Things have really changed for this establishment. I used to bring my grandmother almost every other month before the pandemic and hands down service was always impeccable and the establishment clean...
But now I have no idea what happened. Me and my grandmother went in for my bday recently, and it smelled like the carpet hadn't been cleaned since the building was built. Table was dirty and just yuck with silverware as well. Now the food, eh! The salad not good, my lobster tail and shrimp was subpar to say the least.

We stopped by Red Lobster Saturday to take my dad out for lunch. The restaurant was not busy. I noticed the lobster tank had two dead lobsters. It was obvious they were dead.
We were seated, menus given and drinks were quickly served. My dad ordered salmon and fried shrimp. Hubs ordered broiled bay scallops and fried clam strips. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder as the dead lobsters in the tank made my appetite disappear. After our food was placed on the table, an employee was loudly talking about the two dead lobsters in the tank. Apparently she was removing them and loudly apologizing. My clam chowder had so much butter or margarine floating on the top and coupled with the disruptive lobster removal I couldn't eat the clam chowder. My husband ate most of the clam chowder as it was too greasy for my palate. I nibbled on broiled bay scallops and fried clam strips which were good.
Our waiter was great. He was a step ahead of us and helped with to go packing. The ambiance wasn't good. For me the clam chowder was 1/5. Way too much grease for me. My dad liked his food and so did my husband.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Oct 2, 2020Previous reviewWe went to Red Lobster during lunch for takeout. All three of us ordered the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake. There were four mussels that didn't open. I would rather the restaurant remove mussels that do not open because I know they should not be eaten. They shouldn't sit in sauce either in my opinion. The last time we ate this same meal we had a salad to accompany and today no salad. For over $91 we should have been given salads with our meals. The mini lobster tails were over cooked. The shrimp was tasty said my two companions. The bay scallops are not as good as the sea scallops that came with the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake last time. Less quality ingredients and higher prices is how I see the bottom line. The food wasn't phenomenal. It was ok.

My God! This was the worst food that I have had. My fries were raw but swimming in grease. The shrimp was decent but the fried lobster bites had an aftertaste that I have yet to put my finger on. The sangria was good and the crap dip when hot was good. The wait staff was friendly and nice. We paid $116 for terrible food that was almost inedible. The jalapeño butter was insanely bad. I don't know but we just learned an experience lesson. Do not eat here.

It took forever, but I understood that because they were short handed. What came next was unexceptable. I ordered the crab your way and it was everything but my way. It supposed to have garlic butter and crispy potatoes of which they had neither. I had to ask what had happened with my order, and that's when I was told they were out. I asked if any part of my meal would be discounted, and then I was offered something else in the middle of my meal. Who does that? This place has gone so far down hill, till the top is nowhere in sight.

We've been here several times and I've never left a review. From the time we walk in the door we are greeted with friendly faces and smiles. The staff is always so friendly. Our server today was Toddric, he was so super nice and everything was brought out correct and in a timely manner and was delish as always!

Went to lunch there on 05/18/23. The place was vacant and we were told there would be a wait. Ordered clam chowder as an appetizer. After 20 minutes, the waitress advised that they were out. This should have been the first red flag. The second red flag should've been the men's room. It was a horror show. The floor was covered in a "fluid" and the single soap dispenser was empty. I don't like thinking about that.
The food finally arrived after 70 minutes. It wasn't bad, but certainly not worth the wait. Some side items were missing, but the server quickly remedied that.

Had bad experience here about three years ago. Thought I'd try again. NOPE! ...Cold. 1:00 PM. The place was uncomfortably COLD. Host was wearing a parka. The walk around manager/greeter/table conversation interrupter shrugged it off. "Yeh, lots of people say that. Corporate in different part of the country sets thermostat. I can't do anything about it."
The server was prompt and pleasant. After selecting from the pricy menu--looong after--we were told only one of the four sides we had selected was available.
After another long wait, we're told the order had to be redone because it was poorly cooked and not presentable. So near an hour of waiting, we got the order. I have never had worse baked(?) trout. Dry, overcooked and near tasteless. Still trying to forget the sides.

Horrible! We were forewarned that they only had three servers, we only stayed because my daughter wanted crab legs for her birthday (I know there are better places). Ordered a bar drink - asked about it three times, it finally arrived after the food was delivered and only after asking again. Crab legs were overcooked and rubbery. They did not provide the shell crackers or small forks- said they did not have any. Other meals were missing sides and condiments. The server said she would check on the sides. When she finally returned I had finished my meal, she said they were out of the side the meal was supposed to come with, would I like any thing else- I declined. I don't know if it was a lack of training or incompetence but it was one of the worst experiences with a server I have ever had. No check up on us by the manager. This was the second chance, we will not be back, not sure how this place is still in business.

I don't know why this restaurant is still up and running. I'm a door dasher so I come here often to pick up orders. Every time I come there's no people. There's barely any servers. There's never someone to assist anyone up front. If they see you they dismiss you. They always take forever to attend people and when they do they take forever to bring the food to you even though they have no customers so I don't know why the food wouldn't be ready when I need to pick up, if they never have customers.? I wish I could give this place a negative star review.

Visited today, silverware was dirty. Not just a little. It looked like it was taken straight off someone's plate and wrapped back up. Ordered bake potato. The server brought meal with mashed potatoes. Her reply was " they substituted mash potatoes because they are still waiting on the baked potatoes to get soft. That's ok isn't it?" Today was horrible experience from beginning to end. Will not be back.
