About the Business
We love our pretzel dough so much we make everything (well, almost) out of it. From our soft-baked pretzels to our calzones to our foccacia and pizzas, we can guarantee the same delicious bread and fresh- never frozen - ingredients that you enjoy every time you visit. Come try our pretzels stuffed with chocolate chips or our "inside out" mozzarella sticks - you'll get pretzel obsessed. It started with a pretzel. Soft, warm, covered with butter and sprinkled with salt. The perfect snack. After that, pretzel calzones stuffed with cheese, fresh produce and premium meats. Then we introduced pretzel pizza (and we haven't been able to find it anywhere else). Pretzel sandwiches and pretzel wrapped hot dogs swiftly followed with creative toppings and new ingredients.

Fast service, well staffed. Food came out in under 10 minutes.
Calm setting, but if it fills up could get a little loud, but nothing outrageous.
Their sweet tea is really good, perfect amount of sweetness, and the tea isn't too strong. 10/10
The angry bee pizza is good, however, I personally wasn't a fan of the feta (my fault for not knowing exactly how it tasted. The consistency was too chalky for me and reminded me of blue cheese) 10/10 if you like feta, 7/10 for me
The pretzel dog was really good, straight forward. 9/10
I heard the inside out mozzarella sticks were "ok". Rating 1: 6/10. Rating 2: "good," 8/10
The regular cheese & bacon pepperoni pizza were good. 9/10
The oatmeal cookie craving ice cream was good. A mix between a crunchy cookies and creme and oatmeal cookies. 9/10
The cinnamon sugar pretzel was not too much cinnamon and sugar, which is easy to do. The dough was hot and soft. 9/10Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Came here after a friends bridal shower in the area. The last time I visited was a few years ago, and I felt curious about how my experience would be, and today it was fairly decent!
The shop is known for their pretzel based foods, especially pizza and having really good stuffed pretzels. We ordered pizza, a hotdog, inside out mozzarella sticks, and stuffed pretzels and I can say that my stuffed pretzel was the main highlight of the meal!
We had a half cheese, half pepperoni and bacon pizza and it was definitely loaded up! It really only tasted like pretzel crust though on the actual pizza crust and not as much throughout the pizza. The inside out mozzarella sticks were basically just cheesy bread, which was pretty good.
What I will say is our service here was good as well(friendly staff), but there were a few disruptions in the restaurant while we were there, including some somewhat rowdy customers and an employee storming out the back door, which was initially concerning, and I hope they're ok. Kinda different than the last time we were there.
In terms of the space, it's actually pretty laid-back and definitely is laid out like a casual pizza joint . There's a kiosk you can order from, but you can also order from the main counter.
I would definitely come back here and order a pretzel again, and I think it would be a good spot to grab and go too, and walk around in the downtown area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2023
What a fun concept! We met friends here and all had a good time. Our biggest concern was how crowded it was inside for a Saturday lunch.
The Philly cheese steak sandwich was a very solid option. The pretzel bread had a noticeable flavor too which was what we wanted. Maybe just odd it had lettuce and tomato.
The pesto pizza was perfectly done with the exact right ratio of cheese to pesto. I could also remove the chicken to make it vegetarian. The crust itself was soft yet firm. If I hadn't known I wouldn't have guessed it was pretzel. A 10 inch pizza was also more than enough for one person.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 6, 2023
One word: INCREDIBLE. You must go here, everything was absolutely delicious.
My friends and I came here after a hike nearby craving some carbs and refreshments, and Pretzel and Pizza did not disappoint.
We got the inside out mozz sticks, a calzone, some sandwiches, and another patron shared their pizza with us ha!
The inside out mozzarella sticks are absolutely a must get - they're served on sweet, buttery, pretzel sticks, covered w/ cheese and served w/ marinara. These were probably my favorite thing. We got them for the table but I was getting a little possessive of these lol!
The pretzel sandwiches were good but not as impressive as the other foods.
I got the Philly cheesesteak calzone and it was absolutely insane. It was huge (I only ate 1/4 and had to take it home!) and with the pretzel dough, just incredible. I'd definitely recommend this! I'll be back to try other flavors.
Another patron couldn't finish their pizza - it was huge so they shared some with us and it was also great! It has pretzel dough but since it's flattened, it's not quite as pretzel-y as the other products.
Make note that it is kind of small inside so if you come at peak mealtimes, you may have to wait and/or not get a seat.
Overall, this was a solid 5+ star experience. The food was great and the menu was so expansive, I'll be be back for more soon! This is one of my new favorite Frederick spots and I know you will love it too!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Not a huge fan. But I will start and say the girls working behind the counter were so nice. The pizza though.... Tomato base was very sweet, dough wasn't really cooked through. We ordered a small cheese with red onion and it was so bland. Then we ordered the Bianca and it was just a wet pizza. We asked for a plain Bianca after that to replace it and it was just a greasy mess that was all garlic.
I'm sad cause I love pretzels!!!! Maybe it was an off night but we won't be visiting again unfortunately.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Butter & salt pretzel was delicious. Bianca pizza (with mushrooms) was good, but pretzel calzones are definitely the highlight here! You can really taste and appreciate the pretzel taste in calzones--not so much in pizza...

Pretty good and unique concept in Frederick! They were always busy when I walked by. I enjoyed the pretzel crust and overall it was a decent pizza.
We got the veggie and bbq pizza. They were good and staff is friendly. I probably enjoyed the pretzel more than the pizza toppings and will to a different pretzels creation next time since the menu is huge.
The moose tracks ice cream was yummy though.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katharine S.Montgomery County, MD443761660Sep 2, 2023
We were sooo excited to try this place, but it wound up being a little disappointing. First of all their menu is awesome - really creative and who doesn't love pretzels?
We tried:
Turkey cheddar avocado on pretzel focaccia + sub chips for a side Caesar salad
Philly cheesesteak on pretzel focaccia + chips
Chocolate chip & bacon pretzel with caramel
Cheddar pretzel with honey mustard
1 bag of extra chips (We thought they were made in house but they were just utz bags lol)
Everything came out to about $50.
I added mushrooms on the turkey sandwich, & there were hardly any. It was a little laughable when I opened the sandwich and showed my husband; I should've taken a pic. I subbed a Caesar salad as my side for $4 and didn't receive it. The Philly sandwich was good and the pretzels were decent, but there was hardly any filling in the stuffed pretzels, so we should've just got regular pretzels & some sauces.
Overall the food is okay, and seemingly creative, but I think the people working there just don't care much so it falls short and didn't match the price point (especially not receiving what we paid for). It's not worth it in this terrible economy so sadly, we won't be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 19, 2022
If you have ever been to downtown Frederick you have to have been in Pretzel and Pizza Creations. The pizza that they serve is excellent but the pretzels are the best!
I ordered a chocolate chip and an English toffee and could have eaten them both.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 24, 2022Updated review
Sometimes you need to update your review because things change.....
I've been in a few times in the past few weeks, and I need to reevaluate. The food is not as amazing and perfect as it once was. The perfect Rueben sandwich no longer exists, it has become sloppy and nearly flavorless.
But worse than the decline of food quality, is the decline of service. There are plenty of people behind the counter, but it is not a smooth running machine anymore.....
Two recent experiences:
1. Ordered a simple Jalapeño Cheddar Pretzel as a snack. Gave my cash and sat down. After a while, realized it was taking awhile, so I payed attention. My pretzel was dumped at a table in the back without question.... That customer did the right thing and brought it back up. I intervened and said it was probably mine. The employee told me that they tried to ask my name and I refused. No. They never asked. Didn't appreciate that accusation.
2. Walked in and ordered a Rueben and Caesar Salad from the kiosk. Walked around town waiting for my text notification. Eventually went back to wait, and realized it had now been 30 minutes. I asked about the takeaway order in red on their screen.... THEN they started making my order. I was told the kiosk isn't printing orders. No sense of awareness that they had inconvenienced me so.... 10 minutes later I walked away with my mediocre food.
It seems like there is nobody in charge or taking responsibility behind the counter....Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
