me that they only had a total of 3 servers working at that time. I told her I was frustrated and asked her why they didn't turn people away at the door and focus on the customers that they already had sitting at the tables so they could give proper service to those that were here first. She was kind and empathetic about my frustration. Sadly, the Manager never came over to my table to follow up with me.
In the end, our server only came back to our table once after we received our food to collect my son's plate, and the empty fry basket. He never asked if everything was ok, if we wanted dessert, if we needed to-go boxes, thanked us for coming, apologize about the wait, or instruct us how to pay... Just nothing! Lucky for me, I already knew how to use the kiosk, so I paid for our food, left a review on the kiosk, and we got up and left. The entire experience was frustrating and left us feeling unsatisfied.
Overall, I just feel it's very greedy to continue to seat new customers when you only have 3 servers in the entire building working. For a server to have over 10 tables to serve, there is absolutely no way those servers can be attentive and give good service to each table, it only leaves the server overworked and overwhelmed, and the customers waiting feeling frustrated, and neglected.
I really hope for this location's sake that this was an isolated event, and that maybe we just came on an off day.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Business owner information

This Colorado Springs location needs to train the other locations!!! Love Red Robin but it has gone way down hill in Denver!!! Please let this Academy location train your other local stores!!! From the drinks, to the fries, to the staff, to the temperature, service with a smile, the overall attentiveness... these guys need awards compared to your other stores!!!

Such a fun night out with some family! You can only call ahead 30 minutes and we got in right away with a group of 8. Our waitress Kylie was really nice and was able to get our drink orders and food in quickly! We sat by a window and it was a little cold. Don't forget a jacket! Definitely would go back!

Their recent changes to the burgers is great. It is obviously still a RR burger but the burger flavor is so much better. I feel like this is a return to what made me a fan back in the day.
