We were in Seattle for a wedding, and this brewery was a short, lovely, walk from our place.
It has a great vibe, a very tasty selection of beers, and a helpful beertender to help your selection.
While I did manage to hit several breweries, this one was my favorite.
Bottom line: Get to the top of the hill and try this place out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 25, 2024
I've wanted to come to Ravenna Brewing for years and I was finally able to go this weekend. It way exceeded my expectations. The beer was really tasty and the inside was adorable. They really nailed the aesthetic. We opted to sit outside for some fresh air and they had so many seating options available. I'd love to check this place out on a warm, sunny day.

Nice vibe, friendly staff, great beer. We had two lagers, an ipa, and a stout. They also have a sour on.

Beer was ok, the food truck at the time we went (they rotate) was over priced. I got a porter, which tasted weirdly hoppy. But maybe that's my bad for ordering a dark beer in Seattle and not an IPA (not a big fan of IPAs, but it seems Seattle loves them). The food truck was a Native American-mex fusion. The sold a burger that was very meh and the chili fries were definitely overpriced (chilli was definitely some canned stuff). But the tacos? BOMB. They used 'fry bread) which I'm not familiar with as the tortilla and add pork and some other good taco stuff to it and it was pricey, but really good. Staff are great. They need more heaters outside. Inside is rank, no ventilation. Friendly place for family though. I still like the place with a 3/5

We came here yesterday for a private event. This was so much fun!
I love that they had so much space outside and inside-there was plenty of room to sit. While they don't provide food, they did have a taco truck right outside. They have really cool swag for sale, and their staff is really nice. They were gracious and generous-we got to try anything we requested. Here is what we had:
Coastal Groove- the passionfruit is the forefront of the flavors, but the mango and sour end makes this a delightful gose.
Cider Slushy-their cider is from Locust Cider. This was really tasty.
Ravenna Premium Lager: this lager stole my heart, and was my favorite of the day. It was very light and filling.
We loved the space and the beer!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 8184174Jul 26, 2023
My real number is 4.5 stars, because of parking and because I run warm and it always feels extra warm in here during the summer for some reason! Other than that, no complaints here. The staff is always super friendly, the selection on draft is great, especially because I love sours and they always tend to have a few on rotation! There is lots of seating both indoors and outdoors and the food trucks that they host are always delicious without hesitation. Great place to hangout, great prices, great environment, and there is weekly trivia!

Ambience: this is a classic Seattle brewery, few frills but a lot of good beer. Love the industrial but warm feel of the inside. If you're visiting on a chilly day, they have plenty of heated seats outside as well as inside. When we came there was a pretty loud, large party (not a private event/party) taking up most of the inside tap room. We went outside to enjoy our beers but seating was a little hard to find since there were so many people there.
Beer: as is the case with most places in the city, Ravenna's offerings skew towards IPAs. They do have quite a few others though; I loved their sour and winter ale, even though I don't normally like dark beers! The sour popped off.
Parking: tons of parking around the area and close to some local parks with lots of parking.
Food: food trucks are usually there but if you show up past 8pm, they might be closed (as was the case when we arrived).
Service: folks are helpful and will walk you through the menu upon asking.
Bottom line: good, IPA-focused brewery in a nice location. May be hard to get a table and you might want to bring some snacks just in case.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2023
After touring the beautiful University of Washington campus and walking through the wetlands adjacent, I was definitely ready to quench my thirst, even as the rain started again. Ravenna had been on my radar for some time and I've enjoyed exploring the University District as well. Hoping that they might have a southern hemisphere hopped beer, as that was what I was craving, and that harvest is done and ready to be brewed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had not only one, but three to choose from!! Definitely made for a taster flight. Service was great! Very knowledgeable on their beers and quick on the pours. It's always fun to watch the parade of people come in, and listen to the various questions and orders, the smile on their faces as they take their full glasses to sit down and enjoy. Which there were quite a few of, even on a rainy early Saturday afternoon. The flight of hazy southern hops I tried, were all top notch in flavors, smells, and very drinkable. Very reminiscent of some of my favorite hazies from Fieldwork in the Bay Area. Just out of curiosity and wanting to try something different, I also tried their sour, which was a watermelon/strawberry.. it also was delicious, a little stronger on the watermelon, but a solid tasting sour, well balanced. I decided on the Neighborhood Watch to take home and enjoy the 4 pack, looking forward to returning, to check out more of their tasty beers and one of the food trucks they regularly host.. Yelping on, Cheers!

We basically moved to Ravenna in order to be close to Ravenna Brewing. This is just a fantastic, no-frills brewery with a consistently impressive, rotating selection of beers. Service is always quick and friendly and you can easily find a place to sit either inside or outside under their tents.
Additionally, they have a food truck available almost every day so you can always grab a snack or a full meal! The trucks change daily so you can always try something new- we love the Greek truck!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 2, 2021
I'm so glad I gave Ravenna a second shot.
The first time I visited was around when they first opened. It was a small room, with barely anywhere to sit. Back then I wasn't wow-ed by the beer.
Fast forward to now, it is definitely one of my faves in Seattle! It really is a hidden gem!
They've expanded quite a bit, and they have a great outdoor patio!
Their beers have come a long way since they opened.
They definitely have found their knack! They've got some amazing IPAs! So juicy and flavorful!
They don't offer sample trays, but they do have shorter pours (10 oz) available, for $5. A little pricey, but the beers are great so I'm not complaining!
I love Ravenna Brewing! Great little spot North of Seattle!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
