We also feature soft pretzels imported from Munich that measure an impressive 10 inches across. We also offer on and off-premise catering for groups of 10-700, special annual festivals and events and serve as a clubhouse for many German-American groups.

Any vegan options? I see potato pancakes and pretzels, I hope they are made with no diary or eggs. What's in the portobello schnitzel dish?

Came here with a party of 22 people in Thanksgiving as it was the only place to be able to accommodate a group this large.
Everyone had such a positive experience. We had our own private room with a handful of staff members to cater to us. The food was delicious and authentic. I have spent a lot of time in Germany and have found this food to ve pretty close to authentic. The portion sizes are massive and everything is cooked so perfectly. If you're a beer fan, they have a huge selection to choose from.
This was definitely a great place to visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nazareth B.Brooklyn, NY61241Nov 20, 2023

This place has been around for decades and we went there for the 1st time. It was still chilly out so we opted for the full dining room as opposed to just the beer garden side. Took the kids and tried several delicious dishes.
The pretzel was to die for. While nothing else particularly stood out it was all very good traditional German fair. The potato pancakes were delicious, the brats or sausages with the different dishes were really good. I mean they were juicy and flavorful. The spatzel sides were great, my daughter's veal schnitzel was good.
I had to get a beer to go with the pretzel and the krombucher hell was perfect. Also I actually drank that whole freaking half liter! . Yikes especially since I'm not a beer drinker at all. As in probably haven't had one since I was a college freshman... and yeah I wasn't 21 . That was the late 90's for ya.
Great place for authentic beer and pretzel and German food Ofcourse.
If you're hankering for a decent pretzel and beer go here. I probably wouldn't go for the rest of the food alone, it's good homemade kind of food, a touch bland but I think that's the Indian in me eating German food which is notoriously not seasoned well enough for my palette.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 3, 2023
I'm sitting now waiting for dessert writing this review. The food was fine... very small portions... but good enough. I had sauerbraten. I wasn't a fan of the dumplings but the cabbage was quite good and the meat was very tender.
The problem is the service. We've been here for 3 hours and fifteen minutes. I just want to go home.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Madeline R.Brooklyn, NY020Apr 20, 2024
Nasty wait staff that takes forever to bring cold food. Too crowded and running on a waitstaff skeleton crew. You get up to go to the bathroom and your table is given away. Plus your purse is inspected when you enter. Wth? Also they charge above the prices on the menu which is totally illegal. They claim the prices are for cash discount but that is not posted.

We love this place. They have great bands, good food, and the outdoor seating with fire pits is perfect for large groups. This is one of our favorite places to just hang out and hear good music. However, they recently upped the entrance fee from $ 5 to $ 8 per person, even if you are there to have dinner. An additional $8 per person on top of the dinner bill can add up to a lot if you have a large group. If you're there for dinner the entrance fee should be waived. Friends have said they will not eat there anymore, just on principal.

I came for there Bavarian Fest, so this review is solely based on that experience.
I was there with my boyfriend, cousin and parents. We had a great time!
We enjoyed huge beers and yummy food. The food we had was bratwurst, pretzel with beer cheese, and potato pancakes. Yummmm all around.
Food was cash only which surprised us all, but there was an ATM on premises.
There were a few games during the festival as well as vendors, live music and dance shows.
Great time all around!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Ray T.San Francisco, CA50263Apr 19, 2024Updated review
Used to love going here to see the bands. Friendly bar staff and spacious interior and exterior music venue. However they just increased their admission fees and food prices between 30 and 50 percent. Won't be going back.

They have live music most weekends and in the summer a huge outdoor bier garden . The bands play outside in the summer months. The only downside is they charge a five dollar cover charge per person at the entrance. People that go spend enough money. The cover charge is kind of BS.
