What is the wait like on Friday evening?
A:
It depends if there's an event going on around the area. If no specific event, there should be little or no wait.

Do you have outside dining area?
A:
Yes, there are a couple tables outside. Nothing too extensive.

My expectations were not too high simply based on geographical location (FL, and near the beach), but man was I wrong! The Mac and cheese had some extra savor with maybe pepper in it which I really enjoyed, the coleslaw was fresh, and the pulled pork was really good. My favorite BBQ sauce there was the original. We saw that on Fridays burnt ends are available for purchase after 5pm, but they had been sold out by the time we arrived around 8 or 9pm. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly despite being very obviously busy.

The BEST Beef rib available only on Saturday is a trip worth taking out to "Lauderdale by the Sea" - LBTS. Side dishes are good, but hands down the Beef rib is the King. Service is good & laidback. Ambiance is casual. Enjoy this hidden gem.

Must pay for parking to eat in peace from the rabid meter maids. They have some gushing reviews about their Pastrami sandwich ? "Better than Kat's"
Deli NYC, is a bold claim, but having eaten Katz's in NYC & local Blue Willys Thursday only sandwich. I thought I give it a try.
Good mix of music, classic, rock & country, with some oddly thrown in disco? Slowish about 5 people on a Friday afternoon, service was also slow. They push the beer, put not wanting to drink so early, I ask for diet soda, can only about $2 - Order the Smoked Pastrami on Texas Toast style Rye. The sandwich which was rather small & meat measured out for $12 not the best value, especially that it comes No sides. Sandwich only, you can get some sliced pickles (good) at condiment/ Bbq sauce station. The meat was of good quality & smoked, not too fatty. IMO I found the meat more spicy, than truly flavorful. Very little spicy mustard was on the sandwich. I tried the mustard & house sweet, both just ok, kind of bland. No a bad bbq spot, decor is very contrive, like a million other wanna be spot to look like it bbq from backwoods, "shabby chic". They look to have a special beef rib, sold on Saturday only after 4pm, stay tuned for further review, but for now - rating okish.
I have returned the following day to try this Saturday only Beef Rib. Ordered the rib only , no sides & soda . About $20. The rib was big for a single rib, but not so much that you can't eat it.
The rub & outside char was nice, using a fork & knife cutting into the beef rib, found areas that were fatty. Biting into the rib, the flavor was so beefy, so rich & wonderful. The rib was something special.
I enjoyed this Beef Rib & recommend it. The nice bone taken to my dogs was also a hit!Dec 5, 2016Previous reviewSmoke BBQ second location in Ft Lauderdale, in side strip mall next to Walgreens on Oakland & A1A , now where hip or cool like the other location in Delray on E. Atlantic Ave.

Feb 16, 2022Previous reviewStopped for a quick lunch and got the beef brisket sandwich. It was a nice and tender meat sandwich.....the brisket was flavorful and well seasoned.
The restaurant slow-smokes their USDA Prime Angus Beef Brisket to the point of being just perfect. The sandwich comes with chips. A nice cold IPA completed the meal.
This place is usually packed, next time I will try their ribs and some other BBQ.
Seating inside and outside. Many of the items are sold until they are gone...so you know most of the stuff is freshly made every day. - Dec 9, 2022
They had me at the jalapeno cheddar sausage but really brought it home with the creamy mac and cheese. Or was it those ribs or pulled pork?? The cornbread? Ah decisions . . .decisions!
The idea that BBQ catered food could come on time, still be hot and delicious and please this non BBQ lovin gal was amazing to me. I was going to cater in cold sandwiches and salads, my regular lunch go to, but when my client requested BBQ I had to do some research as I really don't eat it very often excluding 4th of July picnics.
Yelp to the rescue as I looked for places others would choose. Online ordering was simple. The only hiccup was I didn't get an online confirmation like they said I would so I did end up calling the day before just to make sure someone had it on their radar and they did. And be sure to add in plates and tongs and other serving utensils if you need them. Easy enough to do and you aren't running around the office kitchen looking for utensils!
I ordered the dinner suggestion of your choice of 4 meats and 3 sides and had ribs, pulled pork, that amazing sausage, and chicken along with mac and cheese, chips and coleslaw. Wanted tator tots but figured the chips would travel better. And that cornbread with that sweet butter? I think I died and went to heaven.
All in all this was one pretty tasty meal and my client loved it. Heck, I might just be off of salads for lunch forever!Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1 - Sep 26, 2022
I enjoyed everything about Smoke BBQ from the smells of the smoked meats, the sweet tea and the pleasant customer service.
I ordered the 2 meat combo with chicken and pastrami. The order comes with 2 sides & cornbread. I ordered the steamed vegetables and macaroni & cheese for my sides. I haven't had smoked pastrami before so this was a special treat. The spicy mustard sauce paired perfectly with the pastrami which was tender and juicy. The chicken had a nicely charred crust and was delicious. The mac n' cheese was creamy and cheesy and the steamed broccoli had a great garlic flavor.
We also ordered another combo with burnt ends and brisket. The burnt ends were marinated in some kind of teriyaki sauce or a honey soy glaze which was unexpected. It was good but I would've preferred it without all the sauce. The smoked brisket was tender and juicy.
I look forward to coming back to try some of the different menu combinations.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Lean e.FL, FL012Apr 2, 2024
One of the best bbq spots around! Great service, great attention to detail, very personable, and the food is incredible.

First time trying it out, and I'll definitely come back.
This is a good bbq spot in FtL. In my opinion, not the best, but very good. Probably the best pastrami I have tried so far in the area.
We did a little tour of the menu. Pulled pork, brisket, pastrami, baby back ribs, burnt ends, Mac and cheese, root beer beans, corn bread. The pastrami stood out above all else. The brisket was probably our least favorite thing on the menu. The burnt ends were amazing as well. The max and cheese was by far the best side. The cornbread was awesome.
They don't have fountain sodas, so you buy by the bottle. They do have water and tea as well. They have bottled beer too, if that's on your thing.
We didn't try dessert, but based on everything else, I'm sure it would be good.
Service was good. There was no line when we were there, so we were served fast and were able to easily grab a table.
The parking kinda stinks. Spots are hard to find, and they are metered.
Overall, great spot that I'll surely be back to. Check 'em outHelpful 15Thanks 1Love this 9Oh no 1 - Feb 27, 2023
Okay, coming from a woman who isn't into big chunks of meat and bbq restaurants, I must say that this place took me by surprise! I had the austin sandwich- which comes with the tastiest homemade potato chips! I took the bun offand devoured this sandwich, it was full of flavor. I also odered the jalepeno mustard potato salad that was soo good. Joel ordered ribs & cold slaw (ALL of their sides are homemade), and you could just taste the love in this food. The service was great and we'll definitely come back if we're in the area again and my husband is craving bbq.
