Publix is generally a pleasant place to shop with excellent customer service. I'd stopped going to this particular store because it had not been meeting those standards. After returning today, I see that nothing has changed. I ask the customer service desk to exchange a $20 bill for two rolls of quarters and get anything but a nice response. Let's not forget about the employee working in an isle tell his coworker that he was going to fight him. Stay away. Go anywhere else.

Always stocked and enjoyable to shop. The shelves were being restocked on each aisle as I shopped. Associates were quick to ask if help was needed(much appreciated). Even manager were visible sticking and helping customers. I prefer a Publix over other grocery stores, but some locations are less enjoyable than others. This is another location that I enjoy shopping at when in this area. Everything I was shopping for was available. The Deli personnel were very helpful and friendly.

This place has all the basics you need, although a fairly small store. Go elsewhere for specialty items. They have good prepared foods, especially the subs- I get the mediterranean veggie one.
We needed a graduation cake and a cheap one from Publix was surprisingly good. It was a chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache and strawberries that tasted pretty fresh in the middle.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 15, 2022
Publix was a great company to work for. You can tell they care about their employees. I have to say I enjoyed my time working at this location. The employees were always very up beat. I never worked at a place where there was such positive vibes. Those people in the deli kept churning out that food. Keep up the great job Publix on Ponce.

Transphobic. I reported being misgendered and the manager assured they would speak to them as they misgendered me. This store is not safe for trans people

Best grocery store in the Virginia Highlands, Poncey Highlands, Candler Park, Inman Park, and Druid Hills neighborhoods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus they employ disabled people. Can't say enough about how good I feel shopping here.

After living in Atlanta for 14 years, a friend told me about Publix fried chicken, and I haven't looked back. It's better than Popeyes, Church's, Mrs Winners, KFC or any of the other fast food options. A cop friend blames it for gaining 5 pounds, because Public was the only thing open on her night beat, and the fried chicken is that good.
That said, the store itself is nothing special. There's better parking than the Caroline Street Kroger, but less selection. It's fits the bill for an "in the way home" grocery, but not worth a special trip (unless you're getting that awesome fried chicken). - Jack R.Boston, MA014Oct 1, 2023
Worst grocery store I've ever been to. Employees very rude and do not work hard. Constantly out of items. Not clean. Prices poor. Very frustrating experience all around

Where shopping is not a pleasure. I've had so many issues at this Publix. Specifically the deli. The people working the deli ALWAYS have a problem with you no matter what. A year ago I decided to just order my subs online instead of dealing with them. My subs are NEVER ready even 45 mins after it was supposed to be ready for pick up. I'll go up and tell them and they will proceed to finish everyone in lines order instead of finishing the two subs I ordered online almost two hours ago. I've talked to the deli manager and he was really nice and he tried to get his staff to do their job. However, these deli workers are so rude they only put meat on my subs and with no condiments, no topping, and no cheese after their manager had to talk to them. I have seen these people curse and yell at the top of their lungs at one another. This has been going on for years and hope they can figure it out because I'm about done going.

The service I received today at the deli counter in this store does not even deserve one star. However, I can't write a review without giving a star. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by an employee of Publix, or any other store for that matter, than I was today by the young man behind the deli counter. He was the most condescending, dismissive person, and unfortunately was my first point of contact with the Publix brand today. The store manager was my last point of contact with the Publix brand today. I will never go in this store again. There are too many choices these days, and most of them are less expensive than Publix.

I understand the specialty subs are a new thing at Publix, but don't put your signs up if you don't have what it takes to make them. I came to this location for their new vegan and vegetarian specialty subs. Once I asked for a vegan turkey club I was looked at with the most confused look. After explaining what a vegan club is, pointing it out on the menu, and then even asking around, I was informed that they do not have it. Ok cool, whatever. Maybe super popular. Can I have a falafel? A deer in the head lights once again. As if I was asking to solve some complex arithmetic problem... After asking around again, it seems now they all have realized they don't have any of the ingredients to make these subs... but yet they just put the sign up for them.
