Good food and friendly atmosphere. Make sure you not in the hurry if you planning to eat here. It's takes a while for you food to get ready even if place doesn't look busy

Do NOT let the exterior of this place keep you from walking inside. If you didn't know it had a restaurant, you might easily dismiss it as a bar and banquet hall. That would be a mistake.

Stopped over for the Friday fish fry during lent. I am basing this review on a rural bar setting. The nice thing is they have plenty of space to handle any capacity.
Started with a optional salad. Typical WI salad bar. Salad with a few options, black olives, green peppers, onion. Simple salad dressings.
I went with the perch fry. I grew up eating a lot of fresh caught perch, so I was looking to bring back a few memories. The portion was very good. The perch was very tender but was a little over breaded. Lost the nice flavor of the perch. The dinner came with a small slaw and tarter sauce. Nice options for side on the potatoes.
Good bar food fish fry if you are in the area. You will get a good portion and decent meal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Rebecca B.Boston, MA024Mar 22, 2019
We stopped at Lisa's for fish fry and were very impressed with the food. I had grilled haddock and my husband had beer-battered haddock. The grilled fish was seasoned and tender and my husband said the beer-battered fish was flaky, light, and delicious. They had a lot of potato options and the coleslaw was fresh and tasty. The service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back.

I believe that leaving a detailed review allows a restaurant to improve (if they care). Our family went on a Sunday around 5 pm for their broasted chicken that comes with soup & salad bar on Sundays. It was our first time eating here. When we pulled up, we had no idea where to go. There were about 4 doors facing the road and none of them said restaurant or entrance. We guessed and went in what seemed like the entrance but again we were not met with anything to indicate which way to go, not even a seat yourself sign. There were people dancing in one room and the other room had one table with about a dozen people around and no wait staff in sight. We weren't sure if it was the dining room proper or if these people had this room for themselves. Finally the waitress came through and we asked where we should go. She said just take a table. She got our drinks and then took orders from the other table but didn't come back for our order for at least 15 minutes. She could have taken our order to get the food started and then gone off to do what she needed, we were the only other table there (or was she taking orders in the bar?). The dining room wasn't very inviting, it looked more like a cafeteria. A little paint and decorating would go a long way. The salad bar was nice and fresh. The soup might have been good but after seeing the person before us put the lid of the pot face down on the dirty table, we decided against trying it. They need a bigger table and a place to put the lid when accessing the soup. As to the food; my husband really liked the broasted chicken. It was tender and juicy. I personally thought the skin tasted overdone and unpleasant. He got mashed potatoes and gravy and dressing which he said was "ok". I got the garlic mashed potatoes which were divine. None of us were tempted by the dinner roll. I suggest they ask people if they want one so it doesn't go to waste (like the Loading Zone does for their bread). The coleslaw was not creamy like we like it but that is a personal preference so I cannot knock it. My daughter had chicken strips and french fries that were very good. Her only complaint was she didn't like the dipping sauce. A choice of sauce would have been nice.
Their prices were good, the quantity was good (helped to have the salad bar), the taste was good but not great. The entrance & dining room were not at all inviting. I don't know if I would go back, maybe I would to try something else. Unfortunately no one is beating down their door to get in. No one else came while we were there. We have had their catered food and that was very good. Maybe the atmosphere counts for more than you think.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David D.De Pere, WI05May 7, 2016
The best prime rib since Sky Club East. Saturday is also old fashion drink special. Try a Jack Daniels Fire old fashion with mushrooms and a 14 ounce prime rib and you will be living life like the wealthy.

Ate here today with two Warrior Hikers with Warrior Expeditions. Got the two-piece fish fry for 9.99. Huge pieces of hand-battered fish, homemade slaw with a special touch of fresh cucumber, and the best warm German potato salad I've ever had. Portions were large and service was excellent. Would eat there again and again!

This restaurant is currently operating as Lisa's Lakeside.
Previous to dining here we were told we needed to make a reservation, since we had a party of twelve we didn't think this unusual. We arrived to find an icy and fairly slippery parking lot, My Mother is in her 80's and this was a needless pre dining obstacle. The closer entrance was ramp and rail equipped but closed for a private function (we could see this entrance from our table, no private function and employees were exiting through door, so we know it was usable) .
As we were seated we were asked if we wanted something to drink, we asked for coffee and after 5 min. were brought cups..... only cups.
The service was horrible. Our waitress had no clue what we wanted, its like she hadn't even looked at the menu before. we had to point and read it out loud, and even then she couldn't get the sides straight
The food was pretty good. A little pricey but not unreasonable. I'd eat there again if not for the lack of concern about their customers comfort or dining experienceHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
