My daughter bought Pizza from Positano's last night using a Groupon. Bottom line, it was horrible. It's worse than Little Caesars or Black Jack, which is surprisingly difficult to do. Sauce was sweetened ketchup and cheese was nasty. Her comments on pizza box says it all. Loved her modification to slogan.

I've been coming here so long that I don't remember when I first felt the love. The best of the flavors for me is hands down the four cheese and spinach pizza followed closely by the white pizza.
Both have just the right hit of garlic while the four cheese has the creamy ricotta blended with mozzarella, Parmesan and admittedly I don't know the fourth cheese. The white pizza which I had today is a burst of rich tomato flavor punctuated with basil.
I also had the veggie pizza today. I would personally like the veggies cooked and then added to the pizza but regardless it's a great slice.
Normally when I break away for lunch it's well after two. I usually find the place to myself and get quick service. I always go for whatever is available in the case versus ordering from scratch.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gordon J.Rochester, MN492924Mar 5, 2015
As a native of NYC, its often hard to find the pizza i grew up on here in Colorado. I've tried many a place but Positano's is BY FAR the closest thing i have found!
Floppy, fold-able slices of heaven. They truly understand that the sauce is the boss to make a real pizza stand out. They also make Sicilian style pizza which, for anyone who ever has lived or has been to NYC knows is nearly impossible to find outside of there. I consider myself a pizza snob so I am picky. No hesitations here, just the goodness i remember. If you want the real deal NYC Pizza then dont waste your time anywhere else in FoCo.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maria C.Beacon Hill, Boston, MA1001091000Sep 5, 2015
Visited during my stay in FOCO, my boyfriend is a local so he brought me to visit. Their family loves this place. Everything is made in house and at the time you order. I respect that a lot! Takes a bit of time so I got an extra slice of pizza for the wait on my Calzone. I got a slice of pepperoni and a Pesto Calzone. The pepperoni was suuuuper hot right out of the oven. I'm very impatient so I wanted to eat! Burnt my mouth on that good slice. The staff is very friendly and they chat with the locals. We took the Calzone home and I ate it after it cooled down a bit. Deliciously hot even by the time we arrived. Smelled yum!
The inside layers were very amazingly jam packed in there. It was a pizza pie in a Calzone. Lasted me the whole day as a great meal. Very fresh ingredients.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan H.Fort Collins, CO35278549Apr 9, 2015
Positanos is good pizza. The pizziola trained from the same chefs at Pulcinella which is also good quality neopolitano pizza.
The sauce is fresh and the toppings are good. They have pizza by the slice around lunch time and often at night as well. I like the pizza but for me it's been hit and miss on if it's 4 stars or 5.
They also have Sicilian style pizza which is like a pan or deep dish but not so greasy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristin M.Fort Collins, CO532751Jul 22, 2010
On a particular stop there for dinner, we all had pizza slices. The kids had good old traditional plain cheese. The husband had a pepperoni and meatball. I had the Bianco - roma tomatoes marinated in olive oil, garlic, and basil with mozzarella cheese.
The plain cheese pizza that the boys ate was just that - plain. It was decent, but I felt it was lacking some of that seasoned flavor I was hoping for. The thinness and the texture of the crust was fine, but I had my heart set on a pizza party on the taste buds. Not so.
My husband's slice was just a step better, although the meatballs fell flat as well. They needed more kick. More punch. More pizazz. They ended up being lifeless and boring and didn't really add much to the taste.
My Bianco? WAS AWESOME! This slice was jam packed with incredible flavor. A burst of amazing right in the kisser. The fresh tomatoes, the rich olive oil, the happy basil, the creamy mozzarella and the powerful garlic, all of it, fan-freakin-tastic. It was one of the better slices of pizza I've had in town.
While Positano's doesn't have the chemical advantage of New York City tap water, and some of our slices were a bit dull, you can still find some satisfying flavor in these New York-style pizzas. For me though, Positano's wasn't about the crust or its "New Yorkness", it was definitely about the striking ingredients on the gourmet pizzas.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anthony S.Denver, CO03Jan 22, 2015
So coming to Fort Collins from Brooklyn, I am very critical of pizza and actually stumbled upon this place by accident. The several times i've been here, EVERYTHING. The pizza, the pasta. Everything food wise is absolutely fantastic. (Eat in is vastly superior to delivery, although delivery wasn't too bad).
The food is simply the only reason this place got a review as high as it was, and if the service and staff weren't awful, it would have gotten a much lower review. Estimate times for delivery are WAY off, and that's if you even get the right order delivered. Eating in, the employees tend to hide in the back and even calling out for them doesn't help. I actually had to stand there and call the store repeatedly until someone came out to answer the phone, then I could grab them to place an order.
They are lucky their pizza is the closest you can get to NYC in Fort Collins.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John D.Englewood, CO0167Dec 8, 2013
Ordered the Supreme pizza and small garlic bread. $25 and tasted terrible. The sauce tastes like tomato sauce with no spices and has hardly any cheese or sauce on the darn thing. And to add insult to injury we were the only ones there at 6pm and it took over a half hour to get our pizza.
The walls are dirty with drip stains coming off some of the pictures, the place is a mess with flyers, newspapers and magazines all over the place.
Whoever owns this place has completely lost the love of the business and it shows. I could go on and on. It's just one of those places that doesn't care about quality or reputation and it shows.
I paid a lot for the pizza I was really hoping for something good.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tim W.South Lake Tahoe, CA07315Apr 28, 2015
Pizza and garlic twist were delicious.
Mushrooms on the salad were not. Gave me a stomach ache. I would definitely go here again, but only for cooked food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marcia K.Fort Collins, CO237Jan 14, 2010
I'm from NY - heard about this place, was eager to try....*sigh* - utter disappointment - definitely NOT authentic NY pizza.
The crust is just not right, nor is the sauce....there is better in the Fort and it's called Pulcinella.....Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
