Port Warwick Summer Concert Series

If you're looking for something to do that won't break the bank, the Port Warwick Summer Concert Series is a great option. Bring a few beach chairs, a cooler of sandwiches/snacks/drinks, and relax with some free live music! I've been consistently impressed with the quality of the musicians they book for this event. They also typically have a wide variety of vendors selling all kinds of stuff if you don't want to be bothered with packing your own food/drink. The restaurants around the square also tend to run specials on various food and drinks during the shows as well. The only downside in the summer is that sometimes it's hot, hot, hot! And parking can be challenging if it's super crowded. But overall, a solid event that is family and pet friendly!

Pros: free, byob, bring your own food, lots of food options if you don't want to, dog friendly, lots of space, fun bands, they they have chalk and other kids stuff, raffles, plenty of free parking but it might be far

Vendors include taco trucks, popsicle stands, Schlesingers burgers/hot dogs/sausages, cupcake truck etc

Cons: not every single band is my cup of tea, parking can be far. That's it!

If you live in on the Peninsula , take advantage of this fun opportunity to gather with friends in a chill, fun, and free environment

This concert series is a great event and adds to the charm, of the Port Warwick area of Newport News. The series is family friendly and caters to local food truck and art vendors. I highly recommend attending one of the concerts.

Keep up the great work. I truly enjoy coming to see the summer music series.I drive all the way up from Downtown Hampton to just lay out on the grass or sit in my lawn chair and just relax. I enjoy buying a pizza pie and some wine, just sitting back and relaxing.

I bring my daughter and my dog. They both have fun too. Great way to end your day or start you "weekend" right.
