Its a shame whats happened to colorado springs real estate. One company has the majority of the listings and its close to being a monoply. Agents dont return calls, cancel showings and seem to have an I couldnt care less attitude. The market here is red hot but that will change, it always does. Hopefully someone will provide some meaningfull compition. It is sorely needed.

If I could give negative stars I would. This team of agents is awful. We were the ones with the home to rent. We were charged to train the tenant how to use the gas fire place and the AC thermostat. The tenant broke the freezer and I was given the bill to pay myself for the broken freezer. They said that it home was cleaned after the tenant moved out, but there was dog hair and feminine products left in the bath tub and bath room cabinets. The tenant smoked in the garage which was a violation of the lease and Jennette Dufresne did nothing to correct the terrible smell or broken lease terms. NEVER again would I use this team or company. RUN AWAY! Don't use them.

The worst ever, do not use this agent. I used Ann Heiring of Re/max Advantage to sell my house and buy a new one. The sale of my house went ok but she didn't tell me when the inspection was scheduled and I was in my garage when a guy walked up and said he was there to inspect the sewer line then another guy showed up and said he was there to inspect the house then the buyers and their agent showed up. After a few phone calls and her insistence that she had told me, we all agreed they could proceed.

I moved out of state and wasn't able to stay so I called Ann and asked for her help buying a new house back in CO - what a mistake. I told her I wanted to downsize and didn't want stairs or a big yard and definitely not a fixer upper and that's exactly what she sold me. She didn't give me comps and I asked for them and the house was overpriced but she had no explanation. She insisted I offer full price or else "I wouldn't get it". The closing papers were missing the seller credit for the deck repair so she said 'well let's just deduct it from the sale price' which ended up causing problems later. The title insurance is for less than I really paid for the house and the county records say I paid less than I did.

I arrived in town the day before closing and wanted to do a walk thru since I'd only see pictures online and as soon as I saw it I knew it wasn't the house for me. Everywhere I looked there was something that needed fixed. The inspection report said the deck wasn't up to code and the sellers got a bid to have it repaired. Ann should have gotten another bid from a licensed contractor but she didn't. She had recommended a handyman and I had him look at it and he gave me a bid to replace it. I found out later he's not licensed and can't pull a permit which is required and now it's going to cost me twice as much to get it replaced.
there is no AC and it gets very hot in the summer
there was a giant tree stump in the front yard, very unsightly
the garage door was the original from 1967 and there were many gaps where it didn't seal against the driveway due to concrete shifting and wear
the driveway had many cracks and uneven areas where it had shifted
the front porch showed signs of ground shifting and the sellers had propped cement blocks to hide it
the main bathroom had been painted very blue, walls and ceiling and it had the original 1967 vanity and countertop and when I opened a drawer a nasty smell was everywhere
the stove top had several big scratches and a big dent
it looked like the sellers had done a last minute cheap paint job everywhere including brown paint on the ceilings
two bedroom closets had been modified leaving big areas of damaged drywall
the bedrooms and living room have the ugliest old carpet I've ever seen
The day of closing I texted Ann and said I didn't want the house. She told me I'd lose my $3500 earnest money and the sellers weren't obligated to fix everything as long as it worked as it was. I was in an expensive hotel room with a dog and 2 cats and had to be back at work in a couple days and had no choice but to go through with the sale. The neighbor told me the seller would have taken a lot less for the house. I've spent thousands to fix what Ann should have asked the sellers to fix and there's no end in sight. Every time I talked to Ann she got very defensive and acted like I was the problem, why was I unhappy with this crappy over priced house she sold me. She pointed out that she had paid $120 for the sewer inspection but since she made well over $20K from me in 4 months I wasn't impressed. I'll have to stay here for many years to break even when I sell it which wasn't the plan. Lesson learned, never buy a house sight unseen because the agent's priority is how high the commission will be for her.

I do not know where to start. Ann Heiring, Realtor who works at this location is absolutely the best... For a 1st time home buyer, she walked me through every single step of the home buying process. From the numerous meeting times, answering all my questions to the "T", answering all the emails and texts within an hour or less and sooo much more I can't even write it all down... We went over everything that was happening at every single point of the process, I just can't say enough about her and Re/Max... Thank you Ann for all the hard work and long hours with me. The American Dream is still alive!!! HOOOAH Army Strong!!

Beware of any real estate group that will not do a final walk through upon move out with you and then come back with bogus claims, especially when they did not come out and fix everything while you rented.

Best staff in town, they are so accommodating and always so sweet. I have worked with them for years and have never had a bad experience with anyone there. The owner is very intelligent and respectful, it's no wonder he's been highly respected in the industry for 35 years!!!!

Sold my home back in November and these clowns tried to get me to accept a $400,000 offer, I refused and stuck to $415,000 and my offer was accepted immediately. If I would have listened to my agent, I would been have screwed out of $15,000 by these idiots!

In regards to Jeannette Dufresne and her team, we rented a home during our station in fort Carson, lived in the property for 4 years, we followed the terms of the lease and pride our selves in leaving our homes in better state than when we moved in, when time came to move to a new location, we kept to the lease and followed instructions, we went as far as hiring the one cleaning person they had to detail the house when we moved out and paid her $250, weeds were pulled, lawn was mowed and carpets were pet treated. On multiple occasions we requested a final walk through and were denied the request. Our deposit of 1,500 was withheld for 60 days and we were refunded around 800 stating that the lawn was 2 feet tall, that there were urine stains on the carpet and were charged the installation of new carpets, they also billed us for the last water bill which we had already payed and cleaning of the property again, the also charged us for mowing and weeding which as I stated was done in the form of $220, in short we were billed $661.95 for issues that were taken care of at the time we vacated the property. My favorite part was when they threatened to bill us to replace the lock on the mailbox because they could not figure out which one is was. We had never had any issues with our rentals in the past This along with other issues along the 4 years we rented this property from Re/max makes us feel they are shady and not to be trusted. I would not recommend Mrs Dufresne to anyone. I will post pictures of the property the day after the carpets were cleaned. Just a note the bill from the lawn company stated that is was 2 feet tall..... Do not trust this property manager.

NEGATIVE stars if I could for the property management team! Nothing ever fixed during rental period! Charged for damages that were pre-existing upon moving out. They were even in writing on my pre move in paperwork. Took almost 2 months to receive the VERY small deposit back after fictitious invoices of charges incurred on the property almost 3 weeks after leaving said property. Then when I tried to communicate my concerns and sent my documentation, more invoices of charges were sent to me! Absolutely the worst property management company I have EVER dealt with!
