Let's start off with how everything BUT produce here is always expired, do not come here trying to buy freezer food because it will be entirely outdated. Even the shelf apple juice was expired. Also they never know english! The owner which is a lady with colored eyes is very racist as well. And it always stinks when you walk in. For the most part the meat and produce is good everything else is a no for me.

My new favorite carneceria. Large, clean, bright, well-stocked, good selection, including all the spices and chiles. Nice produce, great prices...you can't beat it! Nice Pollo Asado for just $2.29 per pound. Delicious fresh Salsa Verde, just $2.19 per pint. Looking forward to the Roja! Cool, English-speaking butcher(s)
Small parking lot just to the right of the front entrance.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - J G.Miranda, CA3188100Nov 11, 2020
Had really really high hopes for this location. The Main Street location in Carson has never let me down. Needless to say, the parking, the waiting, the long lines, and the selection can be a slight issue at t he Carson location. I was OCD about rubbing elbow to elbow with random people before covid, now my OCD has multiplied ten fold.
Heard about La Venadita No 2 in Wilmington. Drove down from Whittier, to the Main Street Carson location, it was packed and busy as usual. Called my step-dad, complained a little, he told me about the other location in Wilmington. What? Was already parked at the Carson location, left Carson and drove down to Wilmington location to avoid the parking fuss, and the long lines.
What can I say? What can I say? Hmm... I had really high hopes.... this location is better than the Main Street Carson location. Bought 20 # of boneless chicken, 7 # asada, 5!# chorizo, 5 # red pork chuletas. In and out in under 15 minutes. There is no logical reason to fuss with the Main Street Carson location anymore. I'm telling everyone I know to drive ten minutes south to Wilmington at F Street, and get your meats at La Venadita No. 2. Forget Carson location. Done. Forgotten.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - A G.Long Beach, CA156124Jan 27, 2019
This review is solely on their whole uncooked chicken, "pollo entero."
Are you looking for a whole chicken with feathers? If so, this is the place for you!! I was kind of grossed out to be honest. On a positive note, it brought flashbacks of my grandma (R.I.P) when she used to kill and clean our dinner (in Mexico). So if you want pleasant flashbacks of your childhood and don't mind plucking several feathers from your chicken - this is the place for you!
Other than that little hiccup, my visit was pleasant and customer service was great!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Catherine B.San Pedro, CA01Apr 3, 2022
First time buying meat at this location .. it had so much fat on so many pieces. For $150 ... disappointing

The store is pretty clean and organized. Yet, many items are overpriced. The fruits and veggies mostly fresh. Although there are days when they look like someone took their bad day on them. Soggy and/or dried. The cashiers are nice, and most of them give good service. Except for the one that looks like a bulldog. She's tall dark and look like a big boy. She thinks she owns the store. She will try to treat you like you're stupid, and she's the manager.
