We used RMJ to do a complete overhaul/refresh of our landscape and hardscape, and I wholeheartedly would recommend RMJ and Adam Matz.
Adam brought to the project numerous creative ideas to both the hardscape & landscape and he was extremely flexible in making changes to the plan along the way. The work was performed in a timely manner and within budget. The most important thing is that the finished project was fantastic; exactly what we wanted and beautifully executed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - K C.Poway, CA0131Nov 13, 2017First to Review
I have no idea how well these guys do their job. What I do know is that they have no problem violating the city's noise ordinance to make an extra buck. That makes them not good community members.
Operating a jackhammer in a residential neighborhood at 7 a.m. may be technically legal, but it's not cool. Add to that, that a jackhammer typically operates at 130 decibels, and the noise ordinance in Poway specifies that you can run construction equipment at 90 decibels for no more than 15 minutes within any 24-hour period, means that if you didn't stop at 7:16 a.m, then it's just plain violating the law - no technical about it.
I appreciate community standards, that's what makes it nice to live here. And I am a reasonable person, 15 minutes seems extreme even to me - how could you ever get anything done within those kind of limits? So, if you don't take a hard line, these kinds of things can be worked out between courteous and well-intentioned parties.
But, a business UNAPOLOGETICALLY insisting that they will just keep right on doing whatever they want to do because it's all about the money, and going straight to, "if you don't like it, well, too bad, call the police," says to me: The way we do business is, if we can get away with it, and it helps us make more money, then we could care less about the law, our community, or you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
