Better than chipotle. This food is gas. Better prices. Chicken is the best by far. I wish they had this everywhere.

We ordered two burritos from here today and they were very flavorful. I did a build your own burrito with tempeh and my husband got a chicken one. They were a good size. Quick and friendly service.

The carnitas double meat double bowl is the way to go! And order chips and guacamole.
Our favorite go to every time we are on the island.

Food:
The food here was very good! Think chipotle, but more variety and fresher ingredients! It was a really good choice for a very hot day! They have MYO bowls and burritos, as well as some tacos. They also have craft beer, which is a lovely addition and another great way to cool down.

Service:
Since it's a chipotle-style restaurant, there's not too much service involved. The worker making my bowl was very kind and friendly, and so was the cashier. No complaints!

Ambiance:
Since I was on Anna Maria Island, pretty much every restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere. Poppo's was no exception! Their interior was that of a nice fast-casual restaurant such as chipotle, with a great outdoor seating area as well! Again, think chipotle.

Excellent homemade tortillas, carnitas, guacamole and salsas! Lots of choices. Loved it!

Quick line to wait in. Maybe took us 10 minutes tops for dinner. Staff is very kind, fast, and efficient! My boyfriend and I each custom ordered our burritos and had some jarritos (so happy to have found our favorite flavors). Some indoor and outdoor seating was available, but there isn't much if they get busy.

The salsa and chips were great along with our jarritos! I had the carne asada custom burrito with brown rice, honey-lime cabbage, avocado, pickled onions, pico de gallo, and cilantro. Very happy with my burrito although it wasn't a full Mexican burrito. The pico de gallo was delicious! Honestly one of my favorite parts.

Delicious tacos and bowls! The only vegan food that we could find in the island. The tempeh was smoky and delicious! They had great beer and kombucha too. Also, the guacamole is wonderful!

Wow!! This was an unexpected but delicious surprise for lunch. My mom and I came here and ordered our own side of chips and salsa and split a large pork carnitas bowl and we were blown away. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. The chips were piping hot, just the way we like them. The salsa was very fresh tasting and the carnitas bowl had so much flavor. We were hungry and this place certainly settled our cravings! The guacamole was a shining star, in fact the verde salsa was also pretty delightful as well.
Highly recommend coming here for a nice bite to eat, especially if you're in the mood for fresh Mexican flavors. I like that they have so many options to include in your bowl, such as pickled cabbage and pickled red onion- yum!

I really enjoyed my visit to this unique restaurant on beautiful Anna Maria Island. The location is convenient, the restaurant is nicely decorated inside and out, the staff are very friendly, patient, and efficient, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, and the dining room is adequate and clean.
