This place could use a new name so that most of the poor reviews from the previous owner are inherited by the current owner.
Let's start the review!
I've only had dumplings, scallion pancake and Chinese leek pockets here. So the review is on those items and service. It was actually the smell that lured me here, so I ordered the same thing, leek pockets (韭菜盒子). It was really good, full of flavor. Exactly like how grandma used to make. Highly recommend it!
The dumplings and scallion pancakes were a separate visit, but also really good. Good portions on both. Finished the order of dumplings and leek pockets before I could take a picture.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jane K.Temple City, CA873918Jun 3, 2022
this place does not sell tea. despite its name. i think its under new ownership and needs a new name.
they have some soup noodles, rice and dumpling dishes.
i had a sour pickled meat soup noodle dish that i devoured and it tasted on point. my friend got the 'minced pork' with egg veggie and rice and it looked yummy too. there's only one person doing everything, so service is a bit slow. plenty of spaces to sit and eat. overall, enjoyed my meal here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Radhanath T.Costa Mesa, CA2962723Aug 14, 2021
Very small hole in the wall. The owner/chef is very friendly and nice, and is able to make some vegetarian dishes as well :)
Homely good food. :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael L.Diamond Bar, CA10226130Aug 22, 2019
One of my favorite lunch spots to go to in Rowland. This place is located on top of the supermarket. They have a limited amount of selection but that's good enough. They handmake their dumplings. The lady working at this location is very caring and nice.
Highly recommended!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 6, 2012First to Review
BUY ONE GET ONE FREE tapioca milk tea for the grand opening of this little shop that just opened inside the new TS Emporium building (2nd floor) in the Costco parking lot!
took advantage of the BOGO offer!! you get a choice of green milk tea or black milk tea
---small green milk tea w/ boba: $3.25 NO TAX. the milk tea had a distinct tea flavor (unlike other places that taste really powdery)
i asked her to go light on the boba (i enjoy milk tea more) & even though they weren't busy, the boba was still CHEWY & SOFT (if you like boba that's not too sweet, you'd like it)
i'm not saying this is the best tapioca milk tea out there, but it's not bad & the deal is pretty solid!
they have a few tables for you to enjoy your drinks, shaved ice, slushes, food, etc.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jun 24, 2013
Craving boba, but got sucked into the food pictures of home style Taiwanese cooking - what can I say I miss my childhood dumplings and cong you bing. Boba was BOGO, but not cheap at 3.75$/large $3.25/regular. Nothing special, milk tea was meh. The cook ad owner were chatting in the back and i asked if they made their "zah jiang" sauce and dumplings themselves (bc so many places buy from other stores), he said yes, he makes both himself. Dumplings I got were surprisingly good. Better than most places with dumpling on the menu :)Zah jiang noodles were more traditional than most places
(i prefer chinese style over korean style) , not as good my grandpa made them but who are we kidding, his ish was legendary in my eyes.
I'd come back if i was in the area , but not for the boba.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy Z.San Gabriel, CA511Dec 7, 2019
Really bad food, black Chinese pizza, over cooked! Bad attitude, refuse to make new one! Will not recommend to any one!

If you like soft balls, this is the place for boba. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they cooked their boba for a random place in a huge TS Emporium.
They're doing a buy 1 get 1 free deal right now which makes it totally worth it. Shoot, it got me in the door!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Cathy L.ROWLAND HGHTS, CA02Dec 7, 2019
Food were not fresh as before; customer service was bad. Lady with glasses were super rude Chinese. I will not come back for sure. Ate some food and felt bad, I have contact health dept for further help.
