Went there to get spontaneous sibling tattoos with my sister! The staff were so nice and kept the place open late for us. They were so clean and ensured that there was no cross contamination.
Our tattoo artist helped us come up with our design, we already knew what we wanted but he helped us perfect it. So grateful for that because we love how it turned out!!
They took 10mins for the entire tattoo which was super fast! I was nervous considering it was only my second tattoo but my tattoo artist was super warm and made me feel very comfortable.
I would definitely go back here for my next tattoo. Their prices were also pretty reasonable!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Melodie L.Vancouver, Canada02Nov 27, 2021
I did not know what to expect, because the shop looks really cool and I'm a middle-aged nerdhole. Plus the web site said appointments were hard to come by, and my tattoo idea was very simple and small, nothing for an artist to get excited about.
I dealt with Phoenixx over email, she was very prompt and kind and helpful (and patient!) She was just as good to me when we met in the shop and I was a little bit goony about my preparations.
I was booked in with Nate, he was gentle, funny and chatty (great for me, since I don't talk much) and the banter between the staff helped to distract me from the pain of the needle. If he was dismayed by the job, he gave no sign.
He did a fantastic job, and it was very reasonably priced.
I am not a person of many tattoos, but if I were, I would go to Rain City Tattoo all the time. Certainly, I'll recommend Nate and the shop in general to anyone else who's looking to have some work done.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ann Y.Vancouver, Canada251624Dec 31, 2018
My first time doing a tattoo that I had thought of for the last year or so. Of course I was super nervous & anxious how I'm gonna go through this. But my friend Maryann helped me with the arrangements (receptionist here) with Mark the tattoo artist & owner.
He's a great guy! He understood what I wanted. This is for a lifetime so with his expertise he worked on it & did justice to the picture I wanted. I'm so thrilled & happy with the outcome! I'm gonna go back for another one. Definitely recommend this place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sharleen L.Richmond, Canada3297May 6, 2019
At first I was hesitant to get my tattoo done here because my first 3 tattoos were done at Adrenaline but I'm so glad I did! I chose Trish as my artist because I really liked her work. She was very nice, patient and informative. I wanted to get this certain skull tattoo that I found online but I found out that tattoo artists can't copy right other artists (duh) because it is plagiarism which I completely understood but I could get it similar to what wanted with some changes to it (You are probably wondering how did I not know because of my previous tattoos but my first 3 were personal ones.).
On the day of my tattoo, I wasn't sure what to expect because I never got to see the design that Trish made for me. I assumed there would be some minor changes to it but when I saw her sketch work, I was a bit stunned to be honest because it looked completely different from the one I wanted but the concept of it was still there. It took some time to actually accept it but when I got to study it more closely, I really liked what Trish had made for me. Don't get me wrong, the one I wanted was gorgeous but it was a bit dark; however, the one she designed for me was cute and it suited me. I was so surprised that she had my tattoo done in 1.5 hours! She was so quick but also very good!
Near the end, I wasn't sure if I wanted to have some shading done but she suggested it would be a great idea because it would give it more depth and make it more lively. I trusted her opinion because she is a professional after all so I went for it. At the end, I expected the shading to be like a typical shading for skull tattoos but it wasn't! It was better! She gave my shading a more pixelated look which was pretty neat and unique. I love my tattoo!! Thanks Trish!
Overall, if you are looking for a good tattoo artist or if you are planning on getting your first tattoo, go see Trish!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anisa A.Lodi, CA85782423Aug 11, 2016
Sean was great. Had an old drawing, got what we wanted and even better than what we expected, while still staying true to the drawing.

I booked this tattoo ten days in advance only to have the the artist Stephanie cancel last minute. I was in town for a week and this ink was to be the highlight of the trip. Now that's ruined and there's no time to rebook as every other tattoo artist in town is booked.
Unprofessional!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amanda R.Vancouver, Canada17916Dec 19, 2014
I would give negative 10 if I could. One only because another girl who did one of my scripts did a really good job. One of the guys there was greedy and wanted to make money didn't care at all of what he was tattooing on me.
Looked nothing like what I wanted. The worst part is he made it so dark it will never come off. Covering it up will be bad I don't know what else to do unless I cover most of my back.
Pls ask them for their work before you let them put their ink on youHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sarita S.North Vancouver, Canada71May 15, 2017
I had my Tattoo done at Rain City Tattoo by Jarret. My initial experience was, I like the style of the artist I chose. He accommodated me in redrawing my dragon. The outline was great, but he wanted to make it bigger than I wanted... Ok, so I agreed. Then we agreed on colour for the body... The technique, he used two different types, one looked great, the other left black specks and the transition to the lighter blue wasn't as good as I had imagined. He said it was my skin, that the blue was like it was. Then he used brown and mustard in the tattoo, which wasn't ideal for someone with brown skin... and he also put grey colour in the eyes and wanted to do things his way with what he thought he liked, not what I wanted. It was a struggle. I kept saying it's what I want and he would say it wouldn't look good. I said it's my tattoo that's going to be on me forever!
I went back to have white put in the eyes to cover up the grey, and yellow to brighten up the mustard...it didn't take. So I waited. I don't like complaining. It just isn't me, but I sent the artist an email, asking him to fix the problems. He told me he did what I asked and that I should go somewhere else. It makes me so sad that I have to pay more to get what I want, and should have been done right in the first place.

I can't say enough good things about Trish at Rain City Tattoo! She was recommended to BF by a mutual friend for a half-sleeve he'd been dreaming up for a while. When we arrived for his appointment she was ready to rock with a beautiful drawing and proceeded to finish the whole outline in about 1.5 hours.
The shop is very clean and well organized with lots of cool, kitschy things to look at while you're getting your work done (or keeping someone company, as the case may be) and the artists were very friendly and generally helpful.
I will be back for my next piece, for sure!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
