This store is not what it used to be.
Went into the store looking for some work out stuff. What I have learned is to always take a picture of the price that it states on the shelf.
So waited in a long line to pay for the item. They have 8 cash registers but only 2 were open with lots of people waiting in line to pay.
Got to the register and the lady working did not greet us but just rang us open and yes the item rang up at the wrong price.
I pulled up the picture of the price on my phone and asked her to correct the price on the register.
She started to call an employee telling them to pull the price.
Guess what the price was $5.00 more at the register then it was at the shelf.
Please Academy do better .

Just got out of the academy and thought I'd review this place.

Locally grown yet massive chain that is all over Texas and can have some really good prices on Sneakers. This location though is far from our fave and has lots of issues... stock issues, and especially employee issues that take away from our desire to return.

I'm still down with this store though - in general.

This employee didn't notice me waiting to be the next customer at the designated spot because SHE WAS ON HER PHONE!

Tried to make complaint on worker in Sugar Land, Tx store. Did not get cashier name because she never tuen around to wait on us. We stood waiting to purchase a pair of Oakley's shades and the worker sit there talking to over 20 minutes not even recognizing us there. I finally got tired of waiting and told her can she call someone else over to wait on us? She got smart saying she helping another customer. I told her know y'all just chatting. I told my husband let's go we can spend our money else where. Called to make complaint the lady told me I couldn't make a complaint without her name. Called back to store to get her name was transferred twice and the was disconnected. Was not able to make complaint on the service.

i tried to look at a pair of sunglasses on wednesday the 13 th of september , the young manager mumbled something on his radio for someone to come up to the show case , no one showed for 5 to 10 minutes but yet there were cashiers everywhere just standing around . i turned and walked out and told him a guess you didnt want to sell a $300.00 pair of sunglasses . i went to the rosenberg academy got waited on immediately ans spent $297.00 on a pair of sunglasses. i have spent thousands of dollars at that academy in sugarland over the years , i will never go back , i hope they go out of business , because of their shitty customer service . none of them give a rats ass . they know they are getting paid anyway !!!

I came here a couple of times for bicycles and accessories few years ago. I prefer this store because it's nicest among other stores around me. I'd rather drive extra miles just to come here.

It's really convenient off of Freeway 59 with a huge parking lot. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They open longer hour last Fourth of July as I bought a quad chair to sit and watch atop of the Town Square garage. The person helped me went out of her way to find a ladder to retrieve the chair.

Recently, I was a little disappointed with the "Black Friday sales" on a plaid shirt $9.99 originally priced at $12.99. I bought it anyway. Because I like the quality. This bright store gave me good feelings and ideas to be more fit.

Went looking to buy my kiddo a bicycle. The selection was a bit limited, for an 8 y.o., so we chose to check options at other stores.

Clean store, helpful people, and good selection of most items.

I've been there, I always get what I want. Sometimes I have to chase down an employee. There has been instances that I haven't had to.
It is very disheartening to do someone else's job.
This is like ( because they don't and always come up with a stupid excuse ) want to do their job, this becomes your problem.

Super nice people doing minimum wage jobs. The people in this store can't make a lot of money, but they do it with a smile. As I walked around the store looking for a poncho, several employees asked if I needed help. Everywhere I looked I saw employees tidying the store, making everything neat and orderly. I asked one of the nice employees if it was ok for me to take a poncho out and try it on. He smiled genuinely and said "of course".

I found a variety of ponchos and found just what I was looking for. My husband also likes this store. He often finds his swim trunks here as well as good work pants.

We will definitely be back over and over for our outdoorsy supplies!

It would be awesome if you answered your phone, but after 15 minutes on hold it seems that you only use your phones for an endless loop of advertising. Every few minutes a new person would pick up who could never help me.

Worst customer service EVER.
