Great food, great service. It's refreshing to be able to get seriously spicy Thai food in NELA.

When visiting Monroe and I'm craving sushi, this is the place to go to! It seem like they expanded their menu so I ordered a few of my usual and a few that I've never had.
Appetizers, we ordered the calamari and Thai shrimp roll. The calamari was a fairly small order but whatever that dipping sauce was, it was so freaking good!! I could put that on everything. Maybe a mixture of mayo, bbq sauce, and something. Whatever it was, it was spot on. The Thai shrimp rolls were a little disappointing. Barely had any shrimp but the roll itself was golden crispy.
As for sushi, we ordered the diablo and spicy snowball roll. Both are cooked and my favorite on the menu. The spicy snowball roll consisted of spinach, cream cheese, shrimp tempura on inside with baked spicy crab mix on top.
The dynamite roll was California roll? with grilled shrimp, garlic, and crab mix on top. Another delicious and filling sushi roll. Both rolls were $8.95 each! Can't beat that price!!
My nephew and boyfriend both order pho. They enjoyed it also. Good portion size for the price.
Service here can be a hit or miss. This time, everyone was friendly and attentive!
They have two entrances so be careful which door you decide to enter. The one on the side of the restaurant is closest to the hostess. The one in the front just takes you right into the dining area so it could get confusing during rush hour as to who gets seated first.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kailey W.Pearl River, LA787090Apr 16, 2018
Absolutely love this place! The best best BEST Thai food in the area! Get the panang curry and the green papaya salad. You won't be sorry! Their shrimp spring rolls are also incredibly good with peanut sauce. I've never been disappointed by their sushi selection, in fact I just can't help but get a roll no matter what. Always so damn good!

I had the best lunch! One of the best I have had in a long time! The food was fantastic! Best house salad I've ever had from a Japanese place. And omg this tuna and salmon dishes I got were amazing. Such great flavors and thick pieces of meat! Ummm umm

Seriously, this restaurant has the most horrible service ever. It has gotten worse from my first visit to the last. Not just the servers, the mangers/owner are rude and impolite. I was given the wrong food twice. Me and my friends had to leave early because of the service. Owners and server's just don't care about the costumers. Food is better than the service.

This was the second sushi place i tried in Monroe. The sushi was poor but unlike the other place this one seems to have good noodle dishes.
Apparently there is nowhere to eat sushi in Monroe.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katherine S.Monroe, LA197Sep 24, 2018
I go to Rawz when I want a simple sushi fix.
They don't charge extra for extravagant overhead expenses because they're simple, delicious, clean, and fresh...did I mention affordable, too?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicole W.Los Angeles, CA662119Jan 20, 2020
The service alone was enough to make us NEVER come back. It was horrible.
My boyfriend and I are both servers so we are usually more understanding and patient than the typical guest however we waited *22 MINUTES* for a to go box and our check.
I can understand 5-8 minutes TOPS but 22?????
Our server either forgot about us or just didn't care enough to check on us.
We finally had to get up and tell someone we needed our check.
After we got our check, the 2 ladies pulled up a dish cart right next to us and started clearing our table and we had to awkwardly sit there and couldn't leave cause they weree cleaning ouur ttable.
They couldn't have waited 15 seconds for us to leave before clearing the entire table??????
Management needs to step it up and either hire more people to ensure that doesn't happen again or figure something out because I was just annoyed.
Won't be coming back. Service sucked and food was sub par.
I can usually look past food being sub par if the service was awesome but unfortunately we won't be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Prakriti P.French Quarter, New Orleans, LA035Mar 19, 2019
I loved this! The best part is the seasonings. Vegetables are very fresh too. It's a good option for a vegetarian.

I'm Asian and from New Orleans. I know good food. This place always fails in service but wins impeccably every time on food and flavor. Everyone who moves away after college hardly misses Monroe but almost every I know says they miss rawZ.
The food dishes here are always very flavored! I'm a huge fan of almost every dish I've tried. What makes it great is that they're very reasonably priced.
What I like:
1. I love their curry here. I've always gotten the green curry bc I don't eat spicy food (I don't substitute spice for flavor). However, I've recently tried their red curry and I think it's my new favorite. You choose your choice of meat
2. The thai basil chicken is delicious. Very flavored lean meat chicken with a bowl of rice.
3. Herbal chicken. The sauce you dip it with is delish!
4. Pad thai***** My boyfriend loves their pad Thai!! We travel a lot and eat out a lot...been to many Thai places...had a lot of pad thai... and he always craves rawz's pad Thai. Always! It's just...so good. You choose your choice of meat..he always gets beef!
Any dish you try I think would be very satisfying.
My friends get the sushi all the time. It's quite fresh but I don't really eat it here bc the entrees are just that good. There's a lot to choose from though. My friends are fiends for the tuna tower though and the Rawz roll.
Now on to the bad part... The service here is bad. It's not horrible, but it's never been good. They rush you, I guess which is understandable since the area is so small and limited. BUT, they don't need to ask every 2 minutes if I'm ready to order. The staff can't really speak English well but they try with that, it's uncomfortable bc they seem either too friendly in a pushy way or too rude in the same pushy way. Other than that, who cares about service when the food is just that good.
Rawz is like, the Asian comfort food. Get some!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
