Pollos Asados Al Carbon is a great found for us to satisfy our tacos craving in Tulsa area. This food truck parked behind Fair Fellows coffee shop and this place opens regularly unlike some other food trucks. If you see the "5 for 5" banner, you're in the right place.
Their tacos aren't overly seasoned so you can really taste their meat and the freshness. Believe me, they are addicted! We were skeptical about the quality of this place so we ordered just 5 tacos, after one bite, we are ordered lining up for more. The second time we went there, we start with 15 tacos!
LOVE their 'cheek meat' & 'pork' particularly! The dipping sauces are amazing but I will get heartburn at night after that... but I can't stop dipping...
Anyway, this is on our regular go-to list now!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Dec 16, 2019
Hands down one of the best places to get tacos in Tulsa. For me this is now in my top 3 spots it the metro!!!
For being a truck parked in lot behind a small strip mall set up right of I 244 they stay busy!! Why? Billboards? Bright Lights? Huge media campaign? NOPE! People know they make great tacos!! My experiences here all surround the 5 tacos for 5 bucks special that they seem to always have.
They have a full menu and plenty of your typical Mexican food truck items so if you or your party don't just want tacos you are graced with options.
The tacos though. I love tacos. Especially on Tuesdays but I would come here any day. The street style tacos are served with two sauces and I enjoyed them both! The green cream sauce and the more traditional red sauce or salsa both had a nice kick and really amplified my taco dining experience!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Cameron S.Tulsa, OK711Jul 1, 2022
Looking for street tacos in midtown? This is your spot. The asada, lengua, and newly released birria are mega dank. Although I normally get the pastor (also delicious) because I'm basic. Throw some jalapeño salsa on any of those and you'll graduate to ultra dank. The flavor doesn't stop at tacos, try out the rest of the menu.

i was informed about this food truck during the art crawl at kendall-whittier. thing is, i always saw this truck & always wanted to check it out & it would never come to mind. thanks to the recommendations while i was out in the area, checking it out wasn't a question at that point.
they have a special, 5 tacos for $5, so we went with 10 tacos. i had four: chicken, carne asada, barbacoa & chorizo. every single one of them were good! my favorite was out of the barbacoa (i have an infinity for bbq) & chorizo. they had 2 other selections that come with multiple meats, that's something i'm definitely looking forward to next time. also, add some of that green sauce that's placed on their tables, you can't go wrong with that.
service was on point. the tacos were made just like how i ordered them (i do NOT like onions) & it comes with a roasted jalapeno on the side. you really can't go wrong with that 5 for $5, that way you can try most of their options. one of the top taco trucks tulsa has to offer.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Ivory P.Iron Triangle, Richmond, CA03Jun 11, 2022
The food is pretty good but the customer service could use some work . I presented my tax exempt card she said she does not do that after I asked her does she not know how or she want then she starts speaking the cook in the kitchen who does not know either I said when I was here 4 days ago it was no problem she was not working then I ask for extra cilantro she charges me 1.50 I said for extra cilantro the guy that was working didn't charge extra , she kept saying sorry as if it would make everything right . I'm disgusted by how ppl think it's ok to up-charge and play dumb during these time . I'm disappointed with the customer service I won't return .

Ok tacos with good prices, there are many other better taco places if you're willing to go further east.

I've eaten many different taco stands and restaurants around town and this is by far one of my favorites. Right next to the highway, the food truck is surrounded by a barbared wire fence.
I've ordered several items off of the menu. They have a whole roasted chicken dinner, along with the typical burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. They do have a mexican hamburger where they place a grilled sausage, avocado along with along mexican fixin' on top. It was decent, I ordered it just to give it a try.
My favorite item is the alambre taco which is grilled ham and bacon with cheese. A delicious taco. They also offer an avocado based salsa that I enjoy. It is spicy, but the burn is worth it. Red sauce is also offered if that's what you prefer.
They also offer a corn tamale which is the perfect amount of sweet to end the meal. A great dessert.
They do take credit card- but they charge a 1.50 fee.
All in all a great place to come and eat. They have a couple tables to the side, but it looks like most people take the food to-go.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Robert H.Tulsa, OK80231323Mar 25, 2017
Our absolute favorite place in Tulsa! Mario has treated us right for several years now. His food is always consistent and delicious. I can't say enough about the quality of his food and service. The chicken platter is amazing as is the hamburgesa is he best in Tulsa with a beef patty, sliced grilled hotdog and so many other ingredients you just have to try it to believe it. The tacos are a staple in our family. If you want the best food truck in Tulsa be sure to stop by. Tell Mario Robert sent you!
