Gave Pony Express a voucher for stray cat Lunas spay in March 2023 and scheduled her in June 2023 to be spayed... we'll come to find out she was pregnant so I rescheduled it for today July 18 (I don't believe in abortion, my personal opinion). When I rescheduled there was no mention of vouchers not being accepted and it was fine to reschedule it and it wouldn't change the voucher process.
At drop off at 8am the cost of the surgery was not spoken about, only the extras like vaccines, chip, meds and the permission to give her Anesetheisa. Came to pick her up after surgery and they said $334. I said "oh! you have her voucher from March on file, this has been scheduled for awhile" and their response was "we stopped taking vouchers in June and called everyone to let them know." I don't have a single missed call from them I even checked my T-Mobile call log, the lady at the desk said "they must've forgot to call you then". So really $250 for her spay today if you add the $60 for the voucher cost and the $190 spay they charged me. I think it was very unprofessional that they did not honor the voucher that was on file for a scheduled procedure months prior. This is the 9th stray cat I have found & taken in and I've gotten vouchers for to spay or neuter and keep the population from growing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laura M.Logan, OH932920Apr 18, 2022
I have been taking my cat, Hurley, to Pony Express for I believe the last four years or so. My old vet retired and I was looking for a new one. I'm good friends with Dr. Luckenbill's wife and Pony Express is only about 5 minutes from my house so I thought I would give it a try. I am grateful every single day for Dr. Bliss and everyone at Pony Express! Hurley has had some health issues and Dr. Bliss has helped him so much. Honestly the entire staff is amazing...even though he isn't a fan of going to vet and being poked and prodded, I feel like he knows he's being well taken care of. Dr. Bliss is always available if I just need to call and ask questions...she never gets back to me any later than the next day. I've had to take him in last minute a few times due to emergencies and she's always able to let me do a drop off appointment when that happens (I'll drop him off at the office and she examines him when she has time in between patients). I can tell that everyone at Pony Express truly cares about all the animals they see.
Compared to the other vets I've gone to, Pony Express is a little pricier...but honestly I'd pay whatever it took to make sure my baby was well taken care of. I also appreciate the fact that they have pretty much everything they might need to treat the animals...they can do X-rays in the office and they can evaluate blood work there rather than having to send it to a lab. Sometimes they do have to send some things off to a lab for results but they usually get those results back in a few days.
I'm so glad I started coming here...I know Hurley receives the best care possible from this team!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andy Y.Spring Valley, OH031Sep 12, 2019
We have 4 large dogs and all have been treated very well. The staff are very polite and seem to really like what they do which is a plus in my book. Nothing worse that going to a place of business where the staff is not happy.
One of our fur babies had to have a tooth pulled. While she was under they cleaned her teeth and did a great job. She really didn't seem to be affected by the tooth being pulled since she kept trying to get back in our truck to go back. She must have really liked them too. Or she enjoyed the pain meds ; ) Either way she was happier with the bad tooth gone.
Great place and highly recommended.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - John V.Xenia, OH191Jul 14, 2017
The supper
Staff and Dr Wiebe are extremely accommodating and concerned for my dogs well being - and mine. And not reluctant to make referrals to somewhere better equipped for specific issues.
I am totally confident my dog will get the best care at Pony ExpressHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jill H.Ponce, Puerto Rico03Dec 3, 2020

I have had an issue with Pony Express, however they have not responded and I don't know at this time what the cause was.
They have served us well in the past.
I think they want to do the right thing.
So we are simply waiting to hear from them on the issue we have.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason S.Xenia, OH29Mar 27, 2018
I love Pony Express. Actually my dog loves going to Pony Express! The staff is super courteous and the doctors are just awesome. They take a real interest in my pet and are super at conveying information to me in a way that I can understand. Thank you

We changed Vets to Pony Express about 2 years ago and we are very satisfied. We have a 4 year old GSD and a 1 year old Boston and they are as wonderful with our our 100# dog as they are with our 12# dog
