Janett did such an amazing job on my nails!! I love them. She is a nail perfectionist like me... painted right to the very perfectly trimmed cuticles:)

She was also very sweet and offered snacks/drinks for her guests. Will definitely be back!!!

I'm from California & am PICKY about my blonde. It's been hard to find a good colorist who can do light, ashy blonde highlights in NYC. Sara nailed EXACTLY the look I wanted. No yellow or inconsistencies in the color whatsoever.

Sara was friendly, welcoming, sweet, easy to talk to, she worked quickly and the end result exceeded my expectations. I'm also used to paying a lot more for the same thing. I found my new hair expert in NY and I couldnt be happier. Thank you!

Nicky is great - she's cut my hair several times and always does a great job.
My husband just went to her also. She did a wonderful job correcting months of "home trims"!

I asked if Janet could do just a touch earlier than 11 am and she came 10 minutes earlier to accommodate me. My hair looked great for days; blowout was perfect.

Love this place! Never been here before and I pick it for my first trim post-pandemic lockdown. I called and there was an appointment available a few hours later.

The salon is super clean, everyone has a mask on, and clean their hands nonstop. Also I saw how they sanitize chairs after two clients, and it was so good and detail. Thumbs up!

I did a haircut a bit of shortener then my usual, and was great! My hair stylist was professional; chatty but not too much. She got right away the opportunities of my curly hair and made a perfect cut!

Cash only $75. Highly suggested. I will be back.

There happened to have been a cancellation , and Janette the owner said sure come right over . I was a 10 min walk.
I was Greeted by a warm beautiful lady who listened to what i wanted . And nailed the color. First time.
I felt like i was visiting with a friend , i would highly recommend this local salon IN LIC

Awful customer service and does not listen to clients request. Went in to dye my hair and the lady told me highlights are better so trusting her I agreed. During the process I notice barely any highlights and no noticeable changes to my hair color. I voiced my concern and asked for more but she said you have to come back and pay again. I was so upset that I did not finish the rest of my appointment. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Beware of the staff who offer to store your belongings in their wardrobe nook. I had cash stolen from my purse, and unfortunately there's no doubt that it was someone from the staff who did that.
When I came, my stylis's assistant kindly offered to put my purse aside 'so that I'm comfortable". She first put it on a stand by my side but later when I wasn't paying attention she put it away into the wardrobe area where clients leave their clothes. When I noticed that, because of my shyness/stupidity I didn't ask her why she put it so far away from me and didn't ask to bring it back. I'd been to this salon 4 or 5 times before and this person was always very nice, I didn't expect anything bad to happen. Also, the salon was empty - only me and two staff members, no strangers or whatever. The bag was out of my sight most of the time throughout the 2 hrs I was there. When it was time to pay I asked for my bag and when I opened it, I noticed that smth was wrong. I expected to find $200 which I had withdrawn right before my visit and carefully wrapped in the ATM receipt, and also a few 20- and 10-dollar notes (about $60-80 in total) placed separately which I prepared for the tips or in case I would be charged more than $200. I found that all cash was scattered inside my purse. I counted $200 and found that the 20-dollar notes which I prepared for the tips were missing. The money was gone. I was too confused to speak out my suspicions right there because the people have always been so nice, I couldn't believe that might happen. But when I left I realized that everything was crystal clear. I texted my stylist but she couldn't say anything except that she was surprised and unaware of what might have happened. $60-80 is not a huge amount to lose, but I am now very worried about other personal data that could have been compromised (my credit cards, address etc, it was all in my purse). I feel very upset about the whole situation. I mean, this is not just bad service - this is a crime! I will never go to this salon again.

SAVED MY HAIR!!!
I already loved Nikki because she has always known how to work with my hair which happens to have a mind of its own since its very thick and curly.... but a few days ago thinking I'd save money, I got a Balyage service done by an AT HOME stylist which NEVER AGAIN!!! I ended up looking like I had horns coming out of my head because of the bad coloring and placement of the highlights- I ran back to Primp and Tease to have Nikki help save my hair and she knew exactly what to do, how to fix it and that's exactly what she did! She has always done an amazing job and helps me find what styling and coloring are best suited for my hair.

Two lessons I learned...
1. When it comes to something as important as your hair- don't cut corners (no pun intended).... there's a major possibility it's not going to work out and you may damage your hair MAJORLY (when I washed it at the 'HOME HAIR JOB' i had clumps of hair falling out :(

2. When you find a great stylist- don't take them for granted. I felt so safe when I was back at Primp and Tease because I knew Nikki had the skills to make my hair look not just look normal- but beautiful again and on its way back to as healthy as it can be.

I'm so so so grateful.
