I can't believe this studio exists in Geneva. I've practiced yoga on a limited basis for years but never was motivated enough to stick with it. Now here I am, coming up on my 2 year anniversary of going 2x a week, sharing how wonderful Prana is and the positive impact it has had on my life.
The great thing about Prana is the nice variety of teachers and classes. All the teachers support an encouraging and non-judgemental environment to make you feel welcome in the studio. They encourage you to take what you need everyday in class. So if you don't feel up to doing that 10th chaturanga during class, you won't feel pressured to do so.
I started coming to Prana looking to get in shape and get a nice workout (which i do), but now I've learned through Prana, that it's much so more than that. My new understanding of yoga has helped me be more present with my family and deal with any stresses that come up in life. Leaving class on a Saturday morning feeling completely blissed out doesn't hurt either.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dennis K.Fallon, NV813Jul 1, 2018
Simply the best studio. They have a genuine love for the traditional practice of Yoga. They understand and guide us, as students, to what the gift of Yoga will bring to those who live the experience. It is through their programs like Yoga Beyond Asana that have guided me to an awareness of Self beyond what I could have understood without their guidance. All the teachers care deeply about what they teach, their motives are based on how they can help the student grow. It is a culture started from the top and is lived through each teacher. The community of those who share their practice together live the meaning of love and kindness, a calmness in life itself. Prana Yoga and the humans who are involved with the studio have had a profound change that can never be paid back but can be paid forward. It has truly had a profound change in my life

My wife has been attending classes at Prana for a couple of years now and really enjoys the tranquility of this studio. She has never had any complaints until very recently. We are expecting are first child and was looking for to incorporating yoga during her pregnancy. She signed up for classes as usual with a package she had purchased and was catching up with one of their instructors and mentioned she was expecting. She was told that she would be unable to attend normal yoga classes and would have to specifically enroll in prenatal classes. So they froze her account and credited her funds back to her. And left her with little options. The prenatal classes are more money and offered way less. Being a working women, they have zero classes outside of her working schedule. So sadly she is unable to use her favorite yoga studio. She feels like she's been discriminated against due to the fact she's pregnant. I understand they have their policies, but without exceptions is absurd. She's been doing yoga regularly for more than 5 years and understand her body. If there was a pose she didn't feel comfortable with, then she would adapt. Not to mention she's was in her first trimester... where her belly isn't in the way at all. If she was further along in her pregnancy and new to yoga I would understand their concerns. And by signing up she waives liability and it's all on her anyway. Use some common sense guys, so we gladly singed her up for Yellow Aura Yoga, who allows pregnant women to attend "normal classes" and allows the student to customize their routines a bit. Hope she gets her money back, because they just gave her a credit that she can't or doesn't want to use. It's a shame to be treated differently, especially when it should be the happiest time of her life. Thank you for not being accommodating to your loyal customers. This place seems to be too big for its britches, it's a shame.

What a lovely studio. Was visiting for a few days and stopped in for forest yoga. Delightful! Sarah was my teacher and she was exceptional. Make a point of checking out this beautiful studio. You won't be disappointed.

Prana Yoga is life changing, seriously. Lisa and her extremely talented group of instructors are patient, selfless, knowledgeable, and really care about the students they instruct. The studio is warm and inviting. The sign up process for classes is super easy via your mobile phone. Prana and the learnings from this incredible staff have truly my life changing for me. Don't hesitate, go there. You wont regret it EVER! Prana Yoga is a gift to this community.

I am not a member because of my lack of finances and unfortunately I can't even afford the cost of a Drop-In Class so I have been taking all the Free Classes and Workshops with the Generous and Amazing Instructors who donate their time for this and I think it is wonderful.
I also take classes there on Sunday with more Amazing Instructors who donate their time for those with Cancer or who have had Cancer thru Living Well Cancer Resources Center and have classes here,Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Natalie S.Geneva, IL62Aug 1, 2012
My favorite yoga studio in the Tri-Cities! I like my yoga to be tough, so I opt for Power Vinyasa with Lori or Yoga Sculpt with Noreen. Both have been trained by Corepower, which would be my studio of choice if it were closer (nearest one is in Naperville).
Both teachers and their classes offer a full-body work out taught in a safe and inviting way. The poses can be hard, but adjustments are always offered. Power Vinyasa flows quickly and focuses on use of the core and breath to achieve challenging holds and balances. Yoga Sculpt incorporates weights into a traditional yoga practice. Noreen makes sure to balance strength work with restorative stretching to get you toned but not tight. I leave either class feeling restored, energized and an inch taller (honestly!).
The studio's are warm, calming and well-maintained. Classes are typically small. My only qualm is the $18 drop-in rate. Get a package. Or if you can afford it, a membership!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sara W.Mt. Tabor, Portland, OR18180117Jul 27, 2010
Small and intimate yoga studio. I have to admit since Sharon left it is different but still a great place to practice.
The classes usually have the same core group of people and are never too crowded. The instructors cater to the needs of the group and you never feel left out or behind.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kassi C.Chicago, IL279496Jan 18, 2009First to Review
Prana Yoga is a small yoga studio in downtown Geneva that offers a variety of Yoga classes at many different levels. They have many class offerings during the day and in the evening 7 days a week.
The classes that I have attended have been small, which is perfect for individual adjustments. The studio has a very calming atmosphere!
The first sunday of the month they hold a free yoga class. Your first class there is only $5 if you visit there website, so go try it for yourself!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan R.Geneva, IL07Mar 9, 2017
