Stopped on a whim at this local, in town winery. We were surprised they had live music that night! The guitar player was awesome, and really got the crowd involved with the music.
We shared a bottle of the red blend. Very tasty. Not sweet, and not too dry. The other 3 in our group enjoyed warm, mulled wine. It had just the right amount of spice.
The offer some snacks, cheese and crackers. The staff was busy, so we didn't get to learn too much about the winery itself. But would like to go back and explore the grounds. Very cute house.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 5, 2023
Stopped in here one day with my daughter and enjoyed a bottle of wine on the patio . We haven't been there for quite some time and always enjoyed the patio as the inside is alittle small. The winery is connected to the house and the front is beautifully landscaped and the back where the patio is has a very nice back yard. Unfortunately we heard the place is going to be up for sale. We hope the new owners will keep the winery open.

Thank you Norma! We are working hard to find someone who can keep the almost 50 year legacy at Wyandotte Winery alive.

This winery is a great little gem nestled in a residential neighborhood. We stop in every time we are in Columbus.
The first time we went we were very confused because it looks like someone's house (which it is). Half is the winery and the other half is where the owners live.
We stopped yesterday and they had live music on the patio and a food truck in the driveway, which was an awesome surprise. I had a hard time finding a wine I liked, but the bartender was very patient with me and let me try several before I chose.
The only downside I would say is parking. Apparently the church no longer lets them use their lot as overflow so we had to park on the street in front of someone's house.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for your comments! The church parking lot was closed that Friday for resurfacing. It may have to be closed once more to finish, but it will be available for parking again soon.

Wyandotte winery is a very unique place. I explained it like a hole in a wall to my friend and she couldn't get over it being someone's house. So let me explain this better, there is a retail area on the left side of someone's house and they make wine there and sell it.
When you walk into the winery, you see a little retail store and they have frozen wine slushees, wine list and a small plates including cheese plate, some pizzas and a hummus dish.
The place is very cute and I like going but to meet people at this venue, it is not really a thing as the groups kind of stay to themselves. There is like one person working the entire place but in the summers, it is so much better as their patio is soo nice.
There is live music on Fridays and food trucks on Fridays as well. Parking is small but they have overflow at the church next door. Definitely an experience and I have a great time but it is still in someone's houseHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Thank you Danielle! We agree, Wyandotte is a unique experiance. The winery is the oldest in central Ohio, and it has always been a home and a winery since it was estabilished in 1977. We are glad you enjoy the winery, and we look forward to having you visit again soon.

Had another great evening here with some live music and a really fun atmosphere! No food truck on the night we went but they were serving pizzas that looked delicious...this place has been here since 1977 in a residential neighborhood.... So worth the trip....

Aug 21, 2022Previous reviewThis is a great Friday night stop, great Sangria and the White Roses was not too sweet. Live music and rotating food trucks on Fri evening. Tables fill up fast so remember to bring your lawn chairs.

This is a cute little backyard winery with live music and a food truck on Friday evenings. It's a house in a neighborhood, but there is good signage so that you don't miss it.
The employees were all so nice and seemed to have a great time while giving tastings and helping decide on wines.
There is both indoor and outdoor seating. If you get there on time or early for live music, you'll get a seat. Otherwise, feel free to bring a picnic blanket or a lawn chair to hangout, drink, and eat.
There is food prepared by the winery on all days, except when they have a food truck. When they have a food truck, there aren't any charcuterie boards, pizza, etc.
I noticed a cute table of older ladies who brought their own chocolate and popcorn for snacks with their wine, so I would think to bring that the next time I come.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm a bit of a wine-o, and I didn't love the wine. I did, however love the wine slushee mixed with the frozen Marguerite slushee! Delicious!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 5, 2022
This was one of the first wineries in Columbus that we ever visited and we still love it. We recently visited and had a tasting of all their current wines. They are $1 each and its a really fun experience. I highly recommend visiting if you've never been, especially in the fall. They make the best Cranberry wine!

Love this place! The wines are excellent and so is the customer service. My all-time favorite is the cranberry harvest wine. I'm usually prefer dry wines but I really enjoy this one. Today, we got a glass of the cranberry harvest and apple hill along with wine cakes. Wonderful service, kind people, and the food is great. You can opt to purchase small plates (i.e. meet and cheese plates, mini pizzas). No complaints here. I highly recommend!

Quaint little backyard winery in a close location to home. Everyone is so nice and ready to help! Family owned and worth a try for a quiet evening or a fun summer evening gathering with friends.
Try the Groupon in the summer for live music on Fridays. Seems like they have a calendar of good events. Good prices too.
Only reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is because it's not my favorite wine; too sweet for me but I'm sure you can find something you like. (Keep in mind I'm somewhat of a snob when it comes to wine and I have a preference for very dry, oaky reds)
They also have slushies which are super popular.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
